we had a 8 track home stereo and 8 track car stereo, we had Queen, Beatles, Nazareth, Led Zeppelin, Kiss, Billy Joel, Elvis Presley, Allman Brothers etc .
This is by far my absolute favorite tool review channel ever this guy is hilarious but he brings up a lot of good points he’s not afraid to call Milwaukee out even though you can tell he’s a Milwaukee fan boy. He also isn’t afraid to put it out there to people buying these products and he’s not taking any money from Milwaukee to do that. This guy is a beast, and is one of the reasons I made my first Milwaukee purchase three days ago. I got the M 12 starter kit fuel impact driver and hammer drill. Also because of him I was aware of the sale where I got the free cordless oscillating multi tool. I will never not watch one of his videos! Thanks bro!
Vince I got it direct from Milwaukee, They don't consider this a Radio but a Charger that just so happens to have a radio in it. So its not violating their no hybrid policy.
Picked one of these up about a week ago... my first Milwaukee 'tool' that's not m18 fuel. I have to say I'm very impressed with it so far. My co worker picked up the big m18 one at the same time I got this, he paid more than twice as much for the larger one and honestly it's almost too much... I love mine and he actually regrets not just getting the smaller one too, the large one is overkill for the type of work we do.
I'm 38 and have my grandmother's cabinet stereo with turntable and 8 track player. When I was in junior high I would go to her house and use her 8 Track to Cassette adapter, with my Cassette to Aux Out adapter to plug in my Discman so I could listen to my CDs at her house. I had to do the same thing when I would drive her 1978 Seafoam Green Coupe DeVille! I have a collection of about 60 8 tracks right now, but I'd say my Little Richard and Jimi Hendrix "Friends From the Beginning" 8 Track is my favorite.
VCG IS THE BEST!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!! All your hard work for all of us is so deeply appreciated!!! Thank you!!! Forgot to add... the Husky rolling bag that you loved and have is $30 off at HD. You’re right it’s a fantastic bag but whenever are you wrong? Never!!! Your extremely honest, knowledgeable and that’s why everybody trusts you! You can’t be bought and your a man with tremendous integrity!!!! Bob
I have had the old M12 radio for years. 3 or 4 years I think and use it daily on site and love it! But I will need to upgrade! The old one will be great up north
I think the fact that it has an optional cord that serves a purpose of charging a battery thats pretty cool. I wonder how long it takes to charge a dead battery?
When I was a kid in the 1970’s my family had a 1976 Buick Electra with an 8 track player. My favorite 8 track was “Elvis Live-Aloha from Hawaii. I still have the 8 track.
Hi Vince, What do you mean it's not packout compatible? It fits right inside perfectly, LOL....Plus you can cut out a section of the foam that some people are using for their tools, LOL... See PACKOUT compatible..... Just playing with y'all..... Thanks for the video
I have the older M18 radio charger. Love the sound. Was interested in the Packout version, but the price and still no M12 capability made it a hard no for me.
I'm old enough to know what a cassette tape is, and an 8-track player, but never used the latter at all. CD and DVD quality music may be the clearest sounding audio you will hear, but it doesn't have the "fullness" as vinyl records. Even then, vinyl records have increased in quality over the years, and have made a comeback. With all that said, this will be my next M12 pickup.
My favorite 8 track was " A nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse " by Rod Stewart and the Faces. Only problem was that right in the middle of " Cut across Shorty ". It switched tracks and there was that click click sound right in the middle of the song. This is one of the best videos you have done. The pack out radio is kind of expensive especially since I can't hear it before I buy it .
Before the 8 track tape, there was the 4 track track tape. The four track didn't fair well so they came up with the 8 track. Just like back in the day when video tapes came out there was Beta video tapes, that didn't fair well either when VHS tapes came out.
Will it tune to a local radio station I’m wondering if I could take it to the drive in theatre so I can lay on an air mattress in the truck bed while the trucks off
Would be super super nice and awesome if MW put out a Packout Radio 2.0 that has a QuickCharger for the phones, USB-C, multiple ports, and addition of M12 battery charging. What would blow away the competition, a Rapid dual voltage charger built into the Packout Radio Charger 2.0
Favorite 8 track, Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. We used to listen to it in an hour commute every day. My mom got so sick of it she threw it out the window!
When you buy this tools on line what's the best way to get them warranty? Milwaukee online website sucks big time I love thier tools I hate their customers service.
My car and later, my Datsun pickup, were decked out with a Pioneer Supertuner 8-Track & radio. I also added a Fosgate amplifier to drive my Jensen speakers..... Favorite tape??? Greetings from Asbury Park by The Boss, himself.
I have both radios, to be honest I prefer the M12. It fits in my tool box instead of being part of it. The sound quality in the M18 is much better tho. Thanks for the review and keep them coming guys 😎
@VCG Construction. Thanks Vince for the review and a walk down memory lane with the cassette and 8-track tapes My truck still has a working cassette player! I'm glad Milwaukee kept the AM band in their radios which Dewalt didn't do with their Toughsystem 2.0 radio/charger. Do you know whether Dewalt fixed those base speakers in the 2.0 radios? Hope you and your family stay safe and well. Have a Happy Independence Day.
Speaking of charge features. Anyone else wondering why the m18 fan dosent charge batteries? Im thinking it would of taken like 2$ worth of parts to engineer a relay switch that diverts power from the ac adapter to the battery when the fan is turned off
I’ve got the M18 jobsite radio charger. I’m think about switching because it’s a beast and I’ve got plenty of M12 tools. When I’ve got it playing music from my phone via Bluetooth and simultaneously charging my phone (while sitting on the “lid flap”), there’s interference. Did they resolve that issue with this M12 radio charger?
I got the dcr025 because of the nice features but this thing is less portable so I got this one yesterday and damn Its loud enough, mabye not the best sound in town but its very loud for a small pool party or to finish my basement
How about a “Top 5 Jobsite Radios” video. I run Metabo HPT tools, but I bought a Bosch radio because it was the best for me. That’s the only reason I bought 2 Bosch batteries.
This is going to be a little long winded, I apologize. 1st I've been thinking about it and can you imagine the O.P.E that could be built around the MX Fuel batteries!!! Heck they could build an awesome riding mower!!!! Not to mention the power they could get with a traditional walk behind! 2nd Milwaukee is making huge strides with the 18v batteries but don't seem to care about the 12v. They do come out with really innovative tools but what about the batteries? I have both M18 and M12 tools and many are duplicates just different size and voltage. And at least 75% of the time I grab the M12 version (usually because of size and weight). It's only when I need raw power that I grab the M18. I wish they would put more effort into the M12 batteries.
Battery charging battery is only capable of so much. Otherwise if you don't require alot of distance and it's not a party, this M12 would be good enough for around the yard and garage I say. I am gonna get this 1, as the others would be overkill for me and what I do. I will though add pack out feet to it to go my PO. Looks like it will do the job for around house/ farm/ some camping. Like the BT though as even Ole skool and 8 tracks and cassettes I have learned to evolve lol. Price in Chinada seems high though, but that's Chinada 4 ya. Good review though thanks.;)
I'm always going place to place on the job site, so the m12 radio will be my go too. Also as far as charging, my idea would be have something the size of the compact box or cooler that is a dedicated charging station that can be accessed from the side. It could be reverseable so it could charge on the left or right side of the packout stack. That way you would have a "base of operations" on the job site.
Dam Vince,... Your stand-up is kicking ass today! Cassette...8 track! those were the days. Three heavy 8 "clickers".. Pink Floyd Dark side of the moon, .. Sountrack for Easy Rider, Eric Clapton Derrick and the Dominos, and Steppenwolf. Great stuff Vince Happy 4th madman.
I still have a 8 track along with my record player home entertainment system as well as a small portable radio that has 8 track that plugs into the end of it, its sweet. Fav one I have has got to be Hank Williams greatest hits
I got the "Big Boi" Vince. Also got the little M12 USB Charger to get "Full Service" Charging. 10/10/22 Update: Got that M12 Radio Charger and I love it. Especially since I downsized my "Dailey Travler" Kit. All M12 Tools 1 Packout Toolbag. Neat!

if you read the instructions like Vince recommends ,,,,holding down the am/fm button for couple seconds brings up treble/bass adjustments
I love my m18 job site radio. A little heavy but that’s where the gains come in lol
Vince I got it direct from Milwaukee, They don't consider this a Radio but a Charger that just so happens to have a radio in it. So its not violating their no hybrid policy.
His nick name should be “ConVince” because I’m convinced, Vince.
Or bcoz Vince is a Con
You've been Vince'd.

We love having you as a huge part of the VERYCOOLGANG Robert you are the best brotha! God bless you and happy 4th of July weekend!!
This man knows his tech
I have had the old M12 radio for years. 3 or 4 years I think and use it daily on site and love it! But I will need to upgrade! The old one will be great up north
your guys majorly evolved how you guys are in front of the camera, Darn good job Vince
I started watching their videos about 3 months ago but it kind of seems like these guys have been doing it their entire lives
I really enjoy watching them grow and expand.
I don’t use the AM/FM so I went with the M18/M12 Bluetooth job site speaker. Works awesome and it rocks!
Really wish manufacturers would provide built-in
storage for AC Adapters & cords when they design
portable devises.
Does it sound better or louder than the previous m12 radio?
I think the fact that it has an optional cord that serves a purpose of charging a battery thats pretty cool. I wonder how long it takes to charge a dead battery?
Definitely grabbing that soon. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
Where do you stow the AC cord?
Removing the milwakee battery is a little tough. Do you have some advice on how to remove them easier.
When I was a kid in the 1970’s my family had a 1976 Buick Electra with an 8 track player. My favorite 8 track was “Elvis Live-Aloha from Hawaii. I still have the 8 track.

Just playing with y'all.....
Thanks for the video
I have the older M18 radio charger. Love the sound. Was interested in the Packout version, but the price and still no M12 capability made it a hard no for me.
Yeah there's obviously a huge markup on that thing, which makes sense because it's a cornered market (packout radios)
I'm old enough to know what a cassette tape is, and an 8-track player, but never used the latter at all.

Absolutely I know what cassettes are :-) and as a matter of fact, my first car had an 8 Track player, along with a Heart 8 Track tape. Good times!
Thanks for sharing!
The editing of these videos is gold😄
Packout radio does charge m12 batteries with the USB port and a usb pack charger
More stuff to carry.
As soon as this was announced I went on the website of a local tool store pretty much everyday waiting for it to become available
My favorite 8 track was " A nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse " by Rod Stewart and the Faces. Only problem was that right in the middle of " Cut across Shorty ". KISS Alive II 8 track for me, they basically put a radio in the M12 bluetooth speaker.
Favourite 8-Track: Willie Nelson's Red Headed Stranger.
Hey yo Vince, this is absolutely one of your hilarious classic videos, it's so funny when you just ad lib everything 😂👊
Can VCG construction make another video about all brand jobsite radio speaker? Which one is the best? Is Bosch is the best??
I’ll see what we can work up
250,000 subscribers! Congrats!
Thanks Pandre!
Favorite 8 Track was Tony Orlando and Dawn.
Favorite 8 track, Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. We used to listen to it in an hour commute every day. My mom got so sick of it she threw it out the window!
Love seeing that xtr impact in the background. Team blue coming hard. People starting to respect that kobalt xtr line....
My was Dark side of the moon I also had a reel to reel best sound ever
Hey vince in another video you said you didn’t like the m12 charger. I’m all m12. What don’t u line about it? Seems to work ok. ???
Thanks for the unboxing Vince, I preordered the M12 and it’s on its way. I don’t feel disappointed after watching this. Keep doing it dog, good stuff.
Stone temple pilots-Core album on cassette 🤘🏼burned that tape up from jamming it so many times.

I just bought the m12 radio yesterday is amazing sound
Does this have pretty good bass punch to it?Its really hard to tell a speakers sound quality over another speaker.
Does this m12 speaker sound pretty loud , can you compare it to another spear loudness and clarity wise.
I dont know which other speaker to compare it to but yes it is very loud and the sound quality and clarity are amazing
Can you compare to other job site speakers or radios sound quality wise?
I am between the m12 and m12/18 speaker. I have dewalt as an option as well?
How long does the battry.charge last how many hours
I’ve got the M18 jobsite radio charger. I’m think about switching because it’s a beast and I’ve got plenty of M12 tools. Can you hook it up to the big radio?
There's an equalizer on it as well .. we'll bass n treble adjustments
It sounds great especially the Bluetooth and my iPhone
Allman Brother Band on 8 track. Wore it out on my mini 8 player installed on my 1969 Pontiac GTO...
I recently ordered the new m12 radio with 2/ 4.0 ah XX batteries a charger and a bag for 179.00
You crazy Vince! Love the video
I planned to return it till I discovered the equalizer. Now I’m keeping it
I got the dcr025 because of the nice features but this thing is less portable so I got this one yesterday and damn Its loud enough, mabye not the best sound in town but its very loud for a small pool party or to finish my basement

Does the radio work when using only the power cord?
Great video, good mixture of sarcasm & informative .
I never had 8 tracks, but if i did, Pink Floyd’s the wall is an amazing pick. Sold me for your channel with that one
Want to grab one of the smaller radios but I'm too cheap. Got my ten year old one still kicking haha.
Just picked this bad mamajama up yesterday at the depot!

No trouble smashin 👍button when it comes to reviews...appreciate it updates. Love it for quick small area repair jobs.
M12 radio charger is my preference and yes had 8-tracks but not in my cars
Sounds very good for a smaller radio
Hey guys, does this radio come as a DAB radio (digital radio) we ha e that in UK, you get 100+ radio stations
I have the older M12 radio that doesn't have Bluetooth. Time to step up my game.
Still waiting for them to fix the collet so I could get that impact lol
Any idea when either of those radios will be available in Aus?
the fact that you are obsessed with milwaukee and expensive knives makes me so damn happy. PLEASE DO SOME KNIFE REVIEWS P.S love the yojimbo
Battery charging battery is only capable of so much. Otherwise if you don't require alot of distance and it's not a party, this M12 would be good enough for around the yard and garage I say. Does the battery get stuck on the radio, difficult to come off?
I find all m12 batteries are hard to remove.
I'm always going place to place on the job site, so the m12 radio will be my go too.

8 track in the car and at home! Favorite was kiss destroyer
Had Micheal Jackson Thriller on 8 track. Probably the best one I had.
I still have a 8 track along with my record player home entertainment system as well as a small portable radio that has 8 track that plugs into the end of it, its sweet. Fav one I have has got to be Hank Williams greatest hits
Nice! Thanks for the review Vince
had an 8 track stereo in the garage, Dire Staits was my all time favorite.
How can I not SMASH that like button when you ask like that. Thanks for the video. Would love to get one of their radios.
eagles greatest hits: had it on vinyl, 8 track, cassette, cd, and mp3 download.
I had an 8 track in my first car - of course if it got too hot it would melt the tapes!
Love the videos man keep it up!!
Can you do a review on the dewalt Bluetooth speakers someday? Compare in quality and price
Great little radio 📻! Sounds good 😃
I've got the M12. It's a good portable radio
Had the huge floor model with 8 track/LP/tuner Dr Hook was my favorite.
I got the "Big Boi" Vince.
Also got the little M12 USB Charger to get "Full Service" Charging.
10/10/22
Update:
Got that M12 Radio Charger and I love it.
Especially since I downsized my "Dailey Travler" Kit.
All M12 Tools 1 Packout Toolbag. Neat!
The 8 track was the home version of the Cart (cartridge) system used in radio stations
The Floyd on 8 track. You just moved up in my book Vince. That's good stuff right there
The fart noise at the sticker part killed me
ASMR👂🏽👀
Got mine on pre order baby
it would’ve been cool to link multiple of these together to play the same thing in different areas
