I tried "alternatives" first and eventually swallowed the high price and bought an original Whitestone kit, so i do have some experience now, and let me tell you: there is no good alternative to the real thing. That installation tray with all the absorbers and alignment stuff they offer is absolutely worth the money. Oh, and the glass looks and feels much better than the cheap chinesium crap. Did i mention their glass also has a hole for the front-facing camera? Yea, no more blurry and faded selfies. Do yourselves a favor and get the original kit...
you're supposed to gently rest the screen protector on the phone display and then don't even touch it. NOT A BIT. wait 5 minutes. by the time you've finishes waiting you'll see the adhesive has made it's way completely between the protected and the display...i cringed when i saw you mauling the screen protector trying to force the adhesive to spread around everywhere lol

Don't press the screen down. Drop it, align it, and leave it alone so the fluid can spread itself and seep into the crevasses.

Just put the glass on screen and don't do anything and don't touch screen ...you destroy whole process
