Apparently future Earth and other planets don't have time zones. I started reading these comics around 1966, but I read some older stories (including this one) in reprints or by getting back issues at yard sales.
The Omnibus versions are my favorite. They have a massive amount of stories and I generally get them at a reasonable price. They are releasing a new line called DC Finest that looks interesting.
Editors made a mistake by showing Lightning Man in Action Comics both in cover and story. Also there were.planning to create a super pet team lead by Propie. The script was rewritten three times.
I assume you're saying that by showing Lightning Man, DC revealed that they planned on bringing Lightning Lad back to life. I'd say that DC basically gave away that he was going to be resurrected from the moment he died. I think that his death and resurrection could have been handled a lot better overall. I really don't like the means they used to bring him back. I'm currently reading the issue where the Legion of Super-Pets are working with the Legion of Super-Heroes and it's a pretty crazy story.
@@DCSilverAgeStorytime The Legion Outpost Letter Columns of the era acknowledge Lightning Man's existing, thus the editors were aware that certain fans knew Garth would be revived eventually...

Classic tale a shame the totally ridiculous Bierbaum retcon forever tarnished it...
I don't know about that retcon. I generally just choose which retcons I will and will not accept.
@@DCSilverAgeStorytime Basically Garth died in 304--and Proty took over his body in 312--absolutely stupid....
