Pacific Rim 2. I. Am. So. Happy.
Get a room...everyone. Haha Grace, you're awesome. I really appreciate you voicing your views.
The thought of Jason Statham voting for the Oscars is hilarious (in an awesome kind of way). Glad to see a couple of _Godzilla_ alumni there as well (Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn).
Pacific Rim 2? BOOYAH!
I'm a big fan of Pacific Rim so I was so happy when I heard the news of a sequel! I do like Godzilla but I like Pacific Rim a lot more (I had less issues with Pacific Rim). I would love for both to become big franchises in the US movie market so I hope that Pacific Rim's sequel will be a huge hit!
I loved Pacific Rim despite its flaws (wooden hero primarily).Took me back to the giant robot cartoons and japanese giant robot/monster movies of my childhood. Looking forward to the sequel!
Awesome! First comment! Grace, did you know that on the Ultimate Spiderman cartoon they're going to bring in Miles Morales?!
Am I the only one who prefer Tangled to Frozen?
Hi Grace, I just wanted to let you know that I thought you did a GREAT job answering the viewer question! I couldn't agree more with what you said. Childhood doesn't last forever and kids should enjoy the simpler things of their young lives :)
Loved Pacific Rim. One of the few movies where I smiled through the whole thing or felt nervous for the characters. I was so excited when I heard they were making a second one.
HI grace, I just wanted to thank you for all the hard work. For me it just watching a 20 min video but i can see that you put a lot of hard work into it. Hope you will keep doing these video for a very long time. I can already imagine you with grey hair greeting us with your intro :)
PACIFIC RIM!!!! YES!!!! I will see everything Pacific Rim! Five of my friends also enjoyed it! And we all thought it was the BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR!!!
Was it the only film you seen? it may make to 60 to 70 of 2013
I saw many movies last year but the best movie of the year for Pacific Rim is my opinion and my friends also felt strongly about it as well
That was a good answer to the viewers question. I noticed Disney doesn't promote gay characters like Mulan in Once upon a time. Instead of her telling Aurora (sleeping beauty) her feelings towards her they quickly let Aurora fall for a prince and let Mulan leave on a adventure.
JUST FINISH CRIMSON PEAK ALREADY!
Wohoo Pacific Rim 2! :D I'm so excited about this, I can't wait to see where they will bring the story and characters to next!
Hey Grace! You should review the Dracula Untold trailer! It looks really good to me. I'm Romanian and I like that it seems to be grounded in some actual historical facts about Vlad Dracul. :-)
Glad to see that there will be a Pac Rim 2, even happier that there will be a anime series. Would love to see Guillermo team up with MadHouse for that, they are the Japanese studio behind Black Lagoon, Chobits, Monster and all the Marvel Anime series. 😊
Hi Grace. Even though I like Pacific Rim, this move seems very risky for Legendary. They are trying to deliver fan service (considering how passionate fanboys are about these new Kaiju films) hoping it pays off and gives them more money this time around. However, this has happened before with unsuccessful results; Kick-Ass 2 didn't make enough money, How to Train your Dragon 2 had low attendance during its first weekend. Audiences that show love may seem loyal, but by the end of the day, their impact on the box office isn't as big as mainstream moviegoers. Even this online announcement of Pacific Rim 2 will only reach fanboys, and moviegoers that follow the industry through internet, meanwhile, casual movie goers have no idea that this will happen, and they might even be surprised once the first trailer is released in theaters.
Hey Grace! I work at Hollywood studios and we are going to have real snow and a real ice rink where guests will get to skate for 30 minutes at a time, also the olaf that tells you things is one you can take along with you throughout the park to take photo opportunities with. The procession in will be a carriage led by horses.
My understanding is that a sequel may not only make money for itself but also help the predecessor on the secondary markets and prolong the general lifespan of a movie. So I think Pacific Rim 2 may actually strengthen the original and the Legendary library overall (with a sequel on its way they can package PR1 better).
Grace, Pacific Rim is a Warner Bros. film. Back when the two had a somewhat stable relationship. :)
Disneyland Paris has a toilet? better get my tickets.
Yep, children are not racists, bigots, homophobes, xenophobes. They are thought to hate by their parents and by each of us who want to hate. Please everyone, try to be mindful about this, when talking to children or when children observe you in a parental role. Kids should not be interested in your blind hate. Try to teach them tolerance and you might learn to live a more fulfilling life yourself!
I still have not seen Frozen really my whole family loves it and I could not care about Pacific Rim 2. Damn its friday 2 days with out Grace.
Pacific Rim was ten times better than Godzilla.
No
Question: I was recently having a discussion about Age of Extinction with somebody and they pointed out that one of the reasons they didn't like it was because they gave away a massive money shot in one of the later trailers. I told them I didn't even know because ever since Amazing Spider-Man 2 I stopped watching as much trailers. Obviously with a channel called "Beyond the Trailer" you have to watch all the big major trailers as that is something your viewers want from you. How do you feel about this? Do you ever feel you would have enjoyed a movie more if you weren't required to watch trailers? Do you ever feel some sort of regret?
I very recently started not watching trailers so I haven't totally reaped in all the benefits but it's one of the reasons I'm excited for Episode VII. I'm not watching any trailers aside from the initial teaser and maybe a trailer. I'm not going to lie and say it's easy to avoid trailers, especially when your hype is too overwhelming, but seeing most a movie for the first time is such an awesome experience.
Pacific Rim 2 LAAAME. Why not Justice League Dark?
Good point, Georgina! :) Downloaded your video today - thanks, and nice Wonder Woman decor!
- Grace
Or why not a sequel to "Dredd?"
Movie Math OMG THANKS... COOL! I looked at the video the other day and I look so silly I should off done something special for you. Next time!
WHO YOU CALLING A BITCH? I GOT TO LET YOU KNOW I AM NOT A BITCH OR A HO! Queen Latifa U.N.I.T.Y ... Learn it! Mofoka!
they're having a hard time getting Justice League off the ground as is. It'll probably take them 20 years to do a unknown property such as Justice League Dark. There is a Constantine TV series but I don't think it'll last more than 2 seasons being on NBC instead of CW. They want higher ratings and i don't think it can deliver with such a fringe subject matter. We'll probably see a Teen Titan movie before JLD.
QUESTION!!!! question!!!! Hope you pick this!!! Hey, Grace, love the show. I watch it everyday and love how you keep us so informed. Great Job! Lately on the show you have talked about how actors trying to move out of television into movies struggle either from their television look or maybe they are too famous on television to make the jump. For the movie This Is Where I Leave You you said it looked very TV because of Tina Fey and other of the actors in the movie, meaning this could hurt it. Also, actors risk a lot moving from television into movies. Dan Stevens from Downton Abbey took the risk of leaving the show hoping to make it big in movies and seems to have been struggling at first though now he has A Walk Among the Tombstones and The Guest. My question is, is being an actor on television possibly poisoning your career if you desire to move into movies, and can actors make the transition well (Examples if possible)? I hope you pick this? Again, great job! Thanks
PACIFIC RIM was like the greatest movie ever!!!! And now that China is such a big box office draw and only getting bigger, it's smart financially to make it happen.
Including Grace, always looking forward to anther swipe at the Frozen franchise. Lol ; )
Just went to Disneyland Paris a few weeks ago... AMAZING!!!!!! But i wouldn't call the Toy Story part a land, It was more like a play park with a few rides.
*QUESTION:* First of all, I'm thrilled by the announcement of _Pacific Rim 2_! I will follow the animation and comic as well, and I hardly ever do that! I'm just that big of a kaiju fan. Anyways, you pointed out how _PR_ made most of its money overseas. How much of this do you attribute to the message and themes of the movie, as opposed to the visuals? The Godzilla DNA that made its way into _PR_ isn't just limited to the visuals. Much of it comes from the late Ishiro Honda, the first and best Godzilla director. A big part of his sci-fi output includes the message that all the nations of the world must come together and co-operate to face overwhelming threats. Do you think themes like this are a big contributor to overseas success, or do foreign audiences just want to see big movies with lots of SPFX? What's the ideal mix in your opinion? Thanks! (P.S. Guillermo Del Toro is one of a handful of people [Arnold Schwarzenegger being another] whose voice I hear in my head whenever I read a quote of theirs, just I like now hear yours whenever I type a question I hope you'll address. Is that weird?)
I loved Pacific Rim!
Huh? I always thought that once you SAG card or the equivalent (director, cinematographer, etc.) you are automatically part of the academy.
Love this new channel Grace Great Job!
I have a question! Do you think Disney has already hit their peak with this new "revival era" with Frozen, lets face it Lion King was the peak for the "Renaissance era" and I think Big Hero 6 won't nearly pull in the numbers as frozen, just like Pocahontas did after the Lion King. I'm just bringing this up because i feel like the current line of upcoming Disney Animation movies won't keep Disney on top especially with stiff competition like How to Train Your Dragon. The only light i see at the end of the tunnel is Mona! I just wanted to hear your opinion because your usually on point!
Thanks Again!
And Keep Doing A Superb Job On 3 Channels!
***** Disney's Giant is still up in the air. Thats not confirmed yet. And yes while Big Hero 6 might do well with comic book fans, but that doesn't make up a lot of Disney's fan base.
The peak of the 'Disney Renaissance' was NOT 'The Lion King', it was 'Beauty and the Beast.' Also, in my opinion, I stand firm with the belief that 'Big Hero 6' won't rise to success and become such a phenomenon, unlike 'Frozen' which, I think we can all agree, did. I think that 'Frozen' was really lucky to be so successful, but as I said, "lucky." That's probably the reason why Disney can't really understand why it is such a huge success, because it was a 'one-time thing', and don't get me wrong, the film was phenomenal, but I just think the overwhelming success was a lucky hit. I doubt 'Big Hero 6' will gross as much as 'Frozen' and definitely not as much critical success as it did. However, we have to not just compare it to 'Frozen', but arguably Disney's two biggest film(s) EVER produced; 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'The Lion King.' They deserved the success and attention, but like already mentioned, 'Frozen' was just lucky. Although, I still think I will throughly enjoy 'Big Hero 6' in November, and have fun watching it. Probably not as much ad 'Frozen', but still, I'm 100% sure I'll really enjoy it.
Grace are you aware that Avatar: The Legend of Korra has premiered with 3 episodes already. Sounds like a great segment for morning movie news to me. Keep up the great work btw. Love the new channel additions to the BTT Universe.
There was a lesbian couple in Disney's Good Luck Charlie
It was on one of the last episodes, they were the mothers of a friend of Charlie
***** which I think it's a good thing, LGBT characters should be portrayed equally as straight characters
RobsReviews thanks right. and u also have to remember that Disney is going at this slow. if they just start putting all that in, some parents who are more against that sort of thing will leave Disney, so Disney just wants to take it slowly. give Disney time mkpunk. they will start doing it more ad more as long as the market still keeps seeing it
exactly. they did a good job warming up to this. but they also need to remember that they need to grow slowly at it.
To be honest all I want is a theme park full of How to Train Your Dragon..... (seems like that might be part of the indoor Dreamworks thing mentioned?)
Question Grace, any thoughts on Snowpiercer? It seems to have come out of nowhere and I only know about it from reading the review in the NY Times. Its got Captain America (Chris Evans) and Tilda Swinton and seems kind of genrey. Watch you everyday and so cool you now have your own universe of channles. :)
Pacific Rim 2!!!!!!!!!! I love it
Frozen food doesn't really perk my interest. I have that every night in my studio apartment. :-P
Is there going to be a korra review? the new episodes were good. :)
Good stuff.
Question :Hey Grace! as i start to see a trend for well known anime to be turn in to a movie like All you need is kill and Death note , i was wondering why Hollywood seems to turn back to the anime that take up anime community eastern and western by storm like Attack on titan , and Fate zero , both shows future a mixed race and gender cast with strong female and male leads with different philosophies and ages , why is properties so well balanced with already proven stories and very vocal and large fan base , seems to move unnoticed by the Hollywood studios? (ps. Fate zero is historical/ fairy tale themed so it goes pretty well with now a days trends)
, greetings from Bulgaria /east europe/ :]
I'd love to see a Wes Anderson Land :)
9th grade?! Hahaha that's insane. My 1st girlfriend was back in 4th grade.
Grace is there any chance you can do a trailer review for A Most Wanted Man staring Philip Seymour Hoffman? I seen it at the edinburgh film festival. Hoffman truly gives an Oscar worthy performance. and yeah i love Philip Seymour Hoffman
I'm not a hater of Disney or theme parks, I happen to own an annual pass myself to a theme park, but as far as the first news go shouldn't that have been on the BTT Disney channel or is that channel just disney related videos while the news remains here?
Hi Grace! QUESTION!! I was recently working on a screenplay for a class project and decided to look up an official script from a feature film to take a look at some formatting I was unsure about. I landed on the Frozen screenplay, and the first thing I noticed was that on the cover page it said "Final Shooting Draft 9/23/13". I know you have mentioned that the revising process on the film was very close to the release date, but I was shocked to see the script was still being edited just two months before release!! Recently, there have been a few stories involving shifting release dates (Jupiter Ascending, Penguins of Madagascar switching with Home) so I'm wondering what the process is for making such drastic decisions. Is it one person or a collective amount of people (studio heads, the director/producers etc.)?? I personally think that Frozen was a good movie but if it had been pushed back and given that time to become more fully realized it would have been phenomenal. Thanks :D sorry this was so long! -Travis
I'm not sure if I heard this wrong but apparently they are considering changing blizzard beach to something frozen based, not sure though could just be a rumour.
Those were great news for FROZEN fans. Sadly I cant go to Hollywood Studios this time of the year. SNiff sniff
Hi Grace! Long time viewer, first time questioner. I love watching your show on the way home from school everyday. I hope you can answer this time. So here it is:
QUESTION: You've said several times on the show that the quality of comic books is going downhill (looking at you, New 52😳), and that you've gone digital. My question is, 1) What comics ARE you reading right now?, and 2) How long do you think it will take until comic books become obsolete? Marvel doesn't seem to be interested in anything but their movie properties, and with supposedly three movies a year from DC, it seems the movie adaptations of comics are outnumbering the books themselves. Thanks!
👍😜😃😃😃😜👍
-Ruby
Pacific Rim was a Warner Brothers movie
One major correction, Grace. Not all parents adopt from the kindness of their heart. That's a bit too much of pinkness in one's glasses. There are so many, SO MANY adoptive families out there who abuse their children in a lot of different ways.
Agreed, this has little to do with LGBT parenting or any other major topic of the viewer question, but I needed to point that out.
In my opinion: If you're old enough to save the world, you're old enough to have a girlfriend.
Hey Grace! I am such a big fan of your show, and watch it every day when I get home from class. I have a question today that deals with the Oscars. From what I've seen, many pictures nominated for Best Picture, and many other categories, seem to be locks for nominations/wins before the movie is even released due to the talent in front of and behind the camera, such as American Hustle last year. Unbroken already has more Oscar buzz than any movie this year, and it doesn't come out for another 6 months. In my opinion, I believe the winner is essentially decided months before voting begins, just due to the buzz a movie has. I remember reading last year that many voters voted for 12 Years without even seeing it. My question is, do you think that a dark horse movie ever really has a chance to win, or that it is all down to buzz and politics. I guess The Artist could fall into this category, but maybe that was just a fluke? I would love your insight. Thanks for answering, Jason.
Hi grace I know u don't take questions from RUclips but I REALLY HOPE u see this basically u make me feel very happy all the time even though I am at a dark point in my life but any way u just made me cry with the point u made of gay and mixed race couples in animation and movies so here is my question not many studios r prepared to go to the gay couple area but why do u think not many studios believe in gay marriage do they think it's wrong? And also ( unrelated) what is your top 5 movies of 2014 so far
~ and thanks grace for always being a light at the end of a tunnel;) ;)
QUESTION: Hi, Grace! I have noticed that movie budgets for blockbuster films have been growing exponentially for years now. I personally started to notice this back in 2007 with Spider-Man 3 ($250-260 million) & Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End ($300 million). Neither recouped much back at the box office. However, film studios such as Lionsgate/Summit Entertainment have proven with The Hunger Games films you can be highly successful with low budgets. For example, the first Hunger Games film was made for roughly $80 million, but earned over $400 million domestically. Why aren’t studios trying to cut down film budgets in order to make their films more profitable? Or are they just using the films to some degree as a feature-length commercial to sell more franchise related products?
P.S. I love the show and the new changes. I’ve been watching BTT for so long now, I forget when I started (I think back in the IndyMogul days). Keep up the great work you’re doing. :)
no love for the PDA Grace lol
are you going to do a trailer review for dracula untold
Movie theater owners have told me that they get only 1/3 of the box office money not half. That is from AMC, Almamo, and Marcus theaters.
Question . Grace , did you hear the rumors that Nathan Fillion is playing Cosmo? The telepathic dog alien whatever. Too bad if that's true, Nathan would be better used as something more useful.
There are to many characters in tv/movies that are gay to just be the gay character. Or to show that they are "accepting" of gay people. I would like to see a hero/ main character who just happened to be gay.
Grace,I have asked many questions but you have not answered them :(.But I will ask one more...Why is Frozen the big movie and why not Wreck-it Ralph or Tangled?
I'm guessing your located in California, because your Morning Movie News aren't really in the morning for me. I live in suburban Philadelphia, and when these are posted, its 3:00 in the afternoon.
Grace does not filmed this live. its pre recorded then post at a later time during the day. Morning Movie News is from Manhattan, New York.
I hate it when people try to mask homophobia with prudishness, they're almost never bothered by straight PDA and parents will think its cute when there kids have little "boyfriends/girlfriends". Most children's movies especially ones promoted for girls will at least allude to attractions to the opposite sex. What was Gnomeo and Juliet? Are cartoon Shakespeare adaptations inappropriate for children even though they're described as "great for the kids"? Trying to look fair by saying your rules apply to everyone when they don't just makes one group of people taboo and subject to "age appropriateness"? A relationship can be romantic without being overtly sexual but gay relationships end up being seen as exclusively sexual. I knew I was gay from the age of 7 and felt the loneliness and persecution that go along with that through high school. People harass you or throw things at you or beat you up because they don't see positive representations of people like you and you become less real to them and subhuman. Sort of a question but more of a point. I very much like your show and appreciate the rest of your comments and general allyship on this subject so don't think I'm calling you a homophobe we're all just just imprinted with certain cultural perceptions which are design to benefit certain people over others and LGBTQ folks often fit into that others category.
I think it's stupid how some individuals assume same sex relationships are more sexual and not romantic or go through the same motions or trials as opposite sex relationships
Godzilla always
Hey Grace! Love the show!
QUESTION: I just finished reading The Maze Runner and was excited to hear that the movie was coming out in September. But after looking online, all I could find was one trailer and a couple of posters. When do you think the marketing for this movie will actually start happening? The Giver, which comes out a month earlier, already has lots of trailers and posters and I've recently seen TV spots for it. Does the studio not feel confident in the material and/or product? I've also noticed this with the next Hobbit installment and Into the Woods. How do studios decide when to start marketing a movie with trailers and posters? Are there special movies or events they wait for?
Thanks a ton! 😀😀
-Kyle
Question grace! With China's success and power not only in the movie industry but in real life as well, do you think Hollywood will be taking notes and might finally make more international friendly films? I think transformers age of extinction was a huge step forward as it wasn't all about America this time. Having large studios embrace and capitalize on this international movie feel would be great as it gives movie goers the Opportunity to travel around the world in the comfort of your local theatre. Maybe even a live action Mulan would be awesome? Anyway, love your show Grace and thank you very much! :D
Is there any movie guilds where anyone can join
I'm glad "Pacific Rim" is getting a sequel only because "Grown ups 2" made more money at the box office. Ugh. If Adam Sandler can make money, stupid robots vs monsters movie should make even more. Go, Guillermo del Toro!
Pacific rim uprising
Pacific rim anime coming on Netflix in 2020
So, can academy members vote for their own works? How are invitees chosen; I thought I read award winners and nominees were automatically invited, correct?
P.S. You hide your weariness well! :-)
Question Grace
Love your shows and can't wait to see you keep getting bigger. I love to here your opinion on films and but I am just a little beep of not at you but what studios are behind Philip Seymour Hoffmans last 2 movies A Most Wanted Man which im sure comes out july 25 and Gods Pocket released May 9. How is it that one of the truly get actors of the last 20 years. cant get his movie seen by more people in his death? I am aware that he was never a household name but I can't be the only one who cares. We do have the last 2 Hunger Games.have you even heard of them Grace? He has so many hiden gems if ony more people had seen Synechode New York, Love Liza, BTDKYD,Owning Mahowy, A Late Quart, The Savages among othersand do people even realise how outstanding he is in The Master RIP PSH
Im 17 from UK
Keep on doing what your doing Grace :D
I'm not sure why you're still so hard on Frozen. How were they supposed to be "prepared" for its success? The Wizarding World of Harry Potter wasn't set up immediately in preparation for the success of that franchise. And nothing was really set up on the hunch that most of the Disney Renaissance films would succeed. Disney isn't really in the business of in theater sequels.
regarding the viewer question: i would argue there isnt a lot of representation in adult films and tv shows as well. for instance in the 6 seasons of sex and the city only two of the characters had interracial relationships once each; big bang theory hints at but will never follow through with homosexual nature of raj; then we have movies that are all white cast or all black cast continuing the separation. though i think it should be shown because so many people in the country are homophobic and racist studios wont take that risk. look at all the drama glee gets and its a high school show on fox, could you image the outrage if there was a new disney show where one of the maincast was gay?
there is a fairly new show called labrats that follows a blended interracial family, i was SHOCKED when i saw that but in a good way. its something definitely didnt expect to see on disney and not in my lifetime so who knows where we will be in say 10-20 years?
QUESTION: Hi Grace, I have a question for you. With critics, audiences and the box office liking Pacific Rim better than Godzilla, do you think that this sequel could be the favored by the public more than a Godzilla sequel. Which one do you think legendary should put more focus on? And finally, as a more fun part of the question, where do you think the Pacific Rim sequel should go? Thank you
P.S. Love the show and all the info you provide, although we differ opinions sometimes I like to see a different perspective. Hi From London, I just moved from Guatemala :)
Loved Godzilla more personally but you have a great point. But the budget and lack of buzz really hurt Pacific Rim. It totals Godzilla's box office results but with 40 million more to fight. Overall I find this extremely odd, but a pleasant surprise.
I see where you're coming from, but I liked Pacific Rim better. There's some kind of flare in it that I feel Godzilla lacked, but I still liked it. I hope both sequels are good and do good at the box office.
This is why I love legendary so much. They cater to the fans more than any other studio
I have a viewer question for you Grace.
Hope you answer as soon as you can.
Of course it is obvious with the release of Transformers Age of Extinction this week, it is clear that though those movies have their fans, they also have their haters. People tend to despise elements that Michael Bay added in his Transformers movies, so I was wondering, do you think it would be a smart decision if they decide to REBOOT the franchise entirely or at least replace Michael Bay in the director chair? And if so/or even if not, who would you like to see direct and write a Transformers movie?
I personally think that I would like to see a different director take a shot at a Transformers movie because I'm sure even the fans of Bay's movies can kind of admit that a different director could make a better movie about Optimus Prime and the other robots. I personally would like to see Chris Miller and Phil Lord, Brad Bird or Edgar Wright to make a Transformers movie because I feel they have been on a solid track record for consistently making good movies. Definitely more than Bay has in my opinion.
Hope you respond to this question as soon as possible and thanks for all the great content from Beyond the Trailer.
Grace Randolph QUESTION ! I know we don't discuss speculation much, but I was wondering how you thought Disney should continue the Frozen Brand. I can see why Disney has been apprehensive about a direct sequel since they've never done that with such an important property before. I would say Direct to video sequels or a TV series like the Little Mermaid or Aladdin, but I feel like the quality in these modern times won't be up to standard. Maybe a tightly written Netflix series? A spin off with Olaf or Hans? Or is continuing the Princess brand with Giants and Moana good enough ? Thank you and Love the show :D
I would just like to add separately that I don't think a direct sequel would work for Frozen because Disney animation studio films are always made to have a timeless quality to them. Not only are the stories simple and appreciable by every generation but the characters themselves have a timeless quality. Unlike toys or cars, these character will need to grow and there lifestyles will need to change for the series to be respected and I'm not sure that is what's best for the property.
Will there be frozen 2????????
Can we please not have anymore Frozen stories
QUESTION
Hey grace, can you please please please cover the story about how North Korea is very anti- the interview (Seth Rogen- James Franco) PLEASE!!! 😀😃😃
Sincerely Bennett
I think parents need to have the sex talk with kids as young as 12. there has been studies that show kids are hitting puberty at an earlier age in the US and they need guidance. Tt's better to explain it to them in a adult manner than have them find out on their own on the internet. Kids these days are smart they have access to much more information than we did growing up in the 80s, 90s. If parents aren't there to explain it to them they'll learn on their own and sometimes won't have good results
I love this channel but I have to be honest I am getting so sick of hearing about Frozen, I didn't mind the film, I quite enjoyed it but seriously hearing about it on morning movie news is getting boring and I think its a little strange how you said you didn't like Frozen and yet its always a topic on the show and you reference it quite regularly. I thought that you would save all your Disney news for your new channel but oh well. keep up the good work Grace and again love the channel :-)
Where is yest. And today MMN
It's mind boggling how the director of the brilliant "Pan's Labyrinth" helmed such a horrid film like "Pacific Rubbish" (and to an extent, the Hellboy films).
Not necessarily looking forward to part 2 of del Toro's robot film.
I loved it :D It didn't really get all that many bad reviews either, most people (like me) found it really awesome :D
Peter Aguilar Of course, it's my opinion. Just like you're giving me _your_ opinion.
Pers Godiva Yeah, many reviews said it was a 'dumb popcorn film.'
I just thought it was dumb. However, like any film...it does have it's fans.
joel1975 Which reviews are you referring? Because most I read/watched were positive. And as far as I noticed online, it does have a huge fanbase :D
joel1975 I'm referring to schmoesknow and whattheflick and possibly Jeremy Jahns.
I like Godzilla just fine as kid and was interested until the cast was announced and I decided to miss this latest version. As for Pacific Rim, I saw it and overall enjoyed it, but wonder where they will go with it considering the ending of the last film.
I tend to agree that dating and romance should be left out of content for young kids, because if you only show same race and opposite sex couple that could seen implying that is normal while mixed race or same sex couples are not.
I tend to not like romance period, feeling it has hurt many movies and series by adding yet another storyline to a crowded production or by being tritely melodramatic. Thor and Jane Foster or any of the romance on Young Justice.
Very True! I'm also not a fan of sappy romance storylines, for the sake of the female viewers. Like most if not all the Marvel, DC films being made today. & a lot of action films for guys have romantic love interests which is annoying.
Personally i have no issues with romance i mean what are the age ranges of disney movies. most dieny movies include some romnce. and yess it should be inconclusive. but as far as hiding things from chidren that is more harmefull to them in the long run. and leaving it up to the parents is the best way to make sure prejudices continue.
This annoys me. Why do you keep talking about frozen? I thought this channel was about other things, not disney.
I AM SO SICK OF FROZEN
Tell me about it. Its only popular cause its a princess story for females.
I don't think homosexual relationships should be portrayed in kids tv. it is fine for adult tv, but having it in kids shows might lead them to think "so and so is gay, so i must be gay." People who are legitimately gay have evry right to be so, but kids are too young to think about stuff like that.
But straight relationships are okay?
Lucky you, that would be the perfect opportunity to tell your kid that he/she can't chose to be gay, that you are either born that way or not.
Don't put your doubts and fears on other people - a kid who has gay parents would surely love to see their kind of family on TV too.
So hetero sexual couple should be eather, or bad guy, because kids might want to be like them. Or maybe you shouldn't have black kids of series watched by white kids because that might make them want to change there skin color!
It is not possible to change skin color. But littlew kids do not know what is normal and right, and while there is nothing wrong with being gay, its not exactly something that should be promoted to young kids.
William Ackerman Saying "it exist and it's normal" is not promoting it.
i have almost no interest in a pacific rim sequel. The first film had great action but unnecessary human elements (which sadly plague all monster/robot films).
I'm fine with taken in inflation account. It's the most honest answer since ticket prices have gone up and so you don't have to see any many tickets to make the same amount of money. Really it could be the amount of ticket sold to know how well a movie is doing.
cant get behind clark greg. hated him on the new adventures of old christine and everytime i see him i feel like he's doing the same character and comes off as annoying. i dont mind coulson in the comics especially with nick fury jr. but when clark greg comes on the screen i lose interest
I like Pacific Rim but not really a lot. Godzilla was a fucking scam. So, when the sequels come, probably won't care...
The Action scenes is the only good part about Pac Rim.
Am I the only one who's getting really tired of those crowbared stupid frozen news?
I have a gay grand-father, never disterbed me as a kid. I had to be 10 to start understanding that what I thought was just grandpa living with another man was not normal. Maybe TV should start with introducing gay parents before gay romances. Just make one of the kids in the show go back home to two moms or two dads.
