Salam brother,
I am a muslim myself but I was talking to a friend of mine who is not muslim. I told him that everything needs a origin and he said if u assume everything has an origin, why cant origin have an origin? If we assume origin can exist on its own, why cant we assume that about other things?
Could you please guide me on how to answer him? Or where would be the best place to ask such a question? Is there any video of you explaining something similar? Anyone else who reads the question can answer too if they know about it.

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatu Allahi Wa Barakatuh.
The question of ''who created God?" (Or ''what caused what?") itself is illogical, because God by definition is uncreated, He has no beginning, and He can't be God if He's created.
But let's deal with this question logically :
If we keep on investigating ''Who created who?", we will end up with an infinite chain which is absurd, if there is an infinite chain then this universe won't have the chance to exist but it exists, therefore there is an origin without a cause (uncaused origin), and that's God who doesn't have a beginning and He is eternal.

@@umerqr we cant believe that cause its unlogical to have two or more things that exist with an uncoused origin and has their will and are all powerful because we see that everything in the universe is designed with a program and laws that are precise and special for life of the creatures. İf we have tow or more Gods that are not depended in anything and are all powerfull than surely they would be differences in the way they want the creation to be done or in anything . One of them says I will create paradise and planets one says no I will create smth else and I will create humans without legs they will all crumble and they will eat only things with bad smell and taste so who is gonna win now, right so are they gonna have a fight now 😅 of course not cause there not such a thing it can be only one Creater who is not depended in any thing and all thing depend on him . He says be and it is . And he is All Wise and All Merciful. May Allah swt guide us and keep us steadfast in his path. Amin

“Whoever glorifies Allah (says Subhan Allah ) thirty-three times immediately after each prayer, and praises Allah (says Al-hamdu Lillah) thirty-three times, and magnifies Allah (says Allahu akbar) thirty-three times, this makes ninety-nine, then to complete one hundred says La ilaha ill-Allah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shayin qadir (There is no god except Allah Alone, with no partner, His is the power and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things) his sins will be forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea.” (Reported by Muslim, 939).
Before Sleep
hadith of ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that Fatimah (upon whom be peace) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and asked him for a servant. He said, “Shall I not tell you of something that is better for you than that? When you go to sleep, say Subhan Allah thirty-three times, Al-hamdu Lillah thirty-three times, and Allahu akbar thirty four times.” (Reported by al-Bukhari, 4943)

People always ask about the Evil that God has allowed to exist, but they never ask about the Good that God also has allowed to exist. Yes, Evil is there and it affects our lives, but what about Good and good things? Love from a parent, good children, good health, constructive friendships, beautiful sceneries, and so many other blessings? I pray we can all be more conscious of the Good that's around us and be grateful to Allah.
One can argue there is more good than evil and evil is only very small also u can’t know good unless u face evil

4 Promises of ALLAH ﷻAs Mentioned in The Quran
1. Remember ME, I will remember you.
2. Forgiveness: Allahﷻ will not punish them while they seek forgiveness.
3. Compassion: If you are grateful, I will surely increase you.
4. Response: Call upon me and I will answer you.
Allahﷻ Says in Surah Al- Bani Israel, verse 105: “We sent down the Quran in Truth, and in Truth has it descended: and we sent thee but to give Glad Tidings and to warn (mankind).
#1.Remembrance
ALLAH ﷻsays in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 152:
“So, remember me, I will remember you.”
Here Allahﷻ promises His slave, that if the slave will remember his Creator, then Almighty creator would also remember him.
#2.Forgiveness
From the first human to walk the surface of the earth to their progeny we are all prone to sin and as such we are all sinners. If Allahﷻ were to judge us for our sins, then none of us will make it to Jannah. But the mercy of Allahﷻ is totally amazing. For as long as you repent your sins and seek forgiveness from Allahﷻ for your intentional and unintentional sins Allah سبحانه و تعالى will forgive your sins. He said in the Quran Sura Al- Anfal verse 33:
“And Allahﷻ will not punish them while they seek forgiveness.”
#3.Compassion
on a daily basis, we are faced with difficulty and challenges and we complain and wonder when it’s all going to end? The compassion of Allahﷻ for his slaves cannot even be compared to that between a mother and her child. Allahﷻ said in Surat Al-Ibrahim verse 7 that:
“If you are grateful, I will surely increase you”
#4.Response
Often, we are faced with challenges and we start to question why such trials are on us. Why would Allahﷻ not come to my aid? Am I being punished for my sins? But Allah ﷻtests us in many ways and often because He wants us to come closer to Him.
Allahﷻ wants us to call upon Him. He wants us to put forward our request, He likes listening to us. Of course, He is the mighty Lord, and He can do whatever He wishes. But He wants those words of request to be uttered from our very own lips. And if you call Him, there is one thing He promises, HE WOULD RESPOND.
“Call upon me and I will answer you.” (Q40v60)

Islam is our compass in this life , Alhamdulillah that we did not have to be so lost without perfecting our aqeeda and solid monotheism, It was our safe guard against all these conflicting theories.
I have watched about 5 videos on the Islamic answer to the problem of evil. This argument seems to be the most common. We have this argument too in Christianity. The argument is better described as the problem of suffering. In Romans 8:28 it states all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose for instance. Many other verses that state this clearly. I think Muhammad Ali misses the point about the Cross. In our theology, God not only reigns over human suffering but he paradoxically entered to it through His life, ministry, and death. So in essence God (in the person of Isa/Jesus) suffered and died on the Cross. Isaiah 53 predicts that this suffering would occur, and commentary on how this suffering of God affects our relationship to God in Hebrews. This suffering makes me all the bolder in answering this objection as we serve a God who has suffered and so is intimately acquainted with our suffering. Thank you for the excellent video.
According to Abu Hurayrah (RA), the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said "There are two sentences that are light on the tongue, heavy on the scales (the reward), lovely to the Merciful: Subhanálláhi wa bihamdihi, subhanaIlahil 'adhim." (Muttafaq 'Alayhi.')
