I regularly use silicone lubricant on my MinnKota Ulterra shaft and it helps tremendously in any binding or problems deploying. I’m getting the same Talon only 15’ that you have I love the silver !

Yeah im watching a shit ton of videos on talons i want to buy a pair of used 15s and it looks like a marine grade silicone, with if your using weekly than weekly deep cleans and ensuring you try and clean the spike before leaving muddy areas.
Has anyone thought of doing ceramic type coating, hell a coat of wax? I know i do it on my poles to keep them good against salt water. I would imagine the coating would help keep it clean.

That would obviously depend on how frequently you use the Talons. But for me, using them pretty frequently, it lasted me an entire season.
