I remember have read somwhere that initially laguna was suposed to be the main character of FFVIII but in the end square decided on Squall because they expected that a younger hero would have more in comom with the playerbase.

"The Man With The Machine Gun" is to be one of hypest battle themes ever.
Loved the remix, great job! Captured the essence of the song while adding more depth to it.
Problem is, it strongly resembles a certain US TV show theme. If they try to re-use it, they'll get SWATted by the copyright police.

@@Zero-rq9ti As a huge DMC fan personally I think nothing touches how good the combat feels. However, FFVII remake isn't trying to do that. It's trying to blend real-time and turn-based combat and by the looks of things, I think they have nailed it.
Fantastic remake! One of the best .FFVIII only played it 10 times to the end and beat the final Boss then got the rewards-movie ending.
I didn't know I wanted a sweet rave party in my final fantasy until I heard this.

A wonderful theme for a wonderful character. I already really liked Laguna because he's a likeable character, and because he has a sub-machine gun, which I learned after I found my favorite FFVIII theme. I'm surprised this is only at 11k likes after five years.

Wow you should make a mod out of these soundtracks for the steam version of FF8. I'd definitely BUY it. I've been replaying ff8 to celebrate the 20 year anniversary. I have a soundtrack overhaul installed, an improvement from the original tracks but they are more orchestral, they are great but i think your tracks sound superior. Would be great to listen to these tracks in game
