The jewelry crafts are SOOOO pretty!!! I love those! And the stars are ADORABLE! I think i could make those, they look pretty simple and I have so much christmas paper! Gonna give it a try!
It doesn't need to be perfect, they are really cute. I think paper can sometimes be harder to work with then fabric. I have some fabric squares and will give this a try.
Put your button in the middle. But before you do that, glue your star together and then come back with a fine point marker permanent marker and make your stitch lines and then put your button in the middle. I would sew the button to make it look like it was sewn by itself. You wouldn't have to sew it to the star, but so the button to make it look like it was so none and then glue it on and it will look awesome.

Love the stars! If you have double sided patterned paper, that would solve the problem of seeing cut edges.
