    This was very informative. I’m in the Tampa Bay Area. My decision was between 2 companies here…. One installs PGT only and the other one installs Eastern Architectural Systems only. I was leaning toward the company that uses EAS windows. I have heard lots about the PGT windows, but not the EAS windows. You have put my mind at ease to go with the EAS windows. Thanks

    • @jasonv2323
      @jasonv2323  Год назад

      EAS is a really good window!! It has something that the PGT window does not have which is the antridized T Bar! Which is in the bottom of the frame and the sash attaches to it and it gives some extra security! I sell both you can’t go wrong with an EAS window!!

    My A/C runs a lot less with these windows. I don’t need to turn on my heat during the winter either. I use to feel the draft with my old windows. Now the temperature stays steady in my house. The windows cost money but they raised the value of my home and I believe my A/C running less and not as hard should last longer.

    Jason, I’m in Hollywood fl and they are telling me about aluminum being better than vinyl.

    • @jasonv2323
      @jasonv2323  Месяц назад

      @@luisamejia1970 there are pros and cons to both! Energy efficiency, warranties, etc are the big advantages to a good quality first run virgin vinyl window! So typically the argument for aluminum over vinyl would be against a recycled vinyl window that may yellow, or become brittle over time! But a PGT 5500 series Vinyl window or an EAS vinyl window are first run virgin vinyl and last forever without issues! The pros to aluminum are strength, it naturally is a stronger material so in order to make a vinyl window meet code they have to reinforce the frame with aluminum! So it depends on the brand of vinyl you are being quoted! Let me know which brands you are being quoted and I will give you my honest professional opinion!

    Does eastern window make a triple glass window? Does PGT make a window that can be installed over the frame of my old windows? I'm in the market for some windows and I'm doing alot of research. Thank you for your informative video.

    • @jasonv2323
      @jasonv2323  8 месяцев назад

      Eastern does have a triple glass option as well as most manufacturers! No any new window needs to be replaced frame and all unless you have the same make and newer PGT model! In that case a new glass package can be inserted into frame! But that is rare if it’s an older house!

    Hello! I have Eastern Architectural Systems window in Captiva. One of our windows got cracked on the bottom sash. We cannot find someone to repair the bottom sash. I am considering doing this myself. Do you know if this is something that a homeowner can do themselves.

    Hi Jason. I live in Jupiter. I have begun a search for impact windows. I have gotten 2 estimates so far. Unfortunately unlike many here in Florida/Jupiter I would be applying for Pace financing which seems to turn off installers. My house is wood. Both companies pushing me for aluminum when I want vinyl. They said the vinyl is way more expensive, frames yellow etc. So thank you for your video. I'm sure you are busy but I have 2 questions. Do you come down to Jupiter and are you a Pace approved dealer. My intention was JUST windows which I may stick with BUT if you have the pace financing I would consider "front door" and possibly sliders, single glass.

      Like you I'm looking for windows and my current research has shown this to be untrue about the current aluminum being sold. This is because Aluminum has changed from those offered many years ago according to other window reviewers. Check this review out: ruclips.net/video/GZHb1C5I_tk/видео.html

    Hi Jason, how do. We tell which side is impact?

    • @jasonv2323
      @jasonv2323  Год назад

      It’s normally the inside that is impact and the outside is the sacrificial piece of glass! You can tell by knocking on it! When you knock on impact it thuds kind of like you are knocking on concrete or granite. When knocking on regular glass it kind of makes a tinging noise

    Port Saint Lucie here. If the glass is hit during a hurricane do they break like regular glass or shatter?

    • @jasonv2323
      @jasonv2323  2 года назад

      If they are hit hard enough the impact glass cracks similar to a car windshield. The pvb interlayer is heat treated between two pieces of glass to form the impact glass. It absorbs the impact but stays in place to protect your home from catastrophic damage.

      First run vinyl last just fine in south Florida. Comes with a lifetime warranty from largest manufacturers in the business. I have sold millions of dollars of Vinyl windows in south Florida over the past 15 years and never have an issue with a Vinyl frame. Do some research on Virgin Vinyl.
