A grail in my opinion is a 1 of 1 item that nobody else can get.
JLA/Avengers absolute is the grail of grails to me.

The Flash 139 is by far mine. The Flash show helped bring me into reading comics regularly, and that first season was just something special as far as I’m concerned.
Damn, there were so many great ones listed here. Also, that was my Daredevil statue you reviewed. I love that statue!
Being that a grail piece is something that is personal, hard to get and was a sacrifice to obtain. There were a couple of statues that I used to own that I lost because of a divorce that I consider grail but were unjustly taken from me.

Back in ‘78, my first grail was a Giant-Size Edition Star Wars: Eps. IV ANH comic book. Creature Features promo’d Marvel and DC Comics Spider-Man vs Superman Giant-Size. A CGC high grade is pricier. And Alex Ross’ The Original Seven art print (framed), I’m looking for. A lot of grails out there 💎. Stay minty fresh.
I think the hardest piece to replace for me would be M Bison on Throne.
Quarter scale Luis Royo Fantasy Figure Gallery statues by DC Yamato- extremely rare to find on the aftermarkets - have to dive deep in the community message boards. I've got Medusa's Gaze and Ritual.
Amazing Spanish gothic fantasy artist, a huge selection of paintings used in many magazines and I believe some card series as well (Magic the Gathering) and some were commissioned into statues often with limited 500 or less ES.
My grail that i personally own is tied between
Batman 227 cgc 8.5 and my FF 48 FN.
But my grail period is a Batman 1.

Original first X-Men movie onscreen set pieces, original armoire, round bathroom mirror, bed headboard, lamps and rugs from Wolverine’s bedroom.

@@GemMintCollectibles if you watch the original X-Men movie you can see the furniture pieces prominently with Storm by the armoire / mirror and the bed headboard where Wolverine wakes up and snikts Rogue in the chest.
The “I wanna eat your brains Spider-Man” talking Venom in the box. And Punisher 1.
And the first comic I ever read at my buddies Nick’s house at his 7th grade b-day party. Spider-Man vs Wolverine which is what hooked me for years.
Oh and my original Vultron, my original Burgertime cartridge for intellivision, and to relive one day before 2020 for one more ride…

For me a it’s a combo. mint PCS Lion-O and Mumm-Ra. Can hardly find the statues but finding them mint is near impossible.
Appreciate what you said about my David mack piece. You mentioned he created echo. But if you go back to the beginning of his career his first work was a title called kabuki. I've always loved it and that's where I got her name. He loved that and that she was a service dog. Maybe check out the series think the image gn are still easy to find at a decent price.
My grail as a collector would be a lineup of 5+ pinball machines. Still working on number one but I’m focused on making it happen over time.

I've got a large Metal Gear Solid tattoo with a space that was left specifically for (Hideo) Kojima to write his own signature, which he graciously did back in 2012.
Got the signature tattooed over the top the same day.
Grail dream would be to have Yoji Shinkawa personally add to the piece, do custom artwork to be added to the piece or at the very least have him approve the artwork and sign to be tattooed aswell. (Main artist for MGS and most other Kojima projects)

For me it’s Prime 1 studios The Dark Knight Returns statue. It’s the first statue I was very impressed with when I started this hobby. I love the story line. This piece was sold out when I started collecting. …plus at the time it was way out of my price range.
My Sliver Surfer Black #1 signed by Donny Cates w/certificate of authenticity. And my Red Hulk Saga in trade form, it took 2 years and lots of searching to collect them all. At the time, they were crazy hard to find.

Prime 1 Guyver 1 statue. I was on the preorder list but missed my email for the funding process when it became available. To this day I kick myself and I look at amazon and other places to this day that might have it.

Honestly by definition the thing I want most isn’t a grail because it is still pretty attainable. I want the ECC 1/3 Faun from Pan’s Labyrinth and the bust companion piece. I guess if I had to go for something else it would be a Transformers number 1 signed by Peter Cullen and Frank Welker.
Oh and an original 3dr ford sierra cosworth. Literal heaven!!

Comic book grails for me - New Mutants 98, NYX 3, Star Wars 1... do those count as grails? 2 years ago I had Simon Bisley draw a Chris Cornell "King Animal" in the form of Lord Tyler from FAKK 2. That's gotta be my favorite piece in my collection.
The original Max Factory Guyver figures. Those things still go for $400-$500 each!

My grail is Prime1 Femto, it’s the statue that got me interested in statues & figures, as soon as I seen it I thought it was the coolest thing I ever seen. I then started watching videos and then bought my first Collectables.
But now there’s a bunch of PVC’s I want, all have tripled in price, all $300 - $700 for small 1/7 scales.
That statue is what sealed the deal for me to get into Berserk

Hey, Gem Mint! Any chance you can do an overview of CrossGen's "Sigil" Omnibus published by Marvel? CrossGen was my favorite comic company and I'm hoping Marvel publishes the entire line in omnibus form. "Sigil" was an awesome space opera written by Chuck Dixon that ran for 43 issues and was part of an interconnected universe. If channels like yours get the word out to viewers, it might encourage Marvel to continue publishing the other titles which were each in a different genre. I guess that's my grail.
The “Painfully Limited” edition of From Hell. Only 17 ever produced. It’s impossible acquire so I’d settle for the XM Studios Ghost Rider statue.

not really a grail, not sure if i have anything worthy but got a incredible hulk 330 signed (first todd mcfarlane marvel cover) and got a cool story out of him about how they rejected it the first time he sent it in saying it wasn't dynamic enough.

I carried around a possible grail since I was a kid in the early 70's a Batman 227 my brother got bored with it and gave it to me. It's a little rough maybe a 4.0 but It's been it the family since new. I started collecting around 2007/2008 and was picking up comics kind'a cheap then! Those were the days!!
