hey btw the bypassing reload doesnt work I thought this to however if you unload the mag after changing the ammo in the wheel you'll have the ammo that was already loaded
I didn't realize that people who never played older stalker games don't know how to use basic detector. 😀 What I don't like is that binoculars and night visions are completely missing.
It's not even necessary. It's basic common sense. Plus THERE'S A FUCKING TUTORIAL THAT TEACHES YOU THIS SHIT. Your first artifact is slug in the prologue.
It's actually worth dumping broken weapons in the storage box, you can sell them to a trader called Ragman in Rostok. A box is nearby at the bed and you can get some easy money selling him junk guns.
i imagine the issue is carry weight there, lug an inventory full of broken guns back to your stash all the time for a small amount of currency or just take the ammo and drop them and kill more spawns
@@joshk5436I actually use The Sledgehammer, which you get after defeating Tyrant in arena. It’s so powerful even armoured enemies have trouble standing up after first shot
You were talking about stealth. Your light was on the whole time. Enemies can spot you from much much further away when your flashlight is on. Ive had groups of enemies walk past me with my light off.
This is a theory. This is how its MEANT to work, but it doesn't work properly as of yet. You can test it yourself as many people have. Various mods are trying to enable it or figure out why it isn't working, even mods that rework the whole stealth mechanics can't seem to get it to function as intended yet.
@@Astrosive a couple other stealth tips - 1 - there is a Walk button which slows you down, but you can also Walk while Crouching, which slows your movement speed further and makes you even less noticeable than just crouching 2 - You can see how noticeable you are on your compass, it's the blue part of the bar (as long as you are not in combat), if you hold totally still it should be plain white, the more noticeable you are, the bigger the blue portion becomes 3 - The white arrows that show up when you are trying to sneak point to enemies that can spot you. The bigger the arrow, the closer they are to spotting you. If it gets very big, then blinks a couple times and disappears, you have been spotted.
The stealth mechanic is in the game. It is not bugged. The small blue bar under the compass indicates noise. Stealth is also heavily impacted based on night/day and weather. If you really want to truly be stealthy do a mission on a stormy night.
except it is......first area where you take out some guys at a building for the guy who helps you in the start, if you kill one of them with a stealth knife kill the WHOLE camp knows where you are instantly. yes lights off and crouch walk in dark is needed but still, these enemies have insane vision.
No, there is no stealth mechanic. Those are parts of it sure, but you're still way too easily seen and the detection can be seen through walls and from way too far away.
Stealth is also affected by your weight if you are red weight your so heavy and therefore noisy that every enemy within 50 meters automatically knows where you are also if you walk up to loot a enemy and it disappeared you are under psi attack and losing your mind it's part of the game annoying but not a broken spawn
When you run into a bloodsucker, find something in the area to jump on top of. I've noticed that enemies will run away and hide behind something when you do. If you can manage to see where the bloodsucker ran off to, you can easily spot a part of his body sticking out from behind cover to shoot and it won't move after being shot.
Yup, works for everything but Snorks.. also bloodsuckers often run the same pattern so you can spot where they will run past on your high ground position and blast them with the shotgun without damage.. and often they spawn 2 at a time, not just the one..
Jump on crates and bloodsuckers won't be able to attack you. If you're caught in the open, crouch so you're aiming straight at it's face because it's crouching when attacking Burers can't take your pistol away Controllers are almost unable to defend themselves if you get up close to them
Also another tip is you can easily sidestep bloodsucks if u hold A or D and look at them while theyre charging you. Or do a short sprint with SHIFT+W and A or D.
"jump on crates for bloodsuckers so they cant attack you" but you neither since they will go away and come back only once you drop back down like any other mutants so only good if you got to heal, crouch to counter burers snatching weapons out of your hands dsnt work might be a bug on your side (not sure I understood that one right though), controllers nearly one shot you at melee while wearing "intermediate" armor at least (like the PSZ line of armor for exemple )
For the bloodsuckers, if you wanna get a bit gamey, they tend to be restricted to a specific area that they can't leave, both for random spawns and for specific spawns like the lab in the garbage. If you can figure out where that invisible line is, then you're able to step across it, get them to charge you, and then fall back across it and they'll fall back. If it's in a wide open area, they'll run off aways and wait for you to come back in the zone. If you have LoS of them while they're waiting for you, they won't react to being shot. But that's only if you're trying to kill them, like Astrosive said, it's usually not worth it unless you have to get past them.
U can literally run into them to bait their attack and make them miss every time. Basically u play chicken with em. Find the blur run straight at it and side step right b4 impact they will always miss their swipe and u can 180 shotgun blast away. It's very ez to do. I hated these guys with a passion till I figured this out. Never run away always run towards em. Other than that use the environment. Most mutants are vertically challenged.
I think it depends on certain bloodsuckers because I ran into one the other day that literally chased me across the map I thought I had lost it and then it found me hiding in a bus and circled me So it just depends on the specific Bloodsucker!
I would normally believe this except that I had 2 bloodsuckers chase me from one side of yaniv to the other while I was hauling 12 guns to station… lol
I took the Drowned weapon that the dude dropped in the river. Best decision ever. AKM-74S with UBGL and fast mags. Add a suppressor and you’ve got a monster.
I have about 70 hours in on Xbox, here are a few other tips. - Turn off the flashlight when you don't need it. It makes you harder to spot - When traveling long distances switch to you're detector. I came across artefacts on locations I would not have expected - Let enemies fight each other or mutants. It saves a lot of ammo. - Use the map marker to create a path when travelling, it is much easier to plan ahead instead if just walking in a straight line towards the mission - You can play most of the game with only a handful of med kits and bandages, dump or sell the rest - Use bandages to restore health even when you are not bleeding. You find much more bandages than med kits during missions
Just wanna correct some mistakes and give some advice on some of the points you made, no animosity tho, it's great to see veterans prepping rookies for the Zone. When it comes to the first detector, and almost all the basic ones.. they only detect artifacts and nothing more, if it doesn't beep, it means there's nothing there, if it does, it's signaling that an artifact is nearby. In regards to putting the artifacts on your belt (containers) I would strongly advise not to put any until an artifact with maximum radiation negation is found, I'll elaborate, the buff you get from the ones which have weak radiation is not that substantial and won't be of much help, not to mention that you can easily forget to negate the radiation especially during a fight, and wasting anti-rad and getting drunk by vodka is in my opinion totally unnecessary. So in summary, just withhold from using artifacts with minimal buffs and rad poisoning until you find one that eliminates rad poisoning. Btw this is coming from a veteran as well who has many hours on all the previous entries, good hunting Stalkers ☢️ P.S. Always have a shotgun on your person, a l w a y s
@@edgarasstonys1928 yes of course but i mostly meant it in regards to early game. After you leave the lesser zone your chances for acquiring a rad negating artifact become much higher, just seek out some designated anomalous areas, the ones with question marks above them or the ones youve already been to, chances are artifacts spawn again after a few in-game days
To add onto this, the different beeps you hear are from two different kinds of devices. By default you have an "anomaly detector" which is just always active, you don't have to do anything to enable this or equip a specific thing. This is the gradual beep you hear when you approach any kind of anomalous activity. The intervals between beeps become shorter the closer you are to touching an anomaly. You will hear this beep whether you have a detector out or not. As already mentioned, the detectors you can hold in your hand are only for uncovering artifacts. Artifacts will not appear if you do not have a detector out. I'm not sure if STALKER 2 has this particular mechanic, but in Call of Pripyat each detector also changed which artifacts you were likely to find. A particular anomaly field may have a chance to spawn a really good, rare artifact, but this would only ever appear for you if you happened to sweep it with a very late game detector. If you tried to find artifacts here with a lower-tier detector, you'd only find the more common artifacts it can spawn. Another mechanic in Call of Pripyat is emissions would reset anomalies. It would regenerate loot tables for artifacts, and also shift the positions of all anomalies in the entire area, even ones that weren't part of an anomaly field itself. This meant the best time to hunt for artifacts was always immediately following an emission. You wouldn't be able to navigate it with the same path as last time since the positions of everything have changed. But it will be a fresh field with artifacts to loot. If you wait around too long other NPCs will for sure loot it before you do. But again, none of this may even be present in STALKER 2 so take this with a grain of salt.
As a veteran S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I had NO IDEA that the first slot was in a case, and not only did I not bother to equip artifacts until I found an anti rad artifact, I also put the anti rad artifact in the first slot. Wow, man, thank you.
its the first 2-3 slots depending on what science suit you have on too EG the survey suit has 2 containers and you can upgrade it for a 3rd container despite it having max Artifact slots, so this means you put your max anti rad on last and throw the 3 ones you want on that give you radiation on the first 3 slots preventing any radiation from leaking out
Since this was posted 4 days ago I'm sure you've figured it out, but in case you haven't, there's specifically suit upgrades called "lead lined artifact container" which will make it so the radiation from an artifact doesn't affect you. The lead lined slots will always have the green on them so you know which ones you can safely put artifacts in without needing to worry about radiation.
Fun Fact about the stealth camp achievement: I got mine because I used a grenade on a swarm of rats in one of the sewer stash locations in the Lesser Zone. I just stood at the top of the ladder and dropped it down the concrete manhole lol - absolutely a buggy mess but I love this game lol
Big tip. Make one of the factions like you a lot to get the vendor discounts. I went to repair my armor at a neutral vendor and it was going to cost $78k. I went to a faction that i have maxed affinity with and it cost me $53k. It is literally cheaper for me to have a guide take me to the faction I'm in good with to repair my stuff there and then travel back. Also getting more money out of sales is nice. I would also HIGHLY recommend using any shotgun with slugs in the later game. They can one shot most humanoid enemies with a head shot. It's much more cost effective on ammo this way and the TOZ specifically costs next to nothing to repair. Also, the UDP compact and deadeye both do the same amount of dmg as the akm-74s and the ammo is a little cheaper. Only by $3 but every penny counts in this game when the repair costs are as outrageous as they are. They're also cheaper to repair. I don't even bother using weapons like the ar416. It takes like 15 rounds to kill one late game enemy and they cost $35 each. That's $325 per enemy when i could just use the 860 or TOZ shotguns and 1-2 shot them with headshots. That or use the UDP compact which does more dmg and costs less per bullet. Granted the range isn't as good but I can't see most of the enemies beyond the point that dmg drop off would even matter.
Stop selling ammo. I grab every ammo box I can carry and store it in the stash. This way I can keep an upgraded AR416 with a stack of armor piercing for story missions and larger compound fights. It’s an expensive and heavy gun, but it’s good when upgraded and using AP. I keep a gun for every ammo type in my box whenever I run low on ammo for a gun or I just can’t afford to fix, it’s as easy as swap and go.
For me, the most advisable thing for new people is to go to the cordon, which is the area below to the right of the smaller area at the Lokomotyv Vehicle Station. There you can find a spas-12 in good condition.
That's a very bad advice.. SPAS 12 is an extremely hard weapon to maintain. New player will suffer with trying to repair SPAS. Just slightly upgraded SPAS eats up to 10,000k just for 15% integrity damage. That's a trap for noobs.
@@MrZlocktar its fiiine, if you know how to aim then gun integrity is never a problem and you ll have to get better gear that needs more money to maintain them sooner or later anyway, also if you go to cordon it means that you are doing secondary quests as well witch means that you are making money on the way there so its all fine
2:30 it only works if you upgrade the slots with a Lead lined container. The green bar at the bottom indicates which ones are lead lined containers. Only some armours have those. Some have multiple.
There is a special pump shotgun you get from a mission, and 6-8 rounds drops a bloodsucker from full. Up until that point it's almost better to just run to save durability and ammo, or bait to any nearby friendlies if possible.
@@sluggerbutter you HAVE to sprint past it to a bunker at the place, so drop how mucj ammo and stuff you have, and sprint fast with alot of water bottles and energy drinks
For PC, when looting weapons for ammo, if it's in yours/their inventory you can press G while hovering the weapon to u load them. No need to right click unload
Holy shit you absolute spastics, it says under the inventory box press g to unload, what the fuck is wrong is with people. I CANT BELIEVE 3 IDIOTS NEEDED TO BE TOLD THIS, OPEN YOUR EYES AND READ CUNT
Best way to farm artifacts is have the spots saved with a mark and always go to them after emision, it always respawns them and sometimes it might respawn even the legendary altered artifacts, the green artifact slot in armor is an upgraded slot that allows u to equip artifacts and suffer no radiation from them, there are multiple low tier artifacts that counter radiation that you can stack until u get maximum effect even.
Artifact detector doesn't react to anomalies at all. Anomaly detector beeps all the time, you don't need to have an artifact detector for that. Artifact detector only reacts to artifacts.
Another tip for emissions, your hud(the compas at the top) will automatically change and show you your destination to the closest shelter you can take cover in, just be in mind of being overweight as this can sometimes be 100+meters away, but the game does help you in that aspect, just remember to reselect your main mission once your safe during the emission when your bunkered down or after it Also br in mind that all AI will try to seek shelter from emissions, this includes hostile enemies so you may encounter some when you also seek shelter
The swamp emission is game over though, no warning about it starting, and the second you notice you need to run as fast as you can and ignore everything. I fought a certain enemy during it, and after I killed it, 25 seconds later the damage tick started making it impossible to survive, and every building in the swamp doesn’t count as shelter. Pain
@@krustymckrab1747 I'm the same homie, if you see a tunnel you can use that to protect yourself as well so its handy to take notes of what sites have underground facilities in them when out exploring, cause you might be able to escape using that instead of where its showing you
@@CardinalCake so unfortunately the quest doesn't tell you this but the best way to pass that is just to run, so i know a lot of people want to horde weapons to sell(i do it a lot myself) but its just better when your traveling through the swamp to stay green or atleast Low yellows with lots of energy drinks, Don't fight it just run and jump over the water puddles, once you pass that hut and run past i believe the emission stops or you enter a safe zone pretty early on? i can't remember too much as i've already finished the game but yeah i had similar issues, im surprised you managed to kill it, already one upped me in that aspect HAHAHA
Spoilers(probably?)for those who wonder which settlement this frien is talking about It’s rostok. Head West of the garbage base into the chemical plant area, and you can find it. You’ll most likely encounter at least 2 bloodsuckers and 1 poltergeist on the way, so be prepared!
@@rawnukles just use the money glitch, the economy seems like thats what is intended anyway since repairs are insane....and a 1200 coupon mission that cost 12k in repairs just isnt happening for me if I want to upgrade new guns and armor I find so I have really started to only keep perfect guns/gear and artifacts for selling otherwise im just making trips back and forth to a merchant every hour or 2 and its annoying af.
Privet Boxes will be marked as soon as you discover them. Also thanks for the tips, RAGMAN buys broken (RED) armor and weapons. He doesn't pay much but if you have a decked out but ruined weapon that you'll not use he can actually pay a decent chunk. (becouse of the installed weapon mods)
Not sure if its a bug but you need to have a weapon equipped to add the attachment to it at which point you can just drag the attachment onto the weapon slot.
If you struggle with putting sights or silencers on weapon then equip that weapon in inventory screen and drag mod on it/right click on it end select right option. Also, if you walk slowly through glass shards anomaly it won't hurt you. Another one: when you're in undeground lab in factory (garbage) and lightning ball keeps chasing and killing you, just unequip all of your artifacts, then it will stop noticing you.
@markgilmore8136 if you don't believe me just try and you will see:) We are talking about ball of lightning in lab under factory guarded by the Ward, I am not sure about rest of the game though.
@@przemeklewandowski7476 I know I just finished that mission before I had to go to college and I kept almost dying and I ended up reloading a couple saves because I lost quite a few medkits trying to find everything down there… wasn’t much. Kinda sad now
Listen rookie. Artefacts aren't completely random, there are specific locations where they spawn. After you take the artifact from the spawn location, a new one will spawn after emission. Remember where you found an artefact with a scanner and return there after emission. What type of Artefact will spawn is random within the category of anomaly, you can save about 50-100 meters from that location to gamble with the RNG gods.
1. All anomalies has a trick to them to get past safely 2. To get rep, do side missons, most of them u get from a base leader or the barkeeper. 3. Drowned ak does not need to repair. So unless prices change its the most op in my opinion. 4. Dont upgrade armor except wear and tear early on. 5. A wellplaced shotgun hit on a stealthed bloodsucker will stop him from charging u. 6. Shotguns are amazing!! 7. Russian wepaons seems to be a tad better overall compared to their eu/us counterparts. Except from named weps ofc. 8. Dont use a flashlight if u wanna stealth... are u stoopid? 9. Named weapons and unique anomalies might have effects/stats that are hidden and u need to read the description of said item to see what it does. 10. Just run from mutants unless u have to kill them. No loot.m abd super tanky. 11. U can get a good amount of money from hoarding meds, food, drinks and bullets instead of whole guns.
@@JB-xm1cs use it. but no repairs needed. it might jam once or twice but it's like using a gun at atleast 95% dura even when its broken. Txt on items have actual effect. read it ;)
Sleeping is more than just skipping nighttime. If you play for long enough without sleeping you start get tired. I'm not sure what actual malus this gives you but I felt like there was a bit of a tunnel vision effect where the edges of my screen were darkened.
I had my vision going out like you are falling asleep and close your eyes for a bit and then open them again. Was abit of pain in combat fighting dogs/cats as by the time i had vision again they where out of sight xD
Stalker is supposed to be hard. They shouldn't be nerfed because you are intended to be afraid of Bloodsuckers. What should be done however, is reducing their numbers in the zone. In older games, they were a semi-legendary creature and they were rare. They should be now too and they should pop up when you least expect them.
Bloodsuckers scared me more in the old games and anomaly more, i still need to force my self to go down the stairs to find Streloks stash and old school Bloodsuckers died to 2 shot shells, new suckers dont invoke that fear in me they just suck to fight, old suckers hit hard and were better at getting around behind you then the new ones are. Bloodsuckers should not eat ammo like a fat kid does candy and should never be seen outside during the day, they should be something you only see at night and underground..
@@mikeb5063I think something a lot of us are missing is this game is full of content. There’s everything everywhere the best part about it? You don’t have to conflict with everything you see and in fact it’s the biggest thing you’ll learn from the beginning when you realized you’ve done a lot of killing and destruction for a little bit of loot. Being said this would narrow down your encounters with them in conflict and then leaving you the few undesirable encounters. I still think they leave an eerie notion but yes there’s something in the nostalgic fear that will have a stronger hold. That’s just how it is.
Even in the hardcore mod Gamma the bloodsuckers don’t have as much health as they do in Stalker 2, and that mod is one of the hardest games you’ll ever play. They outright have too much health. It’s ridiculous.
Hopefully they don't overreact to the make it easy crowd. I guess everybody wants to one shot mutants and have. A million credits. But frankly, this game is already easier than the first three. It doesn't need to get any easier.
If you want to bypass the expensive repair cost by selling items for more money than intended. Put all the items you’re going to sell into the sell tab then right click on an item so it says remove then while that tab is still open left click the buy tab to make the remove tab go away then drag a stackable item into the sell tab but don’t select the amount and keep the amount selection tab open then you should notice that your items are selling for 3-4x the amount and just click sell.
Nice tips, I already got alot of Nexus mods that bring the game balance to a more fair level. Its about having fun, not a soulless grind :) Also the game tries to do some hand- holding with a tutorial at the start but quickly defaults into a Stalker that makes you google everything as ususal :)
Best tip i can give is, you shouldnt be skipping the times unless your character needs to sleep(this is usually only reserved for the veteran difficulty) you can see your anonomlies better at night especially when paired with the flashlight as the black on orange light helps reflect the anonmlies, the only one you wont see is the time distortion anonomly i forget why this is but their is a reason behind it in the lore.. Though this anonmly is very useful for dodging bullets and if your good at tracking and predicting AI movement you can shoot a bit forward and have the AI walk into the shot
I got the sleep icon while playing normal difficulty (or was it stalker). It's there and I only saw it after 30 hours of gameplay. It feels out of place imo
Mutant's dificulty is actually pretty good ,imo at least, whatI saw a lot of ppl not doing is not using weapons with good armor pen and the right bullets, but definitelly needs to have drops to be worth the expensive ammo and more enjoyable. Really hope they don't change veteran dificulty, what it needs rn is scarse consumables, 100+ everything in a few hours is lame and make aflictions a joke *Haven't finished watching when I commented, amazing video
Sleeping just fast forwards 6 hours, not morning. And your light was on during stealth, although sometimes it does feel like they can see you no matter what. Good vid tho, i didn't know about the left most artifact slot not giving you radiation.
I highly recommend to get the mutant loot and items mod from Nexus, really makes facing mutants worth it as you can sell those parts. Dont know why they didnt add it to the game.
7:54 don't use your flashlight when taking down enemies cuz it'll reveal your position. Wonder why you're using your flashlight when it comes to stealth.
LOL, I already want to restart... I have 4K+ hours in ALL stalker games, plus more in GAMMA and other mods. Most of this I knew, but I learned some valuable stuff! Thanks.
When it comes to mutants the shotgun is your best friend, 2 shots on flesh and about 4-6 on bloodsuckers, haven’t really tried it on poltergeist or Pyrogeist.
When it comes to bugged attachments and installing them.. After the upgrade is purchased (if needed) and you STILL cannot add an attachment.. Store the attachment in ANY backpack/safe/container, just get it out of your inventory.. Now with the weapon equipped in a slot, just manually (don't do auto or pick up all) pick back up the attachment and maneuver it to your inventory and it will "snap" to the equipped weapon, hit accept and there you go.
1:55 you can keep the artifacts on permanently if you find artifacts that reduce radiation. I have found a few so far but they’ll basically cancel out the effect of the radiation on a different artifact depending on the strength.
A good tip for dealing with blood suckers, Is Armor pen rounds. Always keep like 120+ rounds of AP ammo in your pockets at all times if you get engaged by a blood-sucker, just swap ammo types and you're good to rumble. They fall reasonably quick with AP
One thing ive noticed with the release of stalker 2 is how many people playing it are non stalker people. YT is FULL of non veteran stalker players who never played the originals let alone the mods like Anomaly, Gamma, or Misery. Ive been playing stalker for since I was in highschool and im 35 now. Hearing peoples opinions and stories of their short time in the Zone with stalker 2 as their first is sometime hilarious. Im happy to see new people getting into it though. Im 35 with 2 kids. Ive been in the Zone since I had to beg my dad to buy Shadow Of Chernobyl when it was in a cardboard box at Best Buy in the mid 2000's. Anyway I hope you enjoy this game. This might sound weird but this series is what got me into hog hunting with an AK in real life lol
In regards to the akm74s not having a scope mount, you can get the exact same scope that the early unique one has, I think you can get it from a stash in garbage. That makes it a way better option as you can remove this when you need to get in close
So for the fast travel, the reason is because the guides know the safest routes throughout the zone as they have practically lived their for x amount of years and explored the zone and usually knows how their routes change each emission, so taking them is like a garentee your not going to be fucked with by bandits etc, hence why when your just walking around you will encounter hostile factions randomly, its the emersion of the lore that a lot of people dont like
I think what most people dislike about the suddenly encountering enemies is that they weren't there cuzz they were simulated in A-life, they just spawn behind you because of a proximity sensor. It's not working as it should and the devs are fixing it. I think most people actually play stalker for the random encounters that are simulated by A-life and the immersion it brings.
I just fought 2 bloodsuckers in a dark hanger and boy I almost shat my pants. By the way, btw I think u can bait the bloodsuckers in a corner and empty ur mag.
Another thing I've used against blood suckers is when there is light you can see their foot steps really well from the splashes/dust effects that happen which I use alot to see where they are
SLEEP DOES NOT TURN TO MORNING! Sleep is something like 6-9 hours (didn’t write it down when I checked) because I’ve tried to sleep as night/evening comes and it sets the time to 02:something or 03:something, and when I’ve slept again to further time it has put me at 09:xx or 10:xx, so No, sleep does not set time to “morning”. At least not on PC. For ammo types, it’s a straight up conversion in most cases, but unless I haven’t checked that either (very likely) the hunting shotgun goes from buckshot to slugs. They have different numbered calibers on the boxes so for the sake of argument it should make sense that the upgrade lets you use slugs since it’s turning a smoothbore to a rifled barrel, but if it only “removes” the option for buckshots it has to be at the benefit of greater accuracy because it’s turning it into a makeshift elephant rifle. Weapon attachments can NOT be attached inside your inventory, and can ONLY be attached to “active” weapons. Thought it was a bug as well, but no, you have to equip the weapon in one of the three slots, drag the equipment over it or select the menu option of adding to weapon, and replace that now equipped weapon with what you wanted equipped. No attachment doings inside your bag, only equipped weapons get that feature😅😑 AK’s have rail upgrades. All of them. The first trader sells two “scopes”, one holo and one red-dot, the rd goes on the AK’s, but you have to pay for the upgrade.
Remember to break those medic/ammo/food boxes! It's a really easy way to get so much supplies! I'm currently at something like 30 medpacks and bandages, just from containers!
Great video. Most of this I learned by playing, wish I saw this before. But one problem is at 12:36 it looks like you actually didn’t purchase the rail. It’s still yellow. Maybe the bug is it doesn’t let you buy it, or you might’ve not purchased it by mistake, but even the button to undo the last upgrade didn’t light up. The UI in this game is confusing and awful in some aspects to deal with on console
Didn't work for me, but it is not a big deal: ammo for nato rifles is extremely scarce in the first zones and you will get much better AK early in the game (water tower near first camp)
Bloodsuckers have a bee line approach so, just look for their shimmer then as they charge, fire one shot, side step, then whip your gun to the spot you were standing then you get one more shot till they reset their idle pattern. Rinse qnd repeat. I agree, they need to be nerfed especially since they come in pairs a lot of the time.
the jump in the beginning of the video reminded me of a tip I can share. if there is a gravity (the one that does no damage but pushes you around) anomaly on the ground you can jump from high places and land on it and take no fall damage.
With stealth, enemies will see you if your flashlight is on, i know this sucks because its a VERY dark game, but stealth does work to a degree when your crouched and dont have your torch light on(i played around with the stealth mechanics on the mission you get from star in the first few hours of the main story, was able to sneak right up behind a patrol in pitch black night time without being detected by just softly taping the w key so i was "creeping" around, worked really well, got to about 2m behind the enemies becore i got detected)
At first , the ammo was the problem, later it was the cost of weapon repair, try to get some items to sell after each run, so you can upgrade and repair guns and armor easier.
What you said about broken weapons is only partially correct. The trader called Ragman in Rostok buys even broken weapons. Though he does give you even less that most other traders would.
One tip I have that's been saving me a lot of bandages is that the floating glass shards, if u walk slowly through them they will not cut you, and keyboard just press X to switch to walking pace and you can just stroll through it all the glass you want
Hey you can also play the guitar just found out today. If you got to the lesser zone at the first safe zone you can find a guitar you can pick up left side of your bed and chest laying on the bunk bed
no every suit as a lead container and some get it as an upgrade, you wont be getting leaded containers till midtier armours with upgrades or high tier armours at base. Just an FYI
Talk about realism and immersion but after a long mission, painful mutant fights, blood, sweat and tears you can't just simply chug 2 bottles of vodka, call it a day and use the bed to sleep, you need to eat first 😂
There are multiple camps with one person, there’s a couple of military bases close to the bottom of the start map as well where you can do this. HOWEVER I highly suggest not taking on the much bigger base at the bottom of the starting area as there are snipers with SVD’s on the wall and tons of ground troops with more advanced weapons then the starting ones, I only kinda cleared it because stalkers came to the base and helped clear them.
I can say about the sleep buff that you have to sleep regularly. It's not just there to skip the night, but if you're awake for 3-4 days in a row, you'll get tired. I had that once after a lot of exploration and I was in combat and suddenly I got sleepy. It wasn't great to keep closing my eyes in combat and getting shot at. So you don't want to stay awake too long, because sleep is also part of the survival mechanic. A tip I learned the hard way.
Army medkits will also stop bleeds ans heal you for a decent chunk, an expensive bandage but useful in a pinch situation especially if you have no bandages, so its better to stock up on them and only use them when you need to so you have plenty for those big fights or when returning to an area with a lot of mutants(e.g blind dogs or bloodsuckers as both apply heavy bleed stacks)
"Something weird going on there" is pretty much the game in a nutshell. I don't like how enemies just spawn next to me and automatically see me from a mile away. Like WTF.
Some small findings. 1. You can walk through the broken glass anomalies if you crouch+walk 2. Snorks count as human enemies as far as headshots 3. The best early weapon is probably the S2 submachine gun, The Spitter specifically. It has extreme damage, pen, and uses 9x18 which is corny cheap so you can afford to stomp the bloodsuckers 4. Most of the monsters in the game can not jump. They can jump at you, but are unable to jump onto obstacles. If you jump atop something, even bloodsuckers can't touch you 5. Mutants might be after you, but they're not friends. Dogs, hamsters, boars, flesh, bloodsuckers, etc if they can't path to you (see #4) will go after each other. Super cheap bloodsucker remover. 6. If you're getting chased by bloodsuckers, run into the water. It slows them down and you can see where they are far easier 7. Psy block makes fighting controllers a breeze. They're still a pain and surprisingly MORE tanky than bloodsuckers, but they won't be able to send the ghosts after you or bleed your health 8. The tall smokestack by the monolith base has bounce anomalies at the base of the tower and can be climbed. To get the achievement, just climb to the top and jump off aiming for the anomalies. Easy!
Big thing to point out about weapon attachments. they aren't bugged. if you buy certain upgrades (sight rails, laser, muzzle brake etc) they don't automatically attach. You have to click on it again so it turns blue. this shows it as active on the weapon

It's actually worth dumping broken weapons in the storage box, you can sell them to a trader called Ragman in Rostok. A box is nearby at the bed and you can get some easy money selling him junk guns.

I know the flashlight gives you away but I didn't even realize I had it on in that clip until your comment lol
@@Astrosive a couple other stealth tips - 1 - there is a Walk button which slows you down, but you can also Walk while Crouching, which slows your movement speed further and makes you even less noticeable than just crouching
2 - You can see how noticeable you are on your compass, it's the blue part of the bar (as long as you are not in combat), if you hold totally still it should be plain white, the more noticeable you are, the bigger the blue portion becomes
3 - The white arrows that show up when you are trying to sneak point to enemies that can spot you.

@@MIG95374 not just walls i was seen thru a railway embankment on cordon XD
Stealth is also affected by your weight if you are red weight your so heavy and therefore noisy that every enemy within 50 meters automatically knows where you are also if you walk up to loot a enemy and it disappeared you are under psi attack and losing your mind it's part of the game annoying but not a broken spawn
That doesn't explain the whole enemies seeing through walls thing.
If you're caught in the open, crouch so you're aiming straight at it's face because it's crouching when attacking
Burers can't take your pistol away
Controllers are almost unable to defend themselves if you get up close to them
Also another tip is you can easily sidestep bloodsucks if u hold A or D and look at them while theyre charging you. Or do a short sprint with SHIFT+W and A or D.
Although Burers CAN rip out your Rhino. I found that out the hard way. However, they suck against grenades, so pop 'em if you got 'em.
"jump on crates for bloodsuckers so they cant attack you" but you neither since they will go away and come back only once you drop back down like any other mutants so only good if you got to heal,
crouch to counter burers snatching weapons out of your hands dsnt work might be a bug on your side (not sure I understood that one right though),
controllers nearly one shot you at melee while wearing "intermediate" armor at least (like the PSZ line of armor for exemple
)
Ok, and for pseudogiants just hold shift and spam E.
Enemies hide from me LOS perfectly when I do this . But I just hop down real quick & jump back up to spam em
I think it depends on certain bloodsuckers because I ran into one the other day that literally chased me across the map
I thought I had lost it and then it found me hiding in a bus and circled me
So it just depends on the specific Bloodsucker!
U also dont need to repair it😊
great idea actually... i just used a Shotgun and a SVD for like the first 20 hours worked also very well.
Of the one on the water tower with a scope. Add on a GL, suppressor and a bigger magazine. Muawh
@gunzorzz what like it doesnt deteriorate after u repair it?
Got that also, mine was totally crap,so I had to fix it up.
Where to find the suppressor...any location or can you buy it?🤔
Further in the game bloodsuckers become trivial. They are only an issue at the start of the game.
I have about 70 hours in on Xbox, here are a few other tips.
- Turn off the flashlight when you don't need it. It makes you harder to spot
- When traveling long distances switch to you're detector. I came across artefacts on locations I would not have expected
- Let enemies fight each other or mutants. It saves a lot of ammo.
- Use the map marker to create a path when travelling, it is much easier to plan ahead instead if just walking in a straight line towards the mission
- You can play most of the game with only a handful of med kits and bandages, dump or sell the rest
- Use bandages to restore health even when you are not bleeding.
Btw this is coming from a veteran as well who has many hours on all the previous entries, good hunting Stalkers ☢️
P.S. Always have a shotgun on your person, a l w a y s
Shotgun allways good against mutants.
Suit with rad protection or with a lead case (ecologist suit with an upgrade has it) works for raditation emiting artifacts
But again, none of this may even be present in STALKER 2 so take this with a grain of salt.
nobody asked geek.

Another tip for emissions, your hud(the compas at the top) will automatically change and show you your destination to the closest shelter you can take cover in, just be in mind of being overweight as this can sometimes be 100+meters away, but the game does help you in that aspect, just remember to reselect your main mission once your safe during the emission when your bunkered down or after it
Also br in mind that all AI will try to seek shelter from emissions, this includes hostile enemies so you may encounter some when you also seek shelter

Artefacts aren't completely random, there are specific locations where they spawn.
After you take the artifact from the spawn location, a new one will spawn after emission. Remember where you found an artefact with a scanner and return there after emission.

I just got out of the lesser zone and ran into bloodsuckers no less than 5 times, it was rough.

The detector only beeps if there is an artifact nearby, it doesn’t beep for anomalies
Mutant's dificulty is actually pretty good ,imo at least, whatI saw a lot of ppl not doing is not using weapons with good armor pen and the right bullets, but definitelly needs to have drops to be worth the expensive ammo and more enjoyable. Really hope they don't change veteran dificulty, what it needs rn is scarse consumables, 100+ everything in a few hours is lame and make aflictions a joke
*Haven't finished watching when I commented, amazing video
Sleeping just fast forwards 6 hours, not morning. And your light was on during stealth, although sometimes it does feel like they can see you no matter what. Good vid tho, i didn't know about the left most artifact slot not giving you radiation.
Switch to ap ammo on a bloodsucker. Makes the fight a ton easier.
For the poltergeist it takes 3 to 4 shots with AP runs and for pyrogeis is 2
If you get in a glass Anomaly, you can crouch. So it doesn't hurt you 🤗
When it comes to bugged attachments and installing them..
Playing on xbox and I prefer fighting a bloodsucker than a pack of dogs, I waste so much ammo with the stick drift
Playing on Xbox and I prefer keyboard and mouse
Way easier to aim with keyboard and mouse on xbox
The best advice I got is that this is not a run and gun game. Relax and take your time.
Thanks for no spoilers
The price of upgrades and the trader is dependant on your standing with the given faction
In Rostoc trashman or whatever his name is will buy heavily damaged weapons and armor
Artifacts will respawn after an Emission
The G key is a faster way to unload ammo in a gun, right clicking is too long.
1:55 you can keep the artifacts on permanently if you find artifacts that reduce radiation. I have found a few so far but they’ll basically cancel out the effect of the radiation on a different artifact depending on the strength.
10:39 yes you can sell broken weapons, but only to one vender
That's some great information bud, would be better information if you said which vendor....
What vendor fam
A good tip for dealing with blood suckers, Is Armor pen rounds. Always keep like 120+ rounds of AP ammo in your pockets at all times
if you get engaged by a blood-sucker, just swap ammo types and you're good to rumble. They fall reasonably quick with AP
Most of people don't know that but the m10 Gordon ( the uzi) can be put in the pistol slot. Its not a bug its a feature
The M10 Gordon is based on the MAC-10, not the Uzi.
OH WOW THANKS
It's also for sale at the Duty Base just before Cooling Towers.
drag and drop of attachments in the inventory isnt bugged, its just not intended for bag managing purposes. u can drag and drop only on equipped guns
I'm a huge fan of the random interactions, it's just lame heading back through a compound less than 5 minutes later and everyone is there again
For those dealing with mutants early on use the shotgun especially the pump whenever you can find it.
No attachment doings inside your bag, only equipped weapons get that feature😅😑
AK’s have rail upgrades. All of them. The first trader sells two “scopes”, one holo and one red-dot, the rd goes on the AK’s, but you have to pay for the upgrade.
I'm using the one with the pso scope. How do I get a rail on it? I've done every upgrade
@@P1DZz It could be because it is a Named Weapon.
Remember to break those medic/ammo/food boxes! It's a really easy way to get so much supplies! I'm currently at something like 30 medpacks and bandages, just from containers!
Now I feel dumb I had no clue the was fast travel I’ve been walking everywhere
Same man for like 25 hours 😂😂
Great video. Most of this I learned by playing, wish I saw this before. But one problem is at 12:36 it looks like you actually didn’t purchase the rail. It’s still yellow. Maybe the bug is it doesn’t let you buy it, or you might’ve not purchased it by mistake, but even the button to undo the last upgrade didn’t light up. The UI in this game is confusing and awful in some aspects to deal with on console
I was able to keep the AR and AK-74 from the prologue. It's buggy as it sometimes works.
lucky.
I lost mine after putting the, in the safe.
It works if you throw it on the ground, don't put it in the safe.
@@DeadSpaceMartyr90you can cheese it too
@@barelymakingit79I threw them on the ground. Only the 3 wood furniture AKs remained for me.
Didn't work for me, but it is not a big deal: ammo for nato rifles is extremely scarce in the first zones and you will get much better AK early in the game (water tower near first camp)
Bloodsuckers are hard? How about 5 - 6 snorks!?😂
I didnt know about the first slot thing thanks
only certain suits have this, and later you can get another slot too
the jump in the beginning of the video reminded me of a tip I can share. if there is a gravity (the one that does no damage but pushes you around) anomaly on the ground you can jump from high places and land on it and take no fall damage.
I really wish mutants gave you loot, I hate that it is pointless to kill them
you can sell broken weapons, there's a specific trader that takes them.
Sleeping does give you a buff if you have the poppy artifact equipped. (The buff helps with stealth, for a limited time.)
Shotguns are just goated. Ammo is easy to find and cheap. Use them.
you can sell broken guns to ragman, in Rolstock.
What you said about broken weapons is only partially correct. The trader called Ragman in Rostok buys even broken weapons. Though he does give you even less that most other traders would.
Mutants are not a challange in Stalker difficulty. You shoot them a few times with a shotgun and simple buckshot and they lie down.
One tip I have that's been saving me a lot of bandages is that the floating glass shards, if u walk slowly through them they will not cut you, and keyboard just press X to switch to walking pace and you can just stroll through it all the glass you want
Make the singular boss type mutants more deadly but easier to kill for the love of the zone!
Just an FYI
Talk about realism and immersion but after a long mission, painful mutant fights, blood, sweat and tears you can't just simply chug 2 bottles of vodka, call it a day and use the bed to sleep, you need to eat first 😂
Maybe you do, some of us are built different☠️
@helpumuch6887 built weaker 😔
@ it’s okay, the zone will break you down, but it will build you back stronger
A tip I learned the hard way.
you can press “g” when hovering a gun to instantly unload it without having to right click
Walk through the floating glass anomaly (you'll take no damage), and note that you can't shoot through it.
I think you also get the goldfish from Yutri, who asked you to get his brothers body from the anomaly. I just looted him. And bring him back to him.
Just to mention, red weapons can be sold to Ragman, which you unlock later on
Very basic but Solid and Accurate.
Make sure you insert your scanner into the slot
"Something weird going on there" is pretty much the game in a nutshell. I don't like how enemies just spawn next to me and automatically see me from a mile away. Like WTF.
Some small findings.
1. You can walk through the broken glass anomalies if you crouch+walk
2. Snorks count as human enemies as far as headshots
3. The best early weapon is probably the S2 submachine gun, The Spitter specifically. It has extreme damage, pen, and uses 9x18 which is corny cheap so you can afford to stomp the bloodsuckers
4. Most of the monsters in the game can not jump. They can jump at you, but are unable to jump onto obstacles. If you jump atop something, even bloodsuckers can't touch you
It slows them down and you can see where they are far easier
7. Psy block makes fighting controllers a breeze. They're still a pain and surprisingly MORE tanky than bloodsuckers, but they won't be able to send the ghosts after you or bleed your health
8. The tall smokestack by the monolith base has bounce anomalies at the base of the tower and can be climbed. To get the achievement, just climb to the top and jump off aiming for the anomalies. Easy!
This "case" for artifacts is only there if you upgrade it on your armor
just hover over the weapons and press G it unloads it without having to open a menu to click unload
Big thing to point out about weapon attachments. they aren't bugged. if you buy certain upgrades (sight rails, laser, muzzle brake etc) they don't automatically attach. You have to click on it again so it turns blue. this shows it as active on the weapon
