I Came late to the Valkyrie party but I’m here now I got a 2000 interstate last June, I’m in love with the style, power and reliability. The bike I bought had a 2 inch folder of invoices for tuneups , tires, chrome parts and even a dyno test making 93hp after pipes and jetting it’s a masterpiece! Fellow riders please ride safe.
Better late than never. Sounds like you got a great Valkyrie from a previous owner who took great care of her. Enjoy the miles and smiles this bike will bring you!
As a Valkyrie rider enthusiast and with it's Flat-6 , I refer to myself as a "flatliner". It's a blessing every chance I get to ride my "angel" and journey towards Valhalla before I ultimately flat-line! Thanks for posting your video and as a new subscriber, I look forward to more content. Til next time, Keep Wingin' It!
Absolutely magnificent motorcycle. I ‘m working on getting one like this very soon. I got one more spot in my garage next to my Honda VFR 1200X Crosstourer.
Great choice, you will love it! I have ridden down to Dubrovnik several times on a Valkyrie and it's just the best. Mountains to the left and the sea to the right, great campgrounds, friendly people and amazing food! Let me know when you get your Valkyrie ;-)
@@vancityvalkyrie wow really, you rode your Valkyrie down the Croatia’s famous Magistrala, coastal road going to Dubrovnik? But it looks to me that you’re somewhere in N. America like USA or Canada. You shipped the Valk to Europe and then did the roadtrip here?!
@@CROtourer I'm originally from Germany. Long story short... my dad bought his Valkyrie while I just got my driver's license for motorcycles and I was not allowed to ride such a big bike yet. When I turned 20 he tossed me the keys and said "here, go ride the dragon!" Since then I am addicted to the Valkyrie. Rode all of Europe and Croatia was always my favourite. Stayed a long time at Camp Male Ciste campground, rode up Sveti Jure, just enjoyed every second. The Valkyrie I am riding now I bought in Germany in 2014 and imported it to Canada in 2018. Since then we're exploring the Pacific North West. Beautiful roads, but if I had to choose again... I would take the alpine passes and Croatia over here. Ride a Valkyrie on Stelvio Pass, you'll understand. Low torque power and handling, you will love it!!!
@@vancityvalkyrie wow what a great story and circumstances. You have a cool dad, have to tell you that! Male Ciste camp is in Drvenik town, beautiful little place on the coast, just under the Biokovo mountain. And you went to Sveti Jure (Saint George) mountain top of the Biokovo mountaim with the Valk! You’re an ace in my book 😁 been there 2 times with the Crosstourer, after all, that machine was built for that. My profile photo here on YT was taken on top of Biokovo mountain on Sveti Jure! 😃 One of my best friends lives in Vancouver, he is also from Croatia, he is out there all the time with his Jeep Wrangler traveling the coast, I have a general plan of visiting him there. When you decide to come to Croatia to ride again, let me know in advance. We will ride together and, hopefully by that time, I’ll be also riding the mighty Valk!
The Valkyrie is a cold blooded beast to start up in winter. But, once the carburetors are warm, there is no better ride. It's like having two heaters by your feet.
New friend and Sub, but great work here! Cool custom, too! ('97 Valk owner) Also, it may not be your groove, but a good windshield makes a HUGE difference in comfort, especially if you're trying to block cold wind. Just a suggestion, though. :-)
I had two brand new Valkyries in the 90's. I loved that flat 6 . I put a Corbin Seat on my last one and that made long rides more comfy . Memphis Shades shield and Baker Air Wings made a huge turbulence issue non existent . Close them in the winter and the engine heat warned you up. Open in the summer and the wind cooled you and the engine . Had two bike after . A Fatboy Anniversary in light blue metallic and a Brand new Gold wing . Loved every bike I had except a Bmw K bike way too top heavy . God awful beast . Slow speed maneuvers were horrible . Tall and top heavy . Took off 8 years riding way too much work at Corporate America ! Retired and never looked back itching to ride again . I want two bikes. A new Fatboy and a new Gold wing.
You have done well with your set up, looks great. I got a 2001 and been thinking of going with the solo seat, Can I ask what hard bags you are using? Thanks
Good to see you back. Hope all is well for you. Here's me thinking that stupid idiots braking in front of you for no reason would just be happening on our roads. It must be an international collaboration. I like your LED night lites setup. Enjoy your cool mornings, over here we have been suffering several heat waves back to back, 45 degrees C for many days in a row with little reprieve between. My Valky hasn't been out for weeks. Take care Bro.
All good besides the cold and wet winter weather here. I'd be happy with a mix in between your and our temperatures here. 45 degrees is a bit too much. That feels like riding with a blow dryer in front of your face all the time on full heat. Hope it'll cool down a bit so you can go for some nice rides. Cheers, mate!

99 interstate. Just got it. Wow.
@@pilotwhale Congratulations! The first ride is awesome and it'll just get better! Enjoy, bro!!! And let me know how it goes...
Welcome back, hope all is well man. I drive a 2001 Valkyrie but it's still relaxing to watch videos of people driving their Valkyries.
All good, just haven’t uploaded anything in a while. Enjoy your Valk! Summer can’t come soon enough here!!!

Very nice video! And a beer can is great ))

I got a windshield but I prefer the wind around my face. Thanks for the sub and comment ;-)
Love the beer can! 😂
Caught my eye too. Is that diy, or store bought thing?
The “beer filter”. Just a beer can with the top cut off. It fits perfectly over the oil filter and protects it from rocks.
@@vancityvalkyrie is that a 0.3 or 0.5 L ?
