To answer some of your questions (if i can remember them all): Adam fixed everything that'd been damaged at the end of the season 1, including the bookshop and car. Because Crowley is seen as a traitor he lost his job, and his flat came with the job. Nina couldn't talk to her partner on the phone because the power went out in the electronics as well as the shop itself. Two of the nuns and Madame Tracy were both recast from the first season, as Nina, Maggie, and Shax
oh also! some outside context that might explain the tone of this season vs last season, re: y’all’s discussion at the end. so season 1 was based on the novel good omens by neil gaiman and terry pratchett, of course, and it’s true that originally there would only be that one season. however, before he died, apparently terry pratchett did have plans with neil gaiman for a good omens sequel, it just never got written. neil decided to expand on those plans they had for the sequel, but THAT would be in season 3. so, this season (season 2), is essentially a bridge between good omens the novel, and the plans for the sequel that had been drafted. that being said- BEST FILLER SEASON EVER imo haha
They had to recast Beelzebub because the original actress was unavailable. I'm a HUGE fan of both actresses (especially the newest incarnation), though, so I love both versions of the character. 😍
In my reaction, I was starting to share Aziraphale's frustration and when he asked Gabriel about the box I was like "please don't ask what box" and then he said exactly that lmao

So this season was fantastic it’s basically setting up for season 3 but holy crap it was a fun amazing ride. You’ll love it. Btw I recommend rewatching the opening after finished episode 6 there are lots of references that takes place in season 2 but Neil also said that there are plenty of stuff that will take on season 3.
It’s the first time he’s ever had something to drink from the human world - hot coco With how much Crowley and Aziraphale eat - you can imagine how much they enjoy it. He doesn’t really come down to earth or is aware of it or participates or has a little cup of coco and some biscuits like a human. That’s the first time he’s ever tried human food so his shock is like ‘wow I feel it in my brain and it’s moving in my body and woah it has taste and smell and I can experience it!’ The coco isn’t a conceptual human thing he knows exist but doesn’t experience it become something he knows through experience and trying it. And he’s in a state where you could tell him anything or do anything and he’d go along with it. Like Adam and Eve - in this moment Aziraphale is giving an Angel human food and making them experience humanity. Much like how Crowley was the snake that fed Adam and Eve and disclosed/implied they were naked and gave them taste and choices. If we think about it Adam and Eve existed on earth as the people to look at h the stars and do only that… accepting the Apple prolonged humanity past the 6 million year shut down that god would have intended. If they remained unchanged in a perfect world where everything is flawless - then 6 million years isn’t different then the first day.) the fact they learned and changed their behavior and became people with personal decisions not only gods intention means that the 6 million years of the universe doesn’t have to end because gods pet project is taking his attention away from the self destruct button. (He has an inbox or trillions of prayers and fleats of angels doing tasks pertaining to humanity alone or humanity and hell- and organizing and control. It’s their sole focus. If the universe was left without any change then shutting it down wouldn’t matter and the angels would still have other jobs floating around not caring about a solar system or not caring about other things they could be doing like harp practice for eternity… Because of humanity they all have to work on earth with the major universe stuff being on the back burner.
I can’t wait to see you watch the rest of this season! I think I even tops the last one probably because the creators knew exactly what we want: more focus on Aziraphale and Crowley. Also, implied spoilers below for those who’ve already watched “I just want them to kiss” 😬 Oh honey you have no idea what you’re in for
The actress who played Beelzebub in S1 was busy during S2 filming, so she couldn't come back. If Beelzebub comes back I wonder which actress will come back. I suppose the new one.
Another reactor pointed out that Crowley wasn't actually wrong, but he did the dance anyway because he knew it was the only way Aziraphale would let him stay and help.❤
Nina Sosanya (in addition to playing Sister Mary Loquacious last season and uttering the offending fat comments in _Love, Actually),_ was in _Doctor Who_ and also in _Last Tango in Halifax._

oh I cannot wait to see your reaction to the rest of the season. it was a good season for sure! slightly surprisingly, considering that Sir Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman never even started writing a second book. as far as I know, they just talked about where the story might go after the end of the first one. so the success of this second season is mostly thanks to the weird genius of Neil Gaiman... but not only. you will see. it's fun! ^_^ meanwhile, I might watch your reactions of S01 and see you fall in love with those two silly immortals ^^
Just a fair warning - this season is not a self-contained stand-alone story like season 1 was. Plenty of things don't get resolved and it ends with a cliffhanger. I think it's good to be emotionally prepared for that.
Everybody says "partner" now, except some people who are married, and a lot of them do too. Interestingly, we never really get any pronouns for Lindsey (an ambiguous name).

They actually had started writing it but had only gotten a basic plan for the plot and a few loosely-written scenes done before he died.
