I bought this back in 1990. It's one of those album that never sounds dated. In fact it matures with age. JCauty thank you. Your legacy includes this masterpiece.
I kid you not, the last three times I flew from Australia to the UK, the programme was to polish off a meal, ask for a triple scotch, bosh a prescribed tamazepam, then settled into this and Chill Out on repeat... kept on drifting in and out of sleep with this as my wake up music... THE answer to those long hauls!
I had both this and Chill out on vinyl back in the early 90s. Audio -assist to some incredible and essential acid trips in my youth! Really wish I still had them however this revamp is perfect listening while lay in bed with a broken leg full of meds 🪐!
That was a journey a Acoustic auditory adventure trip through space and time ,a cruise a boat trip through jungles war and peace, work of art enjoyed thank you from the UK
Have listened to it many times but only now 've discovered how samples are used according to the planets - like opera samples on Venus and military samples on Mars, etc. Nicely done indeed.
HAHAHA Brilliant - "Cauty has called Space "a record for 14-year-old space cadets to go and take acid [to] for the first time" ". - Yep, that was me.... A timeless journey I will never forget. Exactly the reason why I'm here now... :)
I have the original on vinyl, here’s a bit of background for those who are interested. Jimmy Caulty (KLF) was making an album with Alex Patterson (The Orb) which was intended to be the Orbs first album. However Jimmy and Alex fell out during the process so Jimmy removed all of Alex’s contributions and what we were left with is this..... still sounds great all these years later
Slightly incorrect, they didn't fall out. Alex was simply approached by BIG LIFE records to sign his first lp. He decided in discussions with Jimmy to take his half of the lp to expand it further. Those recordings are the song that samples Minnie Ripertons Loving you and also the basic Fluffy clouds pre mix.. Overall around 15 to 20 mins total of music.
Well it is the main music man of the klf. Bill was the ideas and lyrics man mainly. Jimmy Cauty used to be a musician at Stock Aitken and Watermans studios. He was part of the short lived band Brilliant on the S.A.W label.
This is something I looked for in the 90s and could never find it. Thanks for posting this. It's as great as I dared to imagine.
God bless RUclips! And God bless KLF!!

Anyone else sense the presence of the KLF

@@bubcentral23 appreciate the heads up. My music senses are the only senses that make sense, that make sense?
Would love to know what synthesizer was used on Jupiter 14mins in. The deeper sustained bending sound. Lovely and curious
The flac link is dead 😞
Fixed, thanks for notifying me!
No still not there
Ah, RUclips didn't update the description. It should be working now.
