Do they not all get bused up into the espinlade anymore?
Imagine making them all have to carry their equipment up that huge set of stairs. They should get better treatment than that!

Just curious, is there a reason why the buses don't pull up onto the esplanade and discharge the performers instead of making them lug all of that kit and drums up those steps?
It is because this was just for dress rehearsals, so they hadn't closed off the Royal Mile, I believe when shows start properly tonight, the buses will drive right up onto the esplanade.
@@welshduckman8562 Thanks for the reply but I do recall seeing videos from last year that were regular performances and the performers were still trudging up those steps with all of that gear and heavy instruments. Am I mistaken?
@@algonzales1809 It is possible, I do know in previous years the buses have driven right up to Esplanade, I wasn't there last year, so I wouldn't know. It is possible that it is easier logistically because it is difficult getting all the buses in and out of Esplanade, being as cramped as it is. If the buses drop us at the bottom, they can just stay there then, as they can just wait there until everyone marches down from the castle.

Well I recognized the Irish 1st battalion and the Scottish pipers Scottish air force but very annoyed how the tourists get in the way of these armed force people those instruments aren't light thank you for filming this I hope this year's show is better than last year's

Ah , the Royal Marines ! In the 60 s I was there.Actually , I belonged to the only Scottish unit of R Marines.( RMFVR Scotland). In the Castle in the room commemorated to Scottish regiments , it has the RM crest. for Scotland . Not a lot of people know that. Now I'm ' old and worn out ' as the ancient discharge book says.😀
You belong to the generation that built everything that current generations are enjoying and that they are also fighting to destroy!

I went to the Tattoo last year, it has lost it's appeal now, too many 'showbiz' performers? That, combined with people drinking and then going to the loo all evening?! Why pay to see the show then miss it? I had a strike on some of my videos and yet others filmed the whole show and their films are still available! very odd.
