Hello Sir I have a doubt in one of the questions.. Ques. A student is testing water to know which is the best for cleansing purposes with soaps. He would find that the cleansing action of soap is best when he uses, water obtained from:- (a) Rain (b) Tap (c) Hand Pump (d) Pond Sir you told that answer should be (b) i.e. tap water But according to me (a) must be the correct option because Rain water is the purest form of water, until and unless magnesium and calcium salts those are (RCOO)2 - Ca and (RCOO)2 - Mg, are present in it. And in rain water these salts are not present. And if we talk about tap water, it is also taken from ground and hence it will have so many magnesium and calcium salts also. So according to me the correct answer should be option (a) rain water. And rain water will show the good cleansing action with soap.... Sir please help me in rectifying this question.
