What's your opinion on posture correctors? I work at my desk almost 12 hours a day and I noticed I get poor posture over those long periods. I used a posture corrector about a year ago to help reduce the pain from a shoulder impingement. What's your take on using a posture corrector during the week 13+ time period following pec surgery to help maintain shoulder / scapula posture while sitting for long periods? Thanks
Great question. I’ve used posture correctors in the past but found they kinda irritated my shoulders. As a therapist I never recommend them but I don’t tell people not to use them either. The main goal of a posture corrector is reinforcing good posture. I do however recommend standing or adjustable desks which play a better role in improving posture
