A lot has changed since Cabview Holland last driven on this line. So it's high time to take a look again! Nowadays, R-NET operates this line. 18-year-old Stan Hop is your driver on this ride. Sinds Cabview Holland voor het laatst op deze lijn reed, is er veel veranderd. Hoog tijd dus om er weer eens een kijkje te nemen! Tegenwoordig rijdt R-NET op deze lijn. Op deze rit is de 18 jarige Stan Hop jullie machinist. Hij vertelde dat hij tijdens zijn opleiding veel naar Train Driver's POV keek. Cabview Holland bedankt R-NET voor de gastvrijheid. DONATE? - Dear followers! I find it incredibly fun and exciting awaiting your reactions every day! I always try to respond at least with a like. Maintaining a channel and making new films continuously takes a lot of time, and also money. To be able to produce hours of 4K material every day, a standard computer simply does not suffice. I do not get any compensation in money from the Dutch Railways, nor compensation in time. A very moderate compensation for the hours of free time that I spend daily is the advertising revenue from RUclips. But although YT really spams my movies with advertisement, the conclusion is that I would be better off doing one hour of overtime every week at the Dutch Railways. I did already know that it is possible to set up a possibility to donate easily via Paypal, but I have always withheld this because I did not want to give the impression that I have set up this channel for the money. But when I got a personal message from regular viewer Wolly9102 that he wanted to make a donation, I have decided to offer everyone the opportunity to make a donation, entirely voluntarily. This is possible with a single amount, but also with an automatic, monthly contribution. In my next uploads you will see a Paypal link that you can click on and thus contribute to the continuation of this channel. But, donation or not, I'm just as happy with all of you as followers! Amongst the channels with much nicer cab rides like Switzerland and Norway, we are not doing bad here. Are we? Thanks!
DONEREN? - Beste volgers! Ik vind het elke dag weer ontzettend leuk en spannend wat jullie reacties zijn! Ik probeer altijd te reageren, op zijn minst met een hartje. Jullie kunnen begrijpen dat het bijhouden van een kanaal, en het continu maken van nieuwe films, heel veel tijd kost, maar ook geld. Om elke dag uren aan 4K-materiaal te kunnen produceren, voldoet een standaard computer gewoon niet.. Ik krijg van de NS geen vergoeding in geld, of compensatie in tijd. Een zeer matige compensatie voor de uren aan vrije tijd die ik hier dagelijks in steek, zijn de reclame-opbrengsten van RUclips. Maar hoewel YT mijn films volpropt met reclame, is de conclusie dat ik beter elke week een overuurtje kan maken bij de NS. Nu wist ik al dat het mogelijk is om via Paypal een mogelijkheid te bieden om eenvoudig te kunnen doneren. Ik heb dit altijd afgehouden, omdat ik niet de indruk wil wekken dat ik dit kanaal voor het geld heb opgezet. Maar ik kreeg van vaste kijker Wolly9102 een persoonlijk bericht dat hij graag een donatie wilde doen, en mede dankzij zijn advies hierover, heb ik toch besloten een mogelijkheid te bieden aan iedereen om geheel vrijwillig een donatie te kunnen doen. Dat kan met een enkel bedrag, maar ook met een automatische, maandelijkse bijdrage. Bij mijn uploads zul je voortaan een Paypal-link zien waarop je kunt klikken en zo kunt bijdragen aan het voortzetten van dit kanaal. Ik ben er heilig van overtuigd dat de flirt echt de allerbeste keuze is geweest voor deze lijn
Hello Meester V!! Such a nice change to depart Gouda southwards without crossing the huge lifting bridge!! Please pass on my thanks to Stan and every best wish for his future career. Oh, and I was very impressed with the layout of Aplhen a/d Rijn, from the Google Earth shot. 👍🏼
This is the normal route for this particular train though. The bridge was build on the spot where the old railroad bridge over the Gouwe used to be. Like the new(single track)bridge the old was a(3 track)swing bridge.
In 1989 this bridge was replaced by the current lifting bridge with 4 tracks. The swing bridge was commissioned in 1997 and as you can claerly see in this video can only be used by trains going to Alphen en vice versa.
Another bit of trivia at 1:55 you can see catanaries also for more then 1 track. There were planning a new station in Gouda but it has yet to come in to existence(subject for comment?)

Toevallig dat we het er gisteren over hadden :P
Zozo! wat is er op de lijn veel veranderd vooral de 2 extra stations, vooral die station voor Waddinxveen kende ik helemaal niet. En ook de aankomst snelheden te station Waddinxveen en Boskoop, en ook de plaatsing van hoog seinen op die 2 stations, en die uitrij/inrij seinen bij Alphen aan de rijn, zie wel dat ik erg lange tijd niet meer op deze lijn ben geweest.

I never knew that the train drivers on this line were different from the train drivers from NS. NS drives on this line under the name R-net so I figured it would use NS drivers.
Do the train drivers on this line also drive on Dordrecht-Geldermalsen? Since that line is also operated by R-net. If not then being a train driver on this line must be quite boring.
I think so too.. I think only the Alphen line is run by NS.

Qua materieel wel, veel zitplaatsen en veel deuren.
Waarom is er ijzer als BVL gebruikt op de brug 2:14
Dat deel gaat met de brug mee omhoog en die delen moeten wat steviger zijn. Een stukje koperdraad kan ook niet afgespannen worden, ook al is daar wel weer een constructie voor te bedenken wat het allemaal weer te kostbaar maakt.
Oke ook weer wat geleerd maar gaat er wel gewoon stroom door heen

@@CabviewHolland De brug op 2:14 is een draaibrug (volgens mij de lage Gouwe brug genoemd). De hefbrug (de hoge Gouwe brug) staat er links naast.
