Loved the Bulleid "Spam Can", my favourite locomotive, on the Lickey Bank.
This area must have been an enthusiasts paradise.
Us lads used to cycle out from Bournville to train spot there. I may even have been in the photos, but I doubt it.
Where I lived, steam had been replaced by DMU's in 1957, very rarely did I see steam passing by. 😢
