@kidhameli. Only MC Water Water(he's the one that sounds a little like ODB) passed away in a car accident. I'm the Drummer on this, and "Karma Hotel". Thanks for all the kind comments everyone!
Ho-ly-sh-it! I've been searching for this song for YEARS now, nobody could help me and I nearly gave up... and now here it is. My childhood memories (especially sitting in my parents car) are so strong with this one. 🖤
same here. I only knew that there was something with an ambulance or similar in the video. l actually didn't search for it for years and didnt think about it any more because I just didnt findt it. Some days ago a german twitch streamer got it as a backround song and shazam found it by recording it for like 2 seconds. Years of searching and waiting just unexpectedly ended.
@@Flo1337 The feeling of finding a song that never really left the brain and the heart is absolutely amazing. Happy for you my friend. :-) We did it. lol
I heard this song about 5-7 years ago when I was driving to Florida, the chorus was in the back of my mind for years. I finally decided to look it up, and I'm so glad I did...I love this song, it's real music.
I just love watching Laurence slowly carrying the gurney, exchanging looks with the nurse, and quietly sipping his coffee. Such good non-verbal acting there. Lots of melancholy and resignation, hoping for a better life. I remember this video since childhood.
Really talks about this song, but it is consistently a certified banger of an absolute jam. one of the most underrated songs I've ever heard in my entire life
one of the greatest songs ever ! hearing this again after 10 years its even better than the day it was released... and now compare the fugees and spooks to modern songs /bands...you cant because this is music the world hasnt seen for many years
I was 10 when this first came out and i loved this group growin up. But it takes some life experiences to fully distil the lyrical genius and the depth of this track. Wow. Blown away.
Yeah, this joint was a banger. They were good, the spooks. Damn, it kinda sucked that they didn't have a mainstream career. But doesn't define how great they sounded as group. Reminds me, the roots and probably black eyed peas are the only avante garde rap groups, incorporating more dynamic musical texture, that holds the torch of mainstream success for cliques like this. Always appreciate unconvential rap groups that at least got a moment to share it to the world. Big up the Spooks.
Chameleon Nadae That whole CD was awesome. They "touched" mainstream a little, but the truth is, there were too good for mainstream. People want something easy, they don't want to think.
+Chameleon Nadae They disbanded not long after the death of a founding member and the release of their second album. It seems there was a slew of things going on with them.
[Chorus:] You won't believe the things I've seen Far beyond your wildest dreams I've seen chaos and order reign supreme I've seen the beauty of the universe so peaceful and serene in seconds turn to violence and screams Life! Your heart is one with your brain Emotional or reason, now which one do you obey? Life! Somebody callin you insane When overwhelmed and blessed, burst in tears of happiness
Certain songs are special to certain people coz they mean something at a certain time...this is a snap shot of a time that holds so many good memories for me...it will travel with me for the rest of my life!

I remember crying while watching this video when i was young, but then in France they replaced it with the other version maybe because they thought it was too intense for child to watch it, and this one got stuck in my head since now. Thanks, i guess i found out why i always wanted to work in a morgue!
Souvenirs souvenirs j'étais enfant quand cette musique est sortie je l'écoute toujours depuis 🖤🖤🖤 Memories memories I was a child when this music came out I have always listened to it since 🖤🖤🖤
Wow! This one had always been my third fave on the album behind Sweet Revenge and The Mission, but seeing the video for the first time makes me truly appreciate it in a whole new light. What an incredible, lovely, haunting, and disturbing song, and what a great video that sums it all up! Thanks SO much for uploading this. Ming, your vocal talents are incredible!
Spooks was a hip-hop/R&B group active in the late 1990s. After attaining success throughout Europe with their record S.I.O.S.O.S., Vol. 1, Spooks garnered a hit with the single "Things I've Seen" (featured in the Laurence Fishburne film Once in the Life). Water-Water left the group before their second album Faster Than You Know and died in a car accident shortly before the album's release. The group disbanded soon afterwards, with little heard from the members since.
Great lyrics, tight delivery, the female vocalist is VERY attractive, & Lawrence Fishburne is in the video to boot, epic win! The other version of this is still my fave of the two though.
2020... Anybody? Still classic, still good. Greetings from Germany

There should be more songs like this nowadays. Unfortunately, it seems that those times are gone. Classy song! R.I.P. Water Water.

This older version is better than the version filmed in the tunnel (clip).
