Artists have the right and the duty to stand up against everything that goes wrong. Especially when freedom, the truth and the future of the next generation is in danger. Think of Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against The Machine, Radiohead, Muse, System of a Down, the whole blues-, rap- or the punk-scene. They all have political messages. Musicians are mostly left, because they visited the world, talked and worked with many different people and they know we are all one mankind. Its hard to get that when you don't leave your village. But the dictators always hate music with a message. In every dictatorship political music is banned because of its power to unite people.

As a conservative and Trump supporter I do not agree with these lyrics. I do like the sound though. This was recorded before Trump started really doing well and the Democrats shot themselves in the foot repeatedly so it's understandable
Pretty sure the band hates the president's xenophobic, misogynistic, racist, anti-lgbt, nationalist ideals. And complete disregard for the environment. And the fact that he eats so much damn meat it's disgusting.
People protest what they find repugnant. And this man is despicable to them and many other people. There is a long history of protest music against presidents and governments, and this just follows in that vein.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the lyrics either, but I'm also not an extremist conservative (even though a lot of the opposition seem to think it's not possible to be a conservative and not radical) so I do understand and see merit in a lot of the points, and I like the song. I'm also not the biggest fan of Trump.
