It is really cool seeing people play Cortex Prime for the first time. I have played many many RPGs, but something about CP makes it stick out quite a lot; the core mechanic itself is unique. I usually have a list of different systems I reach for, for different settings or tones, but I am finding myself reaching for Cortex Prime more and more as it fulfills almost all of my game ideas. The primary game I think it doesn't really touch is the "Dungeon Delve"/"Tactical Combat" type of game. Side Note: I think your Google Sheet implementation looked great!
Thanks for the feedback! Yes, that core mechanic feels really elegant and expressive. I gave up looking for the single perfect system a while ago. It's been quite refreshing, actually. Instead, I can evaluate each system based on what it adds to my experience. And I enjoy running a bunch of different systems, spanning old-school / traditional to story games. But Cortex Prime feels like a great default option for realizing new ideas. I'd probably go with a different system for traditional dungeon delves or tactical combat, too.
I had a great time in your Cortex Prime game. I really liked my PC. It would be fun to explore that PC more. See him develop from a young sailor to a hardened pirate. I also want to figure out what happened on that island. Great stuff!

This was incredibly helpful, thank you!!
Thanks, glad to hear this was useful!
Nice breakdown, DH. You packed a lot into a short video, and have inspired me to take another run at Prime myself.
Thanks, glad to hear! And here I thought my video would inspire you to run 5e... ;)
@@DigitalHobbitRPG You know me better than that!
Looking forward to seeing the Cortex build you come up with.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! I'll definitely ping you if I run it again. I want to explore that setting more myself as well.
