Update: Moving layers in the "advanced layers" panel with a mouse is possible if you hold down the mouse button for a while to "undock" it. Same as you would do with touch or pencil.
Sure enough I come here to learn, but the narration and the way he reacts to his own work himself are so entertaining I got a fun time laughing a lot. Thank you !
Do you have a video that explains how to refine the edge after selecting the subject? I want to adjust the borders after using the select subject tool- especially for dogs with lots of fine hairs sticking out. Love the way you explain things!
I created a logo and wanted to erase the white background. Your video helped me figure that out.My question is in what format should I save the picture so when I use it the background is actually transparent. Is it PNG or JPEG, etc.?
Great video. I have a question I have the new iPad and just downloaded Photoshop. I do not seem to have the selection box. Did they place it somewhere else? So confused and new to photoshop and I am trying to remove a background. Thanks in advance
If you're looking for the selection tools, it's the third symbol from the top on the left side. Press once to select it, then press again to show more tools. It might look different from the video, if another tool is selected. Did that solve your problem?
What if, for example you want to keep the chair! Since it have holes it should be difficultier, also, what if there is something that the select tool didnt get from the dog, what would you do?
Good question. Use a brush and paint with white on the MASK layer (see 2:21) to reveal anything else you want too see, like the chair or more puppy. To remove the holes in chair, paint with black. Hope that helps!
Hi Ashanti. If you need more fonts, have a look at the app Fontasy. It’s an app that allows you to browse Google Fonts. apps.apple.com/se/app/fontasy-font-browser/id653884771?l=en
If you want to keep the background transparent after export, so only the dog and the table in the foreground remains, you need to hide the background and export as a PNG.
I don't think it works on iPhone. You can download Adobe Photoshop Mix to do some light editing on an iPhone: www.adobe.com/se/products/mix.html You might need a creative cloud subscription.
@@Leninzkis Meaning you are telling about what is possible only. You go way too fast and assume someone knows the names of the buttons, etc. You are just showing what is possible, by no means teaching..It would be nice for you to slow down, show exactly where to click closer up, and explain more. That's why I said it's an overview only.
Thx, constructive feedback is always appreciated! I’ve heard I went too slow, but you’re the first to say too fast. Goes to show how people are different. 😄 I’ll keep your feedback in mind for upcoming videos. 👍
@@Leninzkis oh believe me, your instruction is extremely appreciated. Your knowledge is awesome and would love to learn more from you. Only slower, lol. Thanks for taking my ideas nicely ☺️

Well thank you Catherine, much appreciated! 🙂

Thank you Katie! I don’t have a video on that, but I’ll begin writing one up! 🙂

For transparency, you’ll want to save it as a PNG.

@@Leninzkis is not the same :/
No :(
For all the good stuff you need an iPad.
When I tried to put it in another backroud it got blurry 😭
Sounds like you might have applied the Gaussian Blur (at 4:25) to your foreground layer instead of your background layer?
I don’t have a subject tool.
Make sure you have the latest version of Photoshop installed.
thaaankkk you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭😭😭
Tears of joy I hope. 👍
