- •Poor baby's Bilirubin (yes I kept saying “bellyrubin” in the videos!🤦🏼♀️) levels are high, so we may have to stay longer to see if they will come down.
•My heart is breaking because I know all she wants it to be held, but she has to sit under the light until her levels come down!!!
•It took a couple of days to finally decided on a name, but we did it! ✨Evelyn Mae Forsyth!!✨
•She is so loved and we can't wait to introduce her to Gideon and our family!!

It cracks me up the Joy is so smitten over a girl. Calling her a princess and all that. Joy has always been the rough and tumble tomboy stuck in the middle of all those boys.

The jaundice journey is tough, but hang in there! This will pass! Jaundice can cause babies to be very sleepy and being under the lights can be uncomfortable, both could be what’s contributing to the latching issues. Hang in there and rest when you can! Lots of love from this postpartum nurse!
My nephew had jaundice when he was born, and now he is almost 6 years old
It is so nice to see Austin and how he is as a husband! All you hear is all these horrible rumors and you pray for Joy’s sake that they are not true and watching this you can see his love and tender heart towards Joy and his babies!! ❤️❤️

Having your rainbow baby struggle would have been so hard to walk through;. I’m glad everyone is okay, and doing well now. Even though her problem was a common one, only those who have walked though similar, would truly understand how difficult it would have been. You two are great parents. Welcome to the world Princess.

She's so beautiful. I spent almost a week in the hospital. And then my son spent 2 weeks in the nicu. Proud to say he will be 3 this weekend. Congratulations to you both on your beautiful little girl.
Sending thoughts and prayers! My son had jaundice when he was first born. He was in the hospital for 6 days & his levels got so bad they had him prepped for a blood transfusion. I know how scary of a time this is! Just remember God is watching over her & you as well 💝
Evelyn has become a trendy name in the last few years. Evie for short is very cute as is Eve. Not sure about the Mae. Sounds like Bobby Jo, Peggy Sue, Billy Rae. Mae is a nice name just don’t like the sound with Evie. However parents can name children what they want and it’s a choice you hope the child will like as they grow older.
My daughter too. It was the longest 6 days of my life. Did you get to stay in the hospital with your son? We did. That was a blessing.
I went through that and more soon after birth, such that the first month of life was a comedy of errors, or a tragedy. From being delivered by a different doctor, to developing jaundice so bad at the hospital that light therapy didn't work, so I got the blood transfusion. I went home for a few days, but then at 10 days old contracted pneumonia, which turned out to be meningitis...so I spent a month in the hospital and ended up with 'mild' CP. #disability

As a mum myself, the bilirubin thing is quite common for babies. Sometimes their liver function needs to play catch up. My youngest had a similar issue when he was born. Congratulations on the birth of a beautiful baby.

She is so beautiful! My youngest daughter had to be under the light as well. I know how you feel. When they brought her to me at night all wrapped up with the light in her blanket, I called her my little glow worm. This will pass very soon and before you know it sure will be 23 year old!
You're both amazing parents! I feel your pain Joy! My baby girl was in the NICU for 18 days. She also had jaundice and a bunch of other issues due to being born premature, but now she is 13 and strong and happy! Praise God for your beautiful baby girl!

I understand; my daughter had the same thing. Our daughter also had trouble sucking; she was in for 8 days. Praise the Lord your daughter didn't struggle with something more serious. My best friends son is 2 months old; he has spent most of his life in the hospital; he needs a feeding tube; oxygen; air way surgery and 2 heart surgeries.

Oh Joy and Austin! I totally feel your pain over the Jaundice and “light” therapy! My little Madeline had the same issue and she would cry as she wanted cuddles! They were such hard days as a first time mum! But those days pass eventually and you then have the rest of your lives together, the sun will come out after the storm passes xx
