Thank you for sharing .I’ve just come from your slab laying video and then to this and I laughed …I’m sorry..at the previous green house blowing away..I laughed because I got mine yesterday and a friend I sent picture of it in advertisement as I’ve not put it up yet said her daughter had one and to watch out when windy.. 🤪 we all know how unpredictable our British weather is lol . I had ordered it because I’ve been unable to get a proper green house as all sold out for ages so I ordered the plastic one and all sorts of gardening tools and also stones to do drainage Etc and while waiting for it to be delivered yesterday the greenhouse I wanted had one available and I quickly ordered it so now my son and I have two to put up. The plastic one will be shielded by the wind a little though .I’m grateful to see you all building it..it’s encouraging. Thank you. I’ve 👍🏻🔔 and look forward to watching your other videos. Edit..oh just looked at your videos and I could only find 5 .. from 2 years ago ..I do hope you plan to make more I’d be interested in how you grow..esp veggies if you do as I’m new to it all .
Thanks for the videos. I'm glad you've had some success with the greenhouse so far. I've been persuaded to buy this same 6 x 6 greenhouse for my son. Now regretting it as I would not design anything as flimsy as this. For my base I've put four 1.8m sleepers in a level square and anchored them together and into the ground with metal brackets/stakes. Having built the greenhouse I'll now strengthen the poly panels after seeing all the problems people have had in the wind e.g. Home Grown Veg on RUclips.
Thank you Angela - it was a big job but well worth it. Now enjoying growing lots of stuff in the greenhouse! Thanks again and I’m glad you enjoyed the videos!
Thank you for your lovely comment! The greenhouse is great and I am really enjoying it. Got lots growing in it this year and it really stood up well over the winter. Thanks again!
Thank you! It was fun making the video and I’m now enjoying the greenhouse. I’m growing a lot in it this season. It was definitely worth the money and the effort of putting it up. Hope you’re enjoying yours too.
@@byjoveshesdoneit7590 We ordered the 8x12 which turns out to be the 8x8 with a 4 foot extension. A real pain to put up and in the end we opted to go to the 8x8 install and forget about the additional 4 foot. It was much easier and clean to put up. My advice to anyone is stick with the 8x8 and forget anything larger.
Hi, this is great! I was just wondering about how you screwed it into the concrete. I know it comes with holes ready for you to do this but what kind of screw did you use to put it into the concrete and did you need a plug? Just wondering what I need to buy to do this myself now my greenhouse has arrived as I’ve never secured anything into concrete before! Thanks!
Great job!!! You make it look sooo easy ;). How is it holding up? I think I am going to purchase this one, I'v been researching GH for a year now.. Thanks, from Pa. U.S.
Thank you - it was a big job and I perhaps shouldn’t have attempted it in the wind. But I’m so pleased I went to the effort of putting it up. It survived the winter here in the U.K. - and I live at the top of a hill with high winds and it never came down or even had any of the windows blow out. It’s a great greenhouse and this year plants seem to be thriving in it. Not sure if you bought one yet but good luck with your installation and let me know how you get on!
@@byjoveshesdoneit7590 Speaking of wind, two questions if I can. Did you bolt or screw the frame into the ground to make it more secure, and do you think putting some kind of silicone in the wall and roof channels before sliding plastic sheets in would make it more secure. Trying to get feedback prior to assembling one this coming spring. Thanks
@@HamiltonRb Hi - yes, I screwed it into the ground - there are holes in the four corners of the frame for you to do this. It's really secure when you've done this. I'm not sure about putting silicon in - it might help - but in all honesty, mine has been really fine without it and we've had a lot of wind since I put it up. Hope this helps and good luck assembling your greenhouse and with your gardening!
I bought the exact same model but cannot get all the side panels to fit the frame! The width between parts 993 on either side is at least 2" narrower than the panels. I almost cut the panels in a rage to get them to fit lol. Any advice is completely appreciated, By Jove :).
I'm having real trouble with the front apex assembly. There's nothing to keep it together! The bottom panels fall out as there's nothing to secure them, and also the top of the apex doesn't seem to secure together. Been working on it about 5 hours. No hope for me!
I had same problem, I bought a hoop house, working on the base now, how did you secure frame to blocks? Did you use drill and screws or other type anchor.
Yes, there are holes pre-drilled into the base of the frame, so I drilled through these to create holes in the paving slabs and then used screws to secure it on to my paving slabs. Hope this helps.
Hi. Yes there are holes already in the base of the greenhouse for you to place screws into. I can't remember what size screws I used - I just experimented with ones that I already had. If you use ones that measure about half the depth of your paving slabs then you should be OK, I think. Happy gardening!
Help!! Hello good people. I'm having trouble with with vent window on the top. If I just clip it in it opens and closes but the if I push up slightly on it l, it pops out. Wind had also done this. I think the reasoning for this is because I have no idea how to install the little rubber pieces that look like they are 5 sided and about 1-2 inches long. They do snap on place or do they slide on place from the right and left side. Any help will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks
Hi - Sorry for the delay. I seem to recall I had this problem last year with the window and the catch was forever popping out. I think I just spent a long time fiddling around with it until I got it to sit tight. And this year I seem to have had no problems with it. I’m really sorry I can’t be more helpful or more specific but I hope you manage to sort it out.
Hi - no the windows are really secure. I was half expecting them to pop out in high winds - and we’ve had really huge gales here since it’s been up - but it’s all stayed intact over the winter. I’m really pleased with it to be honest.
It’s really secure in the wind. As long as you screw it down in the holes provided onto concrete then it won’t move. I live in a very windy area of the UK and I was fully expecting to have to deal with the windows popping out but they have stayed really intact and didn’t pop out at all over the winter.
Hi - yes I love mine too. It seems to be doing a lot better this year than last - perhaps it’s the weather or maybe the greenhouse has had time to heat up because it’s been up longer. At the moment I’ve got peppers, chillis, aubergines, cucamelons and miniature melons. Earlier in the season I started off a lot of flower seeds as well as my brassicas and beans before moving them outside. What have you got in yours?

Have you been happy with the size of this greenhouse, has it been big enough for your requirements? I looking at replacing my current larger poorer quality greenhouse with this one.
You all did a wonderful job and showed tremendous teamwork. Bravo!

Most helpful, Thank You! We just prepped the deck and surrounding fence and will, very soon, be assembling our Mythos. Fun Video, love it!! Thanx

those polycarbonate windows, do they blow out in strong winds?

How is it holding up, if you don't mind me asking?
Did you anchor it to the foundation? Would be afraid it could be taken by wind.
Yes, there are holes pre-drilled into the base of the frame, so I drilled through these to create holes in the paving slabs and then used screws to secure it on to my paving slabs. Hope this helps.
@@byjoveshesdoneit7590 I have made an easy ring from brick blocks, bolted impregnated 2x4s and fixed greenhouse to these.

Hi
Do you have an email address i can write to?
Too fast and missing detail
Why can't people just make a normal video
is that why you haven't uploaded a single one?
I just got this in the mail and the panels are PLASTIC.
Looks really cheap.
What did you think polycarbonate was?
