Stonehenge has become a cash cow, and in my eyes is quite obscene. They should have left it as it was. The stones in the wall at Sarum are indeed flint nodules, and the flowers in the grass that you looked at aren't clover, they look more like Self heal. Sauron was the ruler of Mordor and wanted the ring, twasn't Sarum, but you did make me laugh. I've been to Avebury, I found it peaceful and rather lovely. And I had a great Aunt live in Burford. Am enjoying your Grand tour so far.
