In January 2020 I was lucky enough to stay at the fabulous Negresco Hotel in Nice. Around 11.00pm I availed myself of the cocktail bar and as I was sipping my concoction, this tune (instrumental version) came over the sound system. Most welcome.
Many of SOS songs remind me of other artists from the 60s like Burt Bacharach. That's why I like them. They have their own sound but you hear the influences. Like this song sounds like the theme from Shaft by Isaac Hayes.
It's hard to say which one of Swing Out Sister's albums is my favorite, they are all favorites! All class! Have all of their albums on vinyl and CD except "Live in Tokyo" released in 2005. If anyone has that CD, could you please upload it? It's impossible to find that one. Thanks!
