I was given an 11 month female Doberman . The situation was detrimental. I was the last resource to keep her alive. She was all over the place without any kind of training. The breeder had different plans with her. But she’s still too inquisitive. I fall in love with her. And yes. They do understand sign language.🤟
Thanks to you i got my own doberman and she 5 months old and it takes almost 0 effort to train her. i love that dog so much and i dont even like dogs just this breed.
@DobermanPlanet our doberman was previously ab*sed and his ears look weird as you can see from the profile picture, but we have saved and adopted him, and now he has a loving home
I've seen videos of the talking buttons used with dogs and cats. I wanted to try them but I know Sammy would just chew them up any chance he got. He knows hand signals, he knows left and right, how to push the metal bar to open the door at the mail room and recently learned to close the microwave door. Although, he's trying to close it while I have my hand in there to get the food out. lol
My Dobie only knows three commands using just one hand (sit, lie down and stay). She probably would know more if I were as diligent as James....lol. My major struggle, is teaching my high strung Dobie to heal and that is even after taking training classes. My black/rust Dobie was easier to keep to my side but my red/rust is very high strung. She is seven and still this way. We adopted her from the Breeder after a family gave her up and she has been a Blessing to me for 6+ years. Great work James!!!
Haha yes, consistency really plays a big factor! So sorry that the trainer didn't seem to help much. Here is a recent video we did on heeling that should help: ruclips.net/video/uw1y_T2qDh8/видео.htmlsi=kEf28vr9221iAl0j
All my dobies were easily trained. I used many hand signals with them and they even understood head nods. I also had other breed dogs and they weren't as intelligent. Dobies aim to please. They love their humans.
I LOVE THEM SO!!!! My sixth one just passed away (on December 4th) She was 11 yrs old. I can't not have them around.. (I hope I can soon get more). They are Doberman!!! This Sign Language guy is quite awesome!
As a person who used to own a deaf aussie, I wasn't aware there were people who thought dogs couldn't learn sign language. Lol. My dobe actually "listens" better to hand signals than my actual words.
That may be because of the restriction. As in my video.. mr echo does nearly perfect on leashless walks.. if i add a leash.. his behavior changes to him getting stubborn and pulling. For us.. it's now a matter of trust. I'll trust he obeys... and he trusts i will allow him his own reigns.
I know they can. I use hand signals with commands for my doberman, I can literally just move my hand in that motion and she will perform the command without me even speaking. They are incredibly intelligent dogs, my girl is the smartest dog I've ever owned...sometimes a little too smart. I wish I could say I hadn't been manipulated by my own dog, but it's happened. 🤣
Well even though I haven't gotten a Doberman yet I really do like the Doberman breed because of how smart the dogs are because in all actuality we truly don't deserve dogs because they'll love us unconditionally it just isn't right how we treat them ok so since I'm disabled I want to get a working dog like a Doberman because even though I don't really need protection because I got them hands it'd be great to have a working dog like a Doberman and I even have the name for my dog and everything I want to name her Turkey So anyways, God bless you brother John and you're awesome family 👩👧👧 keep up the great work that you're doing for the kingdom of Heaven with the encouraging words that you're giving right now 🔥✝️🙌🏿🪽✨️🫗
A Doberman sounds like it would be a great breed for you! Hopefully you'll be able to have a service Doberman someday. Thank you for reaching out! God bless you as well!

Haha good point! They are very fast learners! Aussies are an intelligent breed too!
Impressive........I can't even stop my doobie from pulling, unless I use a prong collar😂
