I know it was made a while ago, but this was such a helpful video.

Thanks for the vid. Can the method for under 25mm holes be used for ceilings? Is the tape enough to avoid a sag?

So I dispose of the rubbish into the wall cavity? No wonder when I go in my roof space there are more offcuts of things than insulation. Why's the bottom line on tradies invoices always 'Disposed of rubbish and cleaned area'? Should be just 'hid the rubbish'.

Is that 1x rapid patch and 1x 50ml of water or 150ml of water?

Wait 20min before sanding, more like 24 hours, there's nothing rapid about it.

Ginger Snaps mine was still wet 24 hours later. Took around 48 hours to totally dry.

Fkn hell - I am so sick of patching drywall.
Yes yes... I know it's easy to repair.. and it's fireproof.. and it's cheap.. and and and...
    But the stuff is fragile.

You're supposed to plaster, sheet or tile over them.

Not necessarily. It has excellent fire proof properties, it's relatively cheap and easy to install, and easy to repair and work with. Yes it's brittle, but you can't build every wall in a building out of bricks or thermal blocks. And if you skim it with plaster than it gets far stronger and much harder to damage. If you damage plasterboard or need to run chases or put holes in it, you can easily patch it up. If you did that with say tiles or wooden cladding, it's far harder to repair the damage and make it look good. It's not perfect but no building material is perfect or doesn't come with pros/cons. What else would we reasonably and affordably use for lining or building walls with if not plasterboard?
