- Inio Asano is my favorite mangaka of all time. I don't feel confident enough in my writing yet to talk about Punpun, so I'll start by talking about my second favorite manga of his, Solanin.

Music used in this video (in order):
• Asian Kung-Fu Generations - Mustang
• Asian Kung-Fu Generations - Shinsekai no Love Song
• Boogiepop and Others - Main Theme 2 (Kensuke Ushio)
• Welcome to the NHK - Hitori Bocchi (Pearl Brothers)
• Welcome to the NHK - Gosui ni Tarasu Tsuriito (Pearl Brothers)
• Asian Kung-Fu Generations - Soranin
I remember reading the first chapter of solanin when I was in a teenager and I didn’t get into it. Now being a bit older and being smacked in the face with reality I couldn’t put it down when picked it up again recently. Such a great video, just found your channel a hour ago and been watching a ton of your videos.
Growing up now, the world feels as hopeless as some of solanins characters feel. Your dreams shrink, as if to fit how small you feel in this chaotic world. The people around you, the hobbies you have, those come into closer focus. Changing the world? What does that even mean? The world changes anyway, and so will you. All there is are these feelings that build up and fade away. Solanin really hits hard for anyone on the edge of these transitions.
Our band made a full album inspired by Inio Asano.
I didn't like the Epilogue
I’m at the point in my life where I’m going to give up and give In to the ordinary life and world tbh I hate it but I have no other choices or options left I tried I really did and nothing ever happens and I regret trying and wasting all my time and putting myself through so much anguish at constantly failing and never being good enough
Beautifully done and so heartfelt. I just finished reading Solanin -- and I needed someone to "discuss it" with. This video was the perfect opportunity for that. Thank you.
