    I am quite optimistic about how Martin will perform on the Aprilia, lets hope he will be like Rossi on the Yamaha.🤞

      I mean aprillia obviously have the speed, they arent copying ducatti like ktm/honda so could beat them its traction control, launch device, ride height devices that ducatti do better. Aero on aprillia prolly better its just gadgets that they need to compete. Electronics tuned around the michelin tires

    Kenny Roberts snr once said as he started his 500 go career in reply to Barry Sheen's goading " when the start flag drops the Bull sh1t stops" no-one will really know what's what until the first meeting is over the winners are standing on the rostrum.

    Hi Mac, saw an interview with Maverick and said he was soo disappointed with the second half of last season and the worse part was that no matter what they tried it just wouldn't work like the first half of the season.

      Nice to know! But what placing will Jorge Martin get 🤔??!? Jorge Martin needs to get 1st place at least 10 to 12 times ⏲️ in 2025 to say it was worth leaving Ducati for Aprilia. If this was Valentino Rossi making a move like this, I would say yes and have so much more confidence. Rossi skill level was super high!!! Jorge Martin, I just don't know? He is a determined rider who pushes very hard, but as far as skill measurements go, Jorge Martin doesn't have it. Especially when it comes to being compared to Pecco Bagnaia . . . . .

    He is happy , that’s half the battle , no doubt he is something special , he’s got focus and determination , I’ve no doubt he’ll be their or their about’s , MotoGP needs a clear out of riders who are never going to win a racer or challenge for podiums , riders who’ve been there for years and achieved next to nothing ! Maverick is just to inconsistent , on pole and ends up 10th by the first corner , you’ve got to be an all rounder and fast from the off ! 👍👍🏍🏍

    • @gbone7581
      @gbone7581 Месяц назад +2

      The problem with clearing out the riders that are never going to win is that there are only a handful of riders in the world that can win in MotoGP much like the Tour de France cycle race.

    Hopefully they can give him the power to fight Ducati the aprilia looks to handle very well especially in the faster corners I think Martin will be a contender for the championship no doubt

    Like with BMW in WSBK before Toprak, I feel like Aprilia has a lot of potential to unlock but I will just have to wait and see. As much as I would want to see MM win the championship and I would love to see Honda back taking podiums, I keep expecting to see more from Aprila and I havent yet. Over last 3 years I expected for them to come out and shock everyone. Then again I also keep expecting to see Honda back to being competitive and that hasn't happened.

    realisticly i think he will finish the 25 season in 4-8 place... i just dont see the aprilia even with martin on it beeing at the top fron pack during the races , even tough i wish so .... but its just IMO so we will see, maybe the next season will suprise us all ;D

    I think the great thing with Martin is that next year we will 💯 know if they have a bike to rival Ducati. Jorge will not be leaving anything for debate on that topic. It was a good signing.
    EDIT: Can we be honest and say that if Marc rode out his contract with Honda and signed for Aprilia next year, suddenly the wins by Mav MUST mean it’s easy work for 93 to be WC.

  • @thetonetosser
    @thetonetosser Месяц назад +2

    Regardless of him winning the title, he was the best of the rest as far as Ducati was concerned. If the bike has improved, I still don't see him being a threat to Peco, Marc or Diggia in 25. Once he gets up to speed with the bike, qualifying will be his strong point. But I suspect he'll lose race positions fairly quickly. Could be the only championship he'll ever have too because there is so much talent coming up through the lower ranks and even FIM Jr GP.

    • @connorodcod
      @connorodcod Месяц назад +4

      Best of the rest? He won the title on a satellite team. The whole point of the title, is to establish who’s the best

      “Regardless of him winning the title, he was the best of the rest as far as Ducati were concerned”
      Rather an oxymoronic statement if I’ve ever heard one.
      As the other guy said.. you cannot be crowned Word Champion and be the “best of the rest” - Fact!
      Ducati plain and simply buckled under Marquez’s power play with another satellite team not being an option.

    • @thetonetosser
      @thetonetosser Месяц назад

      @@svenhollis-lifts I'm am neither disputing his talent nor his effort in winning the title. The fact is, by Mugello he had already been overlooked (again) by the best team in the paddock. Ducati believe they now have the two best riders in the championship. And they probably do. Peco won 11 GP's and Marc had 10 x more podiums than the other GP23 riders. See what I mean?

  • @Unamatrix01
    @Unamatrix01 Месяц назад

    I think his comments are premature.Considering that there is also an engine freeze in effect until the new 2027 regulations are implemented. This was also the end of season test and not the IRTA tests in February that would allow a more precise analysis of the competition.From an engineering perspective,Aprilia’s performance deficit to Ducati places them at a further time disadvantage as the new regulations rapidly approach.Ducati can start working on their GP27 bike earlier than their competition.For the 2025 MotoGP season,the best bike will be the Ducati GP25 and the second best bike will be the Ducati GP24 as for the third best best bike that will be between KTM and Aprillia.Unfortunately Honda and Yamaha are so far behind that they would require exponential improvements to even contend for podium positions throughout the season.

    I hope he was just re-stating something someone within the teams management had said when he said " Aprilia feels the pressure to perforrm with a world champion on the team". That kind of language sounds like ego posturing to me. While its true for sure I just fear his ego, as did Ducati, becoming a stumbling block. Aprila dont need another Maverick on the team always saying , when the bike is right for me, I will win. They need positivity and sound judgement as well as his tremendous skill to push the bike to the top.

      @lesterburnham509 as a Fabio fan, let's be honest, he only won in 21 because Bagnaia an Ducati fumbled hard, and when he had an ungodly lead in 22 and Ducati sorted out their bike and Bagnaia stopped fumbling they made the mother and father of all comebacks, Mir only won cause everyone was a joke in 20.
      Yamaha with a V4 won't solve their issues, Honda has a V4 and their issues are the same as Yamaha. Do I wish a Fabio V Pecco 2.0? Yes absolutely, but unless the Yamaha becomes a Ducati....no way anyone will lay a finger on Ducati
