Hi aryan, i have this question i would like you to answer in a video how do people get dimensions to start sketching in solidworks because without proper dimensions assembly could be a problem. Thank u
Very vague. You always need one dimension to start. Ask it again differently so I understand your question better
@@with-Aryan what i mean is that i want to model maybe can crusher i have image as reference but o jave no dimensions so i was asking how do i get dimensions to start my modeling of can crusher?
@@hsevencg9981 you can either measure the actual thing you want to copy, or you simply decide on the dimensions. If you are working on an actual project, there will almost always be some kind of constraints on the dimensions of the thing you are designing. Sometimes you have more freedom, sometimes less.
But it is very important to always, always, make fully defined sketches, in any parametric 3D CAD system. And I would recommend against using any function that automatically constrains things or against using Fixed constraints in anything but very specific situations (like imported graphics or such).
