    I’m hoping you can answer a question for me. I have seen a few Japanese woodworkers use a cup with what looks like a bunch of rags stuffed in it. They dunk their chisel edge in it once and a while during use. Do you know what this cup is called and what it’s purpose is?

      I think its oily rags, less wear and tear on the chisel and also makes the cuts smoother i suppose. Im six months late but oh well

      @@jay.b843 yes! I’ve since discovered is a bundle of rags tightly rolled up and stuffed in a can and then soaked in oil. Thanks for the reply !

      Usualy it has to be Camila oil.
