*Mr. Aizawa’s speech to Aoyama honestly made me cry. I’m so happy that he has no intention of expelling him since I really don’t think he deserves it. Also Hatsume is back! It’s good to see that she’s still been in relatively high spirits despite everything that’s been happening!*

I am going to point out that this aspect of the story is probably the most pacing issues in the show. To jump from SaS, to the traitor story, to the planning of the final battle, it happened SO fast. Like BLINDINGLY fast. I have no issue with it being over a short period of time, but I do have issue of not spending more time IN that short period. (Like how many feel about the rogue arc. A month was in that arc and spending time with the students desperately looking for Deku while Deku deteriorated would have been AMAZING.) This is without question my all time favorite show, but I won’t turn blind eyes to issues. That being said, I know at this point Horikoshi didn’t know if he wanted to extend the manga or not. He was getting sick a lot, the fandom was being WONDERFULLY supportive. (That is to say the literal OPPOSITE of that.) I think the last time this happened was season 5 after the Endeavor redemption began. And I’d be lying if I wasn’t scared how the finale would go because when a cast is THIS massive, THAT is the biggest concern over the story. Balancing this many characters is INCREDIBLY difficult and to wrap them all up at once is a GARGANTUAN task. This is just to paint where things were at this point in the manga. And I’m already seeing it again for the anime watchers. So for public safety…don’t send threats to creators. PLEASE.
Ok. I’ve addressed my concerns I still want to gush about what worked well. And still paint how the characters are moving their stories along.
Ok. Class A not even FLINCHING their support and judgement over Aoyama being quirkless and how that parallels with them finding out Deku being quirkless, none of that mattered to them. It’s the people they’ve come to see and help. Only Bakugo in season 1 had an issue with quirkless people. (And maybe a bit now. Ordinarily the public he calls “extras” has normal designs with no quirk signals and that was as late as season 5. He’s grown to dislike most people altogether.) I’ll also point out while the class is good about addressing the person underneath the problems NOW, they were VERY distracted by OFA when the class battle happened. Not that I blame them. It went from a neat quirk they’ve trained around to the COOLEST quirk with a 7 quirk fusion attached to it that created the strongest man on the PLANET and they now know they’re watching it happen right before their eyes. It’s a lot easier to accept the sheer circumstance for Aoyama because of people like Deku ready to jump in to help. Even when he has no plan.
Aizawa on the other hand has been WELL aware of Deku being a fantastic strategist, a truly empathetic force, and his never say die attitude, but also knows DANG well he NEVER has an actual plan. There was no plan against Todoroki, there was no plan against Muscular, there was no real plan against Stain, saving Bakugo, stepping up to Overhaul and of COURSE there was next to no plan for his AFS confrontation OR the rogue arc mission. We knew he was trying to draw OUT AFO or AFS but there was no plan if it WORKED. The top 5 heroes would have confronted 2 AFO’s with Deku only at 60-75% at the END and only 45% at the START. It was a walk into the wall until the wall breaks plan. No ladder, no tunnel, no plan to get around it, JUST through it. So now that everyone is together and ready to have this battle as much as they CAN be, they have to leave the grouping and planning to the experienced heroes. And what better choice than Aizawa and All-Might?…as Nezu does NONE OF IT. He just…LISTENS. MENACINGLY. Not like he’s the smartest character in the show specifically meant for such circumstances and a pro hero in his own right.
Deku heads over to the support lab and his ptsd with Mei Hatsume is confirmed. And Iida reveals he opened his human anatomy book. He is ready for the test. (The declaration from Iida had me ROLLING.) But between UA systems getting ready to FLY and her having gauntlets ready and armor ready for Iida is awesome. (The two of them are DEFINITELY her favorite to work on. Deku for needing a walking hospital bed while Iida is for all intents and purposes being a car to maintenance.) She has ordinarily been blind to circumstances up til now but with the sheer stakes involved, the rush jobs, the demand of EVERY hero being in this level of danger this is the 1st time we see her prioritizing projects necessity instead of it being a business transaction to market. She’s likely had to do a LOT of adapting to the sheer amount that has happened in season 6.
And we’re starting to get the organization of heroes for certain fights down. The villains untapped can cause MASSIVE collateral. Dabi has played his hand and no longer has to tame his collateral damage with an unequal team size. He’s an adult in his prime with a quirk that’s a danger to Endeavor by the sheer amount ENDEAVOR is capable of. AFO WITH quirks intact is essentially All-Might in season 1-3 level and that’s a gap Endeavor couldn’t even get all that close to. And Shigaraki needs an ARMY to go against because he’s on that level WITHOUT quirks and WITH quirks is stronger than AFO and All-Might at PRIME level. That ALONE is just a massive issue. You got Nomus, you got Toga who can throw a wrench in any team, you got the MLA, and to top it off, the hero forces is cut in half from last war. This has to go NUTS for this to work.
And Aoyama is the only real point to make a play. He knows he has to be a hero and fight but he’s been in a stranglehold in this for YEARS. He wouldn’t be the traitor if he believed this was possible. But he’ll rise up anyway. He’s more protected than he’s ever been now that they know. And he won’t be alone.
And SHINSO is going to jump into the game. (That one girl from 1-C ALWAYS finds a way to be around Shinso. I noticed it recently. She’s in nearly every Shinso moment no matter how small it is. She doesn’t have a name but she’s always there for him. And I love that for him.)

So Iida and hatsume is apparently a popular ship. I do think that once iida inherits the idaten hero agency, she would be a good part of that team. I mean she does know his exact measurements have made items in line with the agency, with teams for pit stops, tracking, recon, suit management, etc.
She has a good surveillance/recon type quirk. All the support items in the support festival were for aiding mobility and capture that other sidekicks and iida can use. She could probably come up with a better airbag system that tensei had to get rid off for being to bulky and hindering his speed (although even with the airbag, tensei was still moving on par with tenyas recipro speeds). Her hover soles could be modified for iida for better acceleration. She could solve his stiff turning with he auto balance item she made before. They're literally a car and mechanic.

@@tobofu5978 I actually happen to ship them. XD I think they’re hysterical and they have SO much potential being around each other.
Also Tensei is around Tenya’s recipro speeds? I get that’s a possibility NOW with turbo on the table. Iida is probably pushing some pretty high Mach speeds now. And if he IS going to be as fast as Gran Torino that’s Mach 20 range!

@@Kaempfdog only reason i say that about tensei is cause his recipro doesnt stall him out. Also the way he uses it is different. While we see tenya uses it as a mobility buff with a time limit, tensei moreso uses for short bursts of acceleration
