I went to my first run-what-ya-brung at the drags, at Adelaide International on a Wednesday night in 1980 or '81. That was an eye opener, and a lesson in never judge a book by its' cover. Dyno runs for all who are interested is another one. Sometimes the cars or bikes that look like they're going to work, do, but often they don't. People do delight in building show ponies and sleepers.
i love both Holdens and Fords, but, strap a Ford with a Turbo Barra on the dyno, and it beats just about every Holden ! Again, love em or hate em, that Barra is an awesome engine ! :)
Andrew Murray so majority of barras are beating holdens on dynos? Or would you like to rephrase your comment by stating everyones budget has alot to do with dyno numbers?
*falcon hell these guys are almost pumping out a half Megawatt of power* 😲 let that sink in for a bit the next time you check your domestic power consumption bill 😨
An xy gt would make even less power but cost a shit load more, it's not always about the power. Not that you'd ever need to worry, zero chance for you buddy. Stick to your au falcon x taxi
lol must feel bad to have a supercharged LS and only make 401hp...my ls1 with cam and bolt ons makes 409 and could make even more with a fast intake and UD pulley
Australian dynotech dynos usually are low reading, especially compared to the mustang/dynojet in the usa. 280wkw on this dyno is actually about 500hp at the engine. Which is just about spot on.
One rev off the limiter won't kill a car unless your engine is a piece of shit I agree he should limiter bounce but with some cats you don't know where the limiter is
@@notbahhhdgoodsize5793 fuck me did either of you two peanuts even look at the graph, he very clearly did it because the car was still making power, evidence of wheel slip
dartanion 007 prob stock LS1. Hard to feed much boost in and timing with that high comp. prob made 180rwkw from factory so 400+ isn’t bad on I assume 98 octane.
So many people don't understand about parasitic losses. The power figures quoted by manufacturers are always at the flywheel. Wheel hp is significantly less. 11:05 This AMG Benz for instance is rated at 507hp by MB and it makes 385whp on the chassis dyne. That's 24% loss with a modern transmission and diff.
Thanks for attending & uploading! You guys do some awesome camera work & keep car enthusiasts coming back to your channel for more!
I love dyno days ! What ever car you like dyno days lets everyone enjoy them all.
Thanks for coming along fullBOOST. great guys and stayed all day!
They stayed all day waiting for big number like they got at the aps all fords day 👊🤣 that 1 barra in the vid was very impressive 😉
Nice clean vl's nice to see you don't see many on the road these days
You know it’s powerful when it’s doing a burnout on the Dyno...
That 1 barra in 8:40 killed alot of these v8s numbers 👊🤣 BarraTheWorld
That black VK at the end, holy crap....Beast, 606rwkw. thats insayne
Gotta love the white vl dosing with the cam gear not spinning lol
Still cant get over how some of your straight sixes make as much as our eights... used to laugh at fellows with four door sedans.
TheCanadianBubba we dont muck around

Fuck me, the tech needs to learn how to look at and read a tacho. He's smashing the limiter almost every time.
not his car not his problem....
Turbo LSX motors sound amazing
Looks like a great day out, thanks for sharing.
The mx5 made me smile
Just about everyone there shops at the same wheel shop by the looks😉🤔
its simmons wheels. theyre Australian made, or at least they used to be
rawr2400 Yeah I know the wheel. Seems to be the latest trend by the looks haha. I hope they're still Australian!
@@boostedbuiltgarage Simmons are part of the culture mate some look good on cars some don't but for the most part they suit most Aussie cars
That white vn ss turbo
+Lukeymadookey Holdsworth
It recently ran 10.4 at 129mph.
Fullboost very impressive bunch of cars, but yes that vn is my favourite
"I just want one"
5:20, to answer his question, Not very....
Must be the Grill..
some really nice cars, but some absolute nuggets...how does a supercharged ls1 only make 300rwkw?
scootbmx01 allthough that car was a bit low, there could be a million reasons why.
The dynotech traditionally is low reading with around 25% losses.
That Clubby later found to have fouled plugs and belt was replaced safe to say makes a lot more power now
Barra shirt ! You guys rock !
Internals should hold out tuff for some bounce but not heaps, good idea to tuff internals rotating with forged for good rb30 dosing actian broom!
only 417kw on the GTS surely that was only on low boost, that thing looked like it had some serious mods
I wish I hadn't sold my two VN SS COMMODORE 👏🔥👋😂🆒🤟💯
Mang mang mang mang poo foo foo foo foo
What these guys need is the salad bowl system
Video should be titled HOLDEN Dyno day......
nhfalcon well it was a holden day after all lol hosted for a holden car club
i love both Holdens and Fords, but, strap a Ford with a Turbo Barra on the dyno, and it beats just about every Holden ! Again, love em or hate em, that Barra is an awesome engine ! :)
Andrew Murray so majority of barras are beating holdens on dynos?

hi sea doo, yes, of course budget has a lot to do with dyno numbers
barras are easy power for a small price they are a marvel of engineering
hi skitz, looks like i started a bit of a debate here, which wasn't the intention, but, hey, i like any awesome car :)
Andrew Murray do you even own a car?
11:18 hell yeah
P plate rig for sure
108kw ftw
Gotta love a Dyno Tech that will bang rev limiter on your car.... it's not rocket science ffs
He must’ve got really good at backing cars onto the dyno by the end of the day
The yellow Ve gts has at 9.38 has the best tune ive seen by the clean torque curve
The car kept going into Limp mode, normally it makes over 600kw.
geez that rotor goes well
I love Australian style :D
Australian School baby 💪🤘
*falcon hell these guys are almost pumping out a half Megawatt of power* 😲
let that sink in for a bit the next time you check your domestic power consumption bill 😨
Commodore commodore commodore commodore commodore commodore commodore commodore commodore commodore
no one you forgot the other commodore
Anthony Flood wouldn't surprise me I stopped watching pretty quick
you forgot to mention they're mostly all automatics too.
Held by the VN SS Club... I wonder why there might be a lot of them there.
Held by the VN SS Club, yep, there might be a few there...
Surprised half of them didn't blow up. Gave them my car to fix and they fucked it up totally. They just bolt shit on and hope for the best.
Simmons EVERYWHERE lol
Allsparks HOLDEN Dyno Day
That red VF GTS-R is 430 odd kw at the flywheel “apparently” but only made 323kw at the Wheels?? I’d be disappointed for that price tag....
An xy gt would make even less power but cost a shit load more, it's not always about the power. Not that you'd ever need to worry, zero chance for you buddy. Stick to your au falcon x taxi
Mad Max
Haha okay mate
I like the ford's
That VK at the end.
lol must feel bad to have a supercharged LS and only make 401hp...my ls1 with cam and bolt ons makes 409 and could make even more with a fast intake and UD pulley
ShadowOfDeath24 surely that was a misprint?? 🤔
ShadowOfDeath24 i bet he has alot more torque then u
Cool story bro
Different dynos, different days. Etc etc
Allthough its still a little low, we dont know the circumstances.
Cool VK
Lol how did that C63 produce less than 400bhp?
+Amar Abbas
How much do they make at the engine?
Australian dynotech dynos usually are low reading, especially compared to the mustang/dynojet in the usa.
280wkw on this dyno is actually about 500hp at the engine. Which is just about spot on.
These numbers are way off no way blown and turboed LS builds are making 400-500 hp
Bahahahahaha, L to the A to the M to the E
Bouncing everything off the limiter, yuck. I would not let this clown run my car. Not the way to do it unless you are trying to kill the internals.
One rev off the limiter won't kill a car unless your engine is a piece of shit I agree he should limiter bounce but with some cats you don't know where the limiter is
Good to know I wasn't the only one getting shitty
@@notbahhhdgoodsize5793 fuck me did either of you two peanuts even look at the graph, he very clearly did it because the car was still making power, evidence of wheel slip
All those holdens, only 2 shoot past 400kw, at 410 and 487
First Barra we see and it tops 422kw
Barra’s really like to shit on holdens
That Vl is my dads check my videos to see more!!
Then you look at the APS duno day and and they reaching 1000hp lol
407 kw in that bombadore with that massive turbo?why bother.
dartanion 007 prob stock LS1. Hard to feed much boost in and timing with that high comp. prob made 180rwkw from factory so 400+ isn’t bad on I assume 98 octane.
willall racing Adelaide.. are fucking good..,.,.,
6:36 hhhmm I wonder who's ceffy that was hehehe
Blake Whitehouse well it’s a homosexual car so I’d imagine it’s someone that laughs like a little girl “hehehe”
BWAAAAAAAA SUUUTUTUTUTU
There was a whole lot of compressed surge in this video
without these clubs supercheap auto would go out of business
holden with a Nissan manifold lol
Rb30 engine that's in vl commodores is a Nissan engine
A lot of those cars had rear mounted turbos
brandon shelton im sure they did
Mexican not Australian
245kw from that clubsport hahahahah what a joke is that all rubbish
The xw only made 264 hp, that's below factory hp
This is power measured at the tyres, would be over 300hp at the crank.
It was a very mild engine.
195wkw on that dyno is something like 260 to 270 flywheel kw, so right in the ballpark of a stocker
Depending on what gearbox/diff most cars lost 15/20% through the driveline
So many people don't understand about parasitic losses. The power figures quoted by manufacturers are always at the flywheel. Wheel hp is significantly less.
11:05 This AMG Benz for instance is rated at 507hp by MB and it makes 385whp on the chassis dyne. That's 24% loss with a modern transmission and diff.
Pretty cool cars , but why do they all have such ugly wheels.
Why all the trash Holden
Those bloody VL's fluttering sound like a gay smurf farting 👎👎
Dissapointing
