I remember a lot of them saying that his style of boxing won't match the likes of Barrera, Morales and Marquez. Years later at the age of 40, Manny beats a 29 year old undefeated champ. ^_^

That's where the speed really comes from. It's not his hands, even though they are quick as well. It is his LEGS that allow him to land a straight left hand from 5 feet away in a fraction of a second. He can close the gap faster than just about any fighter I can think of.

Pacquiao still has a lot of speed. A lot. The power thing....he has been fighting welterweights and he really is NOT a welterweight. He is more a jr. welterweight or even a lightweight. He has been fighting above his real weight class for about a decade. That is the reason for lack of knockouts, although he has hurt the bigger welterweights plenty of times and could have knocked a few of them out if he had been really aggressive. I think Horn has a punchers chance but if he doesn't get lucky and land a big right hand Pacquiao is going to take him out. Horn has NEVER EVER fought anyone with the combination of speed and power Pacquaio brings and Horn is damn easy to hit.

Fighting as 144 lbs for middleweight, that was tough because he is receiving heavy punches. But still, Pacquiao demolish the face of Margarito because of speed.
Second, even though Dela Hoya prime against Pacquiao prime. Same result. Pacquiao will still win. Dela Hoya is not as clever in terms of defense like Mayweather. Pacquiao has too much speed against Dela Hoya.
