So, I say that the episode 8 review won't be out for a while, but I think I might actually be able to get it out tomorrow or so. Hopefully you guys enjoyed this, it was an interesting little experiment for me. By the way, I should mention that I now have a Twitter account, follow me if you'd like to see... not sure, I guess otherwise intelligent discussions from me confined to the space of 280 characters? twitter.com/VikingJolly
Take your time to heal mentally. I, for one, look forward to your reaction to the "Sauron reveal" (I say reveal, but it comes so out of left field that calling it a reveal would be far to nice).
Thank you, I admit I was kinda concerned about how this one would turn out considering just how different it is from my usual reviews, but people really seem to be enjoying it
"Hey, guys? What should we call this land we just found?" Orcs in sync: "Adar. Adar. Adar..." The screen: Mordor Me: huh?! Truly amazing writing from the genius minds behind the RoP.
I couldn’t get past the 2nd episode. I was so frustrated by the terrible writing that I chose to find my enjoyment through the critiques that the brave illuminated like yourself provided. In my attempt to give the writers some praise, I can truly thank them for creating a season of viewing so perfectly corrupted that I have found a score of wonderful content creators that I could never have discovered otherwise. Bless you for the ugliness that you choose to endure in order to bring your followers joy. 🙏
Not gonna lie I was looking forward to you explaining all those things again for the 7th time but I get it… Can you elaborate what you mean Durin turned down the best offer he’ll ever get in his life? Doesn’t Mithril turn out to be the most valuable metal in the world and they should trade it for food and wood? Is that particular forest wood all that special or something
He's being given a secure and stable future for basically his entire kingdom for long after he's gone, and all he needs to do is allow access to a resource that he's not planning on acquiring anyway. Although, I think what irks me most is that he's basically doing it out of a stubborn hatred of Elves, even when he's shown that there's mithril easily accessible he still doesn't allow it to happen, which means he's being actually irresponsible, irrational, and pointlessly stubborn as the King of arguably the most important Dwarven realm.
@@thejollyviking8083 yeah well also to be fair I think they were implying a suspicion that the elves wouldn’t follow through after they came and collected on his end of the bargain which if he had good reason to believe so is a totally rational reason to decline a contract…however if a rational reason for that level of distrust was provided I missed it
I understand I watched extremly detailed reviews for the first 5 episodes that pointed out lorebreaks and just normal problems. But recently I have had to skip through them ( several times at different times to get the whole story) I cannot bear a detailed hatch watch of reviews now.
So, the Mithril somehow reverses the blight of evil, and the Balrog has been buried deep in a place full of Mithril....
Sorry, didn't see this episode until just now, but that's actually a really good point, and kind of ironic as well.

@@mmmmmmmm53 Oh yeah, mental healing... that sounds nice actually 😄
I feel your pain, my brother in Tolkien
It is a pain I believe we are all beginning to share.
Beautifully crafted video- poetic, Shakespearean even.
Thank you!
Beautiful. I completely understand and agree with your position. Well written, well said. Thanks-

How could one even hope for better dialogue!

Interesting. Is it just because you can't bear to see the same stuff pointed out all over again, or that they're just not that interesting anymore?
Bravo! That poem was so good!
Thank you!
