I feel like Coach Brown will/should keep Ellis as the starting 2 to provide some balance on defense since Demar, Fox, and to some extent Keegan will be more focused on providing offensive firepower. But Monk or Heurter would of course be even more offensively powerful

Also agree with other comment DD is NOT a defensive downgrade from HB in the slightest. HB 2” taller sure but HB was one of our worst by a long shot with only occasional times of solid D

i haven't heard the 02 kings comparison yet, but i know they aren't the same. the way those 02 kings passed the ball was almost supernatural. i've never seen a team with that kind of collective consciousness.

Honestly what we learned from the Knicks game is that "defensive" teams do a lot of reaching, grabbing, n bumping. N they just try n see what they can get away with. Difference is they know exactly what they are doing. While poor defensive teams are kinda just complaining why certain things are allowed one way or another.

  • @reptilexcq2

I bet on DeRozan's defense more than Barnes. You mentioned Huerter's one on one defense as being atrocious, so is Barnes. I seen Barnes getting isolated by the other team and at time letting his man drove pass him toward the basket because he has horrible reaction to what the other guy is doing and as a result, constantly putting the Kings in trouble. Barnes defense anticipation is probably one of the worst in the league, never mind about his height and inability to intimidate even despite staying in front of the guy. I see DeRozan being more solid due to quick reaction and higher IQ. As for offense, I am sure he will help stabilize an explosive offense that sometimes couldn't get anything going or sometimes need a break in momentum....that's when you can rely and go to him. Or when Fox need a breather....you can only rely on Monk and Sabonis for offense. But at least now, you have another option in DeRozan. Let's see how everything play out...

Dmar and fox are ball dominant but I don't think fox mine's too much really at all to give the ball up and let someone work. Theres so many times where he gave the ball to monk and he'll go on the side and let monk do what he needs to do.

I wouldn’t say Fox going away from midrange hurt that much considering he was one of the best shooters on the team on volume when our SGs were failing us and even Keegan at times but would love to see more middy and more C&S and we definitely will. Though obviously he was probably top 5-10 in pullups too

    Long time Bulls fan here.
The problem you King's fans are gonna find out is that Demar slows down the game so much Kings' aren't gonna be able to run their sets. No matter what, ball is gonna stop once it hit Demars hands. Donovan tried playing faster but it was impossible w Demar on the Bulls team. Demar needs to dribble dribble dribble before takinga shot. He's not catch and shoot or come off a screen and shoot guy.
    You'll see.....

If you’re raising the pot here with your car keys to get us that much more excited about this lineup you could at least edit in some plays. Back in my day (I’m 39 and yes this whole thing is a joke) we at least had a working Web 2.0 “ link “ to the videos. I think the comparison is a good one except for peja vs. keegan. Peja was no bum on defense. I would take peja over keegan in pretty much every aspect of the game. If peja played in 2024 he would be considered one of the best wings in the league, and let’s not act like keegan is quite there yet
