Recently I had to send in my Fluke 190-204 scope meter (4CH, 200MHz per channel) in to Fluke for repair. Repair cost is $1050 Canadian (about $810 US) flat rate, irrespective of what they find or how long it will take them to repair it. Out of curiosity, I started checking out the competition to see where other makes are at these days and this is what I can say regarding the huge price disparity when comparing companies like Fluke or Rohde & Schwarz (Europe) with Chinese knock-offs: There is no doubt that you can get some cool features in these cheaper scopes but you also have to understand their target audiences. Fluke and Rohde & Schwarz are building for serious lab and industrial clients in markets where liability is high and so are the demands for quality and reliability, so they are well built instruments using high quality components, including robust probes, where safety is critical. None of the Chinese knock-offs from companies like Hantek or Siglent match the category ratings of either of the aforementioned scopes. Fluke for example is CAT IV at 600V and CAT III at 1kV. The highest I've seen on the Chinese brands is CAT III at 600V and you have to watch it because some only have a 150V peak input instead of 300V. This is disconcerting because they also come with switchable 1:1 or 10:1 probes, so if you forget to switch to 10:1 on your probe and then go across household voltage at 230Vac, you've now over-voltaged your scope input (depending on the model). This says nothing about the inferior quality of the probes as mentioned in this video. If they've short changed the buyer on the probes, where else I wonder have they cheaped out at the expense of safety? Do they even come with UL or CSA certification and can they be purchased through an actual store in North America or only through Amazon or Alibaba? Fluke did extreme tests for dust, oil, and water penetration and built a sealed scope that was also drop tested. They also used special design techniques to physically separate the PC tracks between all isolated inputs (and each channel is fully isolated from the other so commons can be at different potentials, something not readily available until you're at least at the $1k+ level with the other scopes, and then again, at a lower safety rating). So if you're working in a nice, safe lab environment, in automotive, or buying these on a budget for some school, or just a hobbyist where 230Vac is the worse case voltage encountered, then go for the Chinese makes. But if you're life depends on having a piece of hardware that isn't going to blow up in your face when you're testing a 20kW or higher motor drive at 600Vac in some industrial setting, then think twice. I understand that a price differential of between five and ten to one is extremely tempting, but there is truly a level of comfort when dealing with a company based either in North America or Europe who fall under closer legal scrutiny in ensuring that their products are safe for use on high power systems. There's a reason why professionals are slow to pick up these cheaper scopes but for low energy work, I'm sure I'd consider them too. After all, you could get 5 high end Hanteks for the price of one Fluke 190-204, but with the Fluke, you're also getting 4 channels vs 2 max and usually to a higher frequency, so you get what you pay for.
Thats the thing, I dont disbelieve you, but my poor ol Fluke was a doorstop for YEARS, when something fell on the screen, despite the tough exterior - and the new color ones are 'Telephone Number' prices :) At THESE prices theyre a less expensive asset you can take into the field
the old saying that you only get what you pay for, doesn't hold water all the time, just because you pay top Dollar, won't mean that you'll get glittering gold !! DSO1102E , it is very similar to this one there is other ones that have Spectrum analyzers built-in them they cost like $100 and fifty bucks more. But this is the model that can a rugged case runs all day on the battery.

@@RaptorRotorHead I just received yesterday the 2C42 in the mail. Reads like I can upgrade/hack the firmware to make into the more expensive auto version also. Need to still read into the manual and install the software. I don't own a Fluke, though do have some bench scopes.
These commercial Chinese brands have come a very long way with digital scopes, e.g. Hantek, Rigol, Owon. I noticed the same with my Rigol, extremely accurate and a tonne of functions for only 400€. The only lesser thing so far, it only has 1GSa/s @ 50MHz and chops it up according to how many channels you're using and they are not isolated. However, for only €400 giving you 4 channels, I definitely can't complain.
Ah nice! Becareful, probe ground channels are not isolated!! If you probe a MOSFET Drain-Source and Signal-Ground to see if they correspond, you WILL blow up your scope. Hantek, make pretty good stuff I have one of their pc type scopes and it functions very well (6022B) I think. Only cost about $80 AUD. 20 MHz, no ac coupling but it does the job.. Good video, Thanks.
I'm very impressed with Hantek's products. I use their 1008C PC based scope for automotive diagnostics. It has a 12bit vehicle resolution at only $120 and has plenty enough sampling rate and bandwidth for slower automotive signals. The only thing it suffers on is serial data like CAN bus captures. But overall I'm very impressed and it has bailed me out many time when faced with complexed diagnostics issues.
Hello, I am currently looking to acquire a Handheld multimeter oscilloscope. And I came across this DSO8102 which looks pretty good to me but there is very little feedback on Handheld Hantek hardware. The advice you always or are you disappointed after some time of use. Hello, I found out that Hantek and Panasonic have many media-level marketing promoters in Google. I bought a DSO8202E, its default depth is 4K, and can not observe SD video signal (I use Tektronix video signal generator), 40k depth. It can capture 1 field of video signal, it is very accurate about audio signal, but it lacks a matching trigger mode. This kind of oscilloscope will always be compared with Agilent (Keysight) video vector oscilloscope, because the latter's response speed can achieve the effect of fish tank feeling. The biggest weakness of DSO8202 is that there is no isolation. Repair of full-channel AC circuits is not possible. As for FFT, it is just a deceptive trick. Thank you. I can buy a Tektronix THS730A 200M isolated oscilloscope for $300. Thank you for having a more powerful universal watch.

Nowadays you can get a pretty good quality oscilloscope for about 500 bucks now the new fluke oscilloscopes I'm sure that there's screen updating is faster than the one I have which is 13 years old but definitely the updating of the hand Tech is very fast I can see the wobble in waveforms that are operating in regulation so you can see Jitter really easy

There is no generator in this model, because at 10.37, the third Scope / DMM press did not turn on the DFG screen, but returned the unit to the DSO screen. It is possible to use DFG and DSO simultaneously, it is impossible to see both interfaces. I also wanted to have such a function.
is it fluke 199C or 196C? I cannot see the model # clearly. Also Fluke 199C datasheet says screen update rate > 100/sec which is kinda terrible I agree. The resolution is also 320x240. How is the resolution on the Hantek? Do you know its update rate? The big selling point of the Fluke 199C is (1) excellent unmatched safety ratings (2) 2.5Gs/sec sample rate for each channel independently. However with 3K waveform memory I dont know how useful is that sample rate.
The hand Tech screen update is really fast you could tell by looking at the video you could see the flickering on the flute you see no flickering on the hand Tech. The hand Tech scope is also faster at responding to Signal input.
thanks. I was so undecided about getting a 199C but with this information, that's it for me, no Fluke for sure. Their new products seem to be very good but ridiculously expensive. So I think I'll go with a used U1620A from Agilent since I really need the high safety rating and isolated inputs
I guess we might be wrong about judging that waveform update rate based on the flickering seen in the video clip. Come to think of it, that flickering is due to the PWM control of the LCD backlight on the Fluke and has nothing to do with the waveform update rate. But I found a Fluke datasheet that says waveform update rate is > 100/sec. Still too low but probably not bad among handheld scopes. A Keysight Tech support person told me the waveform update rate on a U1620A is only 50/sec !! The Fluke is at least 15 years older technology than the Agilent one...Although the Fluke has a much lower resolution (320x240) than the Keysight (640X320) so it maybe it kinda makes sense...
After making this video since the camera is 30 frames per second you could see the updating on the fluke you can't see the updating on the hantek so it's probably doing probably 120 maybe 300 frames a second.
there is an important remark: why does the FLUKE measure a frequency of 143.4 Khz (minute: 5:16) while the HANTEK measures a frequency of 129.3 Khz (minute: 15:50)? if the remark is right, it is a big problem of precision for the Chenoise mark.
Refresh rate looks better on Hantek. I have one Fluke 289 and one friend bought a chinese meter similar to my Fluke, display of chinese meter is tons more better and overall contruction is very good. Cheers
Ricardo B I see what you mean that's because the camera shutter speed and the refresh rate on this fluke are closer together than the hand Tech the hand Tech probably has a faster refresh rate, but to your naked eye you cannot tell the difference only the camera reveals that.

I had the Fluke 190-204. I had to send it back. I couldn't stand looking at that screen it has... I couldn't believe they would ever release a product looking that way... So anyone watching this, it looks this bad in person... minus the flicker from the refresh rate differences.. Great video though....
comparison? well, your hantek was on the show, the fluke remained dark so I allow myself a few remarks - unfortunately I could not see the type of the fluke but as of the design I tend to say iths is a 19xC (x stays for 6 or 9), this series was introduced about 2002, 19 years ago - safety? fluke gives fully isolated channels up to 1000V cat II and 600V cat III, your hantek will blow away when you connect each ground to individual phase on your power socket - functions? yes, nice, does the hantek have replay? this is a really powerfull feature when you troubleshoot and got a "glitch" on the signal but missed it. fluke will show you in the reply memory the last 100 screens you saw. however, a fair comparison looks different than yours, for a hoby task this is fully ok, for professionals? probably not. one point you are right, the price is really competitive for a blue box looking the same as the yellow one.
I know the hantek doesn't have isolated outputs, but that's about the only thing. Another issue is the fluke scope allows dirt to get inside the display which was really a bummer for $2,500 that I paid for it.

Check out the 6074be or cheaper 1008c or other hantek scopes. They work with tablets or PCs. For $600 you can 6074 kit 4 which can do almost everything you would want to do. You can also for $45 get a 20 MHz Hantek 6022be unit that should do most of the stuff you may want to do on a car. My guess the probes are what you should upgrade on.
Your comparison is rather poor, please compare all parameters not only you decided is your favorite! Try for example isolation or even environment sustainability. This fluke wasn't developed for features like colors and your bench use. Its workhorse for outdoor measurement.
Well I guarantee you after you try out both those scope side by side you'd rather pay $500 then 5,000 as it stands I don't know of any scope that has isolated grounded inputs except fluke

I could get five of the 8 channel USB scopes for less cost and have the full FHD laptop screen for software interface. I thought it was annoying to have the laptop, but it's not $600 annoying ;)
This compare is like an old senior engineer (Fluke) and Junior Engineer (Hantek). Old engineers will do small things, slower, but will do it precise and best. Junior engineer will do it faster, will think quicker, but result might be with errors. Well, I have Hantek, I have Fluke. With both I had issues (with Fluke display, with Hantek corrupt firmware). Fluke I can find a lot of documentation to fix, for Hantek I had to beg by their support to give me new firmware. And all documentation I got was in chinese :D. Finnally I had to search on internet how to fix it. Quality inside of Fluke is WAY much better than Hantek regards to PCB, insolation, components . Probes of Hantek are jokes compare with probes from Fluke. On the other side, Fluke is a certificated brand regards to safety. Has good and quality materials, software is simple, but really stable, is for a professional domain.

Uffffff for this one you have to borrow money from the bank, is a scantool with a scope, all in one box. Amazing tool for those who can afford one as the Gutmann makes the best multibrand scanners in Europe.
Since this video I put new batteries in the scope it came with batteries that were weak I found out now when I use it it stays on full power on the battery for a long time I haven't seen it come down yet cuz I run out of test time it's time to put the device away
@@ooltimu they come included in the scope but they were not fresh it took me about two years to realize this and when I put in brand new fresh batteries the charging system operating different than what I described in the video when the batteries are fully charged the green light doesn't flash anymore and it stays on continuous
what you didn't say was how frustratingly slow the hantek is compared to the fluke .also i purchased the dso 820 and within 18 months it stopped working .it would not self calibrate.no support no communication from hantek .bunch of wankers .inside when i went to trouble shoot and found all the IC numbers sanded off .i had to sell it at great loss .now i have a lovely fluke .fast ,accurate and reliable .no more chinese crap!
The hand Tech it's not slower than the fluke it's faster get updates instantly upon signal the screen updates faster so there's no flickering when you video it.

I work in industry. I use hantek. I had fluke before i sold it i bought hantek and put $2k in my saving account. Only stupid and ignorant people buy snap off and fluke. (most trade guys) I am an engineer. By the way my salary is $200k at year i work in mining.
I have a friend who works on oil and gas rigs in the North sea, we discuss and use test gear all the time, I'm pretty sure all the test gear has to be intrinsically safe before it's allowed on site, the same goes for computers and radio gear when my nephew had a software project product been rolled out there. Mining might be different but I would have thought there would be similar gas related hazards there too.
We have fluke scopemeters and never use them outside clamp meters. We use these Chinese scopes all the time though and they’re quite accurate and convenient for the cost and it saves a ton of money! The batteries also don’t cost a fuck ton and we can plug them in with a phone charger 😂 they run on 18650 batteries instead of some expensive proprietary battery pack.
Barry O'Sullivan I never tried to turn the flashlight on I know it comes on when you boot up the scope but there's probably menu setting in there to turn it on like is everything else with that scope you got to look around like hell
Fluke scopes have 6X Ni-MH battery pack, they are the size of 18650s. they are sold between 300 to 400 USD on amazon or from fluke ... its a fucking joke !

Im just using a 26 Years old Philips ScopeMeter PM97 (same Models as the Fluke ScopeMeter 97) and it still is Perflectly Fine, it has also an "Auto Set" Button the Monitor isnt rely good but it is good enouth to see what u are measuring. Recently I purchased a $2 power supply from China now the difference in this is that it had current regulation as well but it didn't start out that way, somebody in America modified the circuit to be current limiting, then Chinese stole that circuit design put it on PCB and now selling for $2.

Maximus WTF are you talking about. Where in the hell did I say that fluke is the be all end all. Your so butt hurt because by your own words presently fluke and that other brand you mentioned are to rich for your blood. If all your broke ass can afford is China designed/poorly copied tools don't get mad at those who can afford fluke and keysight. The ORIGINAL probes of the hantek in this video should tell you about the build quality over all. You come across as a mad man screaming how much a Kia is superior or equal to a Bugatti because you can't afford the Bugatti, ignoring the gaping performance and quality between the two. The hantek might can perform the measurements the fluke or keysight can minus the piece of mind the hantek will not get you electrocuted soley as a result of its flimsy design and build I was originally simply saying if you have a meter that already meets your need why go out and buy another, the guy in this video bought the hantek out of want not need. Why waste the money buying the same tool twice especially since the first tool cost you a fortune and hasn't exceeded your needs, it would make more sense to beat your money out of the fluke scope indefinitely instead of giving it a break by using a second meter. I watch videos on youtube of people who show off test equipment you know they never use, who needs 20 multimeters, 5 spectrum analyzers and 7 DSO By the way I did own a hantek DSO1200 Scope, it was shit heavy aliasing with only a 60mhz signal on a so called 200mhz band scope. So I sent it back and bought a Siglent SHS810 as all my projects are low current DC/AC applications so my life is not in danger using this China instrument. I recently gave hantek another chance and bought a ac/dc current clamp, it gave erratic reading so sent it back and got it this case bought a fluke 80i-110s used with my 43b.

I can tell you from my personal experience on the fluke it takes a sec for the waveform to change, it's instant on hantek

The only lesser thing so far, it only has 1GSa/s @ 50MHz and chops it up according to how many channels you're using and they are not isolated. However, for only €400 giving you 4 channels, I definitely can't complain.

Ah nice! Becareful, probe ground channels are not isolated!! If you probe a MOSFET Drain-Source and Signal-Ground to see if they correspond, you WILL blow up your scope. Hantek, make pretty good stuff I have one of their pc type scopes and it functions very well (6022B) I think. Only cost about $80 AUD. 20 MHz, no ac coupling but it does the job.. Good video, Thanks.
I'm very impressed with Hantek's products. I use their 1008C PC based scope for automotive diagnostics. It has a 12bit vehicle resolution at only $120 and has plenty enough sampling rate and bandwidth for slower automotive signals. The only thing it suffers on is serial data like CAN bus captures. But overall I'm very impressed and it has bailed me out many time when faced with complexed diagnostics issues.

Hello, I found out that Hantek and Panasonic have many media-level marketing promoters in Google. I bought a DSO8202E, its default depth is 4K, and can not observe SD video signal (I use Tektronix video signal generator), 40k depth. It can capture 1 field of video signal, it is very accurate about audio signal, but it lacks a matching trigger mode. This kind of oscilloscope will always be compared with Agilent (Keysight) video vector oscilloscope, because the latter's response speed can achieve the effect of fish tank feeling. The biggest weakness of DSO8202 is that there is no isolation. Repair of full-channel AC circuits is not possible. As for FFT, it is just a deceptive trick. Thank you. I can buy a Tektronix THS730A 200M isolated oscilloscope for $300. Thank you for having a more powerful universal watch.

Nowadays you can get a pretty good quality oscilloscope for about 500 bucks now the new fluke oscilloscopes I'm sure that there's screen updating is faster than the one I have which is 13 years old but definitely the updating of the hand Tech is very fast I can see the wobble in waveforms that are operating in regulation so you can see Jitter really easy

There is no generator in this model, because at 10.37, the third Scope / DMM press did not turn on the DFG screen, but returned the unit to the DSO screen.
It is possible to use DFG and DSO simultaneously, it is impossible to see both interfaces. I also wanted to have such a function.

is it fluke 199C or 196C? I cannot see the model # clearly. Also Fluke 199C datasheet says screen update rate > 100/sec which is kinda terrible I agree. The resolution is also 320x240. How is the resolution on the Hantek? Do you know its update rate?
The big selling point of the Fluke 199C is (1) excellent unmatched safety ratings (2) 2.5Gs/sec sample rate for each channel independently. However with 3K waveform memory I dont know how useful is that sample rate.

The hand Tech screen update is really fast you could tell by looking at the video you could see the flickering on the flute you see no flickering on the hand Tech. The hand Tech scope is also faster at responding to Signal input.
thanks. I was so undecided about getting a 199C but with this information, that's it for me, no Fluke for sure. Their new products seem to be very good but ridiculously expensive. So I think I'll go with a used U1620A from Agilent since I really need the high safety rating and isolated inputs
I guess we might be wrong about judging that waveform update rate based on the flickering seen in the video clip. Come to think of it, that flickering is due to the PWM control of the LCD backlight on the Fluke and has nothing to do with the waveform update rate. But I found a Fluke datasheet that says waveform update rate is > 100/sec. Still too low but probably not bad among handheld scopes. A Keysight Tech support person told me the waveform update rate on a U1620A is only 50/sec !! The Fluke is at least 15 years older technology than the Agilent one...Although the Fluke has a much lower resolution (320x240) than the Keysight (640X320) so it maybe it kinda makes sense...
I also found a specification in the Hantek user guide that states the update rate (they call it refresh rate) is 50/sec maximum.
After making this video since the camera is 30 frames per second you could see the updating on the fluke you can't see the updating on the hantek so it's probably doing probably 120 maybe 300 frames a second.

there is an important remark: why does the FLUKE measure a frequency of 143.4 Khz (minute: 5:16) while the HANTEK measures a frequency of 129.3 Khz (minute: 15:50)?
if the remark is right, it is a big problem of precision for the Chenoise mark.

Ricardo B I see what you mean that's because the camera shutter speed and the refresh rate on this fluke are closer together than the hand Tech the hand Tech probably has a faster refresh rate, but to your naked eye you cannot tell the difference only the camera reveals that.

Fuke sucks on displays they break all the time and old style LCD no TFT and the viewing angle sucks even more.
I had the Fluke 190-204. I had to send it back. I couldn't stand looking at that screen it has... I couldn't believe they would ever release a product looking that way... So anyone watching this, it looks this bad in person... minus the flicker from the refresh rate differences.. Great video though....

so I allow myself a few remarks
- unfortunately I could not see the type of the fluke but as of the design I tend to say iths is a 19xC (x stays for 6 or 9), this series was introduced about 2002, 19 years ago
- safety? fluke gives fully isolated channels up to 1000V cat II and 600V cat III, your hantek will blow away when you connect each ground to individual phase on your power socket
- functions? yes, nice, does the hantek have replay? this is a really powerfull feature when you troubleshoot and got a "glitch" on the signal but missed it. fluke will show you in the reply memory the last 100 screens you saw.
however, a fair comparison looks different than yours, for a hoby task this is fully ok, for professionals? probably not. one point you are right, the price is really competitive for a blue box looking the same as the yellow one.
I know the hantek doesn't have isolated outputs, but that's about the only thing. Another issue is the fluke scope allows dirt to get inside the display which was really a bummer for $2,500 that I paid for it.
Compare new to new, the fluke is how old. Just wonder how many years this new one will last?
I would be interested in the siglent high end with isolated Inputs, if you should ever have one.

Check out the 6074be or cheaper 1008c or other hantek scopes. They work with tablets or PCs. For $600 you can 6074 kit 4 which can do almost everything you would want to do. You can also for $45 get a 20 MHz Hantek 6022be unit that should do most of the stuff you may want to do on a car. My guess the probes are what you should upgrade on.

Your comparison is rather poor, please compare all parameters not only you decided is your favorite! Try for example isolation or even environment sustainability. This fluke wasn't developed for features like colors and your bench use. Its workhorse for outdoor measurement.
Well I guarantee you after you try out both those scope side by side you'd rather pay $500 then 5,000 as it stands I don't know of any scope that has isolated grounded inputs except fluke

I could get five of the 8 channel USB scopes for less cost and have the full FHD laptop screen for software interface. I thought it was annoying to have the laptop, but it's not $600 annoying ;)
There's a little handheld version that's pretty good too for about $139 you can see it on eBay right away just type in hantek oscilloscope.

It seems the waveform generator can only do 3.5 volts dc? This is a bummer as some field work requires 5 vdc square waves for testing equipment.
The waveform generator is a little IC chip on a breadboard it's not connected to the scope except to its input
This compare is like an old senior engineer (Fluke) and Junior Engineer (Hantek). Old engineers will do small things, slower, but will do it precise and best. Junior engineer will do it faster, will think quicker, but result might be with errors.
Well, I have Hantek, I have Fluke. With both I had issues (with Fluke display, with Hantek corrupt firmware). Fluke I can find a lot of documentation to fix, for Hantek I had to beg by their support to give me new firmware. And all documentation I got was in chinese :D. Finnally I had to search on internet how to fix it.
Quality inside of Fluke is WAY much better than Hantek regards to PCB, insolation, components . Probes of Hantek are jokes compare with probes from Fluke.

Yes, Hantek is looking shine, nice view, fast response, a very good product vs price for hobby. But only for hobby. And is doing very well. Regards to safety, Hantek is a joke, trust me. Has no protections and that CAT 3, don't relly on that...they can write and stamp whatever you want.
On the other side, Fluke is a certificated brand regards to safety. Has good and quality materials, software is simple, but really stable, is for a professional domain.

Since this video I put new batteries in the scope it came with batteries that were weak I found out now when I use it it stays on full power on the battery for a long time I haven't seen it come down yet cuz I run out of test time it's time to put the device away

It uses 6 18650 cells, it has a plastic holder in the back which the cells are inserted into then that's inserted into the scope

what you didn't say was how frustratingly slow the hantek is compared to the fluke .also i purchased the dso 820 and within 18 months it stopped working .it would not self calibrate.no support no communication from hantek .bunch of wankers .inside when i went to trouble shoot and found all the IC numbers sanded off .i had to sell it at great loss .now i have a lovely fluke .fast ,accurate and reliable .no more chinese crap!
The hand Tech it's not slower than the fluke it's faster get updates instantly upon signal the screen updates faster so there's no flickering when you video it.

You buy a fluke when you work in industry. Not for a home lab. Silly comparison if you ask me. Are you willing to risk life and property with a no name test tool? I would get chewed out if I brought this to work!
I work in industry. I use hantek. I had fluke before i sold it i bought hantek and put $2k in my saving account. Only stupid and ignorant people buy snap off and fluke. (most trade guys) I am an engineer. By the way my salary is $200k at year i work in mining.
I have a friend who works on oil and gas rigs in the North sea, we discuss and use test gear all the time, I'm pretty sure all the test gear has to be intrinsically safe before it's allowed on site, the same goes for computers and radio gear when my nephew had a software project product been rolled out there. Mining might be different but I would have thought there would be similar gas related hazards there too.
We have fluke scopemeters and never use them outside clamp meters. We use these Chinese scopes all the time though and they’re quite accurate and convenient for the cost and it saves a ton of money! The batteries also don’t cost a fuck ton and we can plug them in with a phone charger 😂 they run on 18650 batteries instead of some expensive proprietary battery pack.

Barry O'Sullivan I never tried to turn the flashlight on I know it comes on when you boot up the scope but there's probably menu setting in there to turn it on like is everything else with that scope you got to look around like hell
the menus aren't the easiest to get around and the beeper doesn't work when using ohm meter
Mine's an 8202E. I got it directly from Hantek for 580.00 USD plus 88.00 customs charges. 200 bucks less than i could get it anywhere else

Im just using a 26 Years old Philips ScopeMeter PM97 (same Models as the Fluke ScopeMeter 97) and it still is Perflectly Fine, it has also an "Auto Set" Button the Monitor isnt rely good but it is good enouth to see what u are measuring.

Recently I purchased a $2 power supply from China now the difference in this is that it had current regulation as well but it didn't start out that way, somebody in America modified the circuit to be current limiting, then Chinese stole that circuit design put it on PCB and now selling for $2.

I own a Fluke DVM that I have used for 30 years daily. Had only one problem with the wafer switch in all that time on which one contact got bent. 30 years ago $100.00 + dollars was a huge investment for a struggling married man. I love it but I owe my loyalty only to those who offer the best product for the lowest price. Competition drives the market, improves the product, and benefits the consumer.

I was originally simply saying if you have a meter that already meets your need why go out and buy another, the guy in this video bought the hantek out of want not need.
Why waste the money buying the same tool twice especially since the first tool cost you a fortune and hasn't exceeded your needs, it would make more sense to beat your money out of the fluke scope indefinitely instead of giving it a break by using a second meter. I watch videos on youtube of people who show off test equipment you know they never use, who needs 20 multimeters, 5 spectrum analyzers and 7 DSO
By the way I did own a hantek DSO1200 Scope, it was shit heavy aliasing with only a 60mhz signal on a so called 200mhz band scope. So I sent it back and bought a Siglent SHS810 as all my projects are low current DC/AC applications so my life is not in danger using this China instrument. I recently gave hantek another chance and bought a ac/dc current clamp, it gave erratic reading so sent it back and got it this case bought a fluke 80i-110s used with my 43b.
