My ingredients, say Flour has different brands, prices and availability. Q: In order to include in the BOM, do I give them a common name as you did, as "C - Flour" ? When I buy new stock via QB, prices could change, brands could change, how do I correctly include the now available one in that "C - Flour" while maintaining correct stock levels of respective brands of Flour?
QuickBooks doesn't have the ability to maintain the brands and the parent item as well. It's either one of the other. Either you maintain a single item called Flour and are unable to track fluctuations to the price of the brands, or you track the brands individually.
How can we reverse the process, i.e. turning one product into multiple products?
