Subaru is not obliged nor have a duty to save everyone, and he CAN'T save everyone, for example Crusch's soldiers were killed by white whale because of his choice, we just don't care about them because we don't know their names, stories etc. It is also absolutely clear that at that point Emilia said that she is not interested in Subaru and she doesn't need his help. This timeline is like an obvious best choice.

It’s sad how wholesome and beautiful this IF is I really do love the dynamic between every single character in this. It is written beautiful and doesn’t even feel much like an IF story. that lady is 100%, and this is a spoiler here so ill put it below, She is the witch of envy in the first encounter, and then satella in the second, which we learn theyre separate entities in arc 3 because reasons. Shes probably just annoyed that subaru basically is ignoring her and spending no time with her by not dying for such a long period of time, or mad that he strayed so far from what they had intended for him.

Well, by this point it isn't an if story. In the anime, right before Gluttony gets Rem, Rem has some flashbacks of what happened in this story. She couldn't imagine *exactly* how the kids looked, it is just impossible, so maybe, there was a timeline where she actually ran away with Subaru, we already know that Subaru can remember everything in his past lives so maybe, in a moment of desperation, Rem remembered some glimpses of how she once lived life. Either way, I am team Subaru's ass
I still wish the Re: Zero story in general had done something as bold as that. have subaru actually runaway, have a whole episode/montage dedicated to his life with rem, have her die of old age, and when subaru is near dead have a moment something similar to how ayamatsu ends BUT subaru still wanting to live (thinking if only for a single second he could tell rem how he genuinely loves her if she told him in her death bed she always felt guilty about their lives or something so she doesn't die with regrets). But to his sheer horror BOOM back to the apa stand, decades gone, his life in kararagi feeling like a massively lucid dream, and subaru's mind being know mostly focused in the events of present like if he had just gotten fresh from the loop wwhere rem was erased by the whale. Also, him having photographic memory, but he feeling like his mind was fuzzy. so when he sees rem, he does what he did previous loop, something in his dialogue convinces her to do what she did in canon and snap him out of his funk (this time subaru realizing with horror he is stuck no matter what and he really wants to die). sutff proceeds to go as it did in canon but subaru being more affectionate towards rem, and people from the outside basically thinking "he is on the rebound". especiallt because this would make it sting even harder when rem falls into a coma. even worse if what you said of rem somehow beyond the impossible being able to briefly recall her own life from that other timeline somehow.

We sadly live in a society so things are done by companies with cash in mind. But i do think that ur approach would really slow down the continuation of the full story, it would waste too much time, and i think it would translate pretty badly on screen, it is best as an extra chapter.

Stuff like that)
Here after season 1 and found someone recommending your videos when talking about what if Rem accepted Subaru's proposal route. I know Emilia is the main heroine and she deserved happiness, but I just can't help but feel bad with Rem (yes, I know she killed Subaru before, but her loyalty after that just paid it off). So yeah, now I love re zero even more because of your videos.
It's kinda nice that the sloth if story is longer than every other IF stories combined because in the web novel it said Sekhmet (witch of sloth) is stronger than the other witches combined when serious. Dunno if it's a coincidence but if it was intended it's a nice easter egg

Personally I believe that many more individuals like Subaru came to the world, most of which probably met a bad end due to their unfamiliar and unfriendly surroundings, and not having an ability like Subaru’s RBD, nor a purpose to save someone like him. Those who did survive most likely sought out, or perhaps even came together to help build up Kararagi, in order to try and rebuild what they lost in the transition, and make an accepting environment for otherworlders like themselves. Over time they passed on their traditions and inventions, and ideals, helping to build up a landscape similar to a more traditional Japanese landscape. I assume this, only because I find it unlikely that Subaru is the first, and beyond that, coming to this world, they lacked an understanding of its practices, lacked an ability to read or write the language, had no money to their name, and no one to support them.

In the story sense we don't know until nagatsuki gives us the answers. In reality, it is because he is a metaphor for the life of people who do little for themselves or think little of themselves, the hikikimori, the depressed, the people who dont want to deal with life and how they must be willing to find drive and purpose through their hardships, there will be struggles and its OK to struggle. They must be OK with their weaknesses, you are weak and you can become strong but you are not useless. We have faults, and other people have faults, It is OK we do not need to be perfect. A metaphor for Relationships and how some are not what they seem. A metaphor for trust, trust in ourselves and others/ The story of how virtue and sin leads us down different paths in life. That is what Nagatsuki wants us to see through the eyes of subaru.

If you really think about it this and all the IF stories are basically canon. Think about it, if Subaru’s return by death has no limit then that means he is technically immortal and every time he dies the world he died on moves on without him and he basically goes to a different reality, and if that is true then that means he can do anything he wants to and since he is basically immortal then he technically did all of this in a different reality so this is technically canon. But that’s without the limitations of the checkpoint system which he can’t control so he would have to choose from the start what he wanted to do. But Hey THATS JUST A THEORY

She is the witch of envy in the first encounter, and then satella in the second, which we learn theyre separate entities in arc 3 because reasons. Shes probably just annoyed that subaru basically is ignoring her and spending no time with her by not dying for such a long period of time, or mad that he strayed so far from what they had intended for him.

There's a sense of desperation throughout this whole IF story, even tho it is technically a happy ending, I just love that. Great video!

Well, by this point it isn't an if story. In the anime, right before Gluttony gets Rem, Rem has some flashbacks of what happened in this story. She couldn't imagine *exactly* how the kids looked, it is just impossible, so maybe, there was a timeline where she actually ran away with Subaru, we already know that Subaru can remember everything in his past lives so maybe, in a moment of desperation, Rem remembered some glimpses of how she once lived life.
Either way, I am team Subaru's ass
I still wish the Re: Zero story in general had done something as bold as that.
have subaru actually runaway, have a whole episode/montage dedicated to his life with rem, have her die of old age, and when subaru is near dead have a moment something similar to how ayamatsu ends BUT subaru still wanting to live (thinking if only for a single second he could tell rem how he genuinely loves her if she told him in her death bed she always felt guilty about their lives or something so she doesn't die with regrets).
But to his sheer horror BOOM back to the apa stand, decades gone, his life in kararagi feeling like a massively lucid dream, and subaru's mind being know mostly focused in the events of present like if he had just gotten fresh from the loop wwhere rem was erased by the whale. Also, him having photographic memory, but he feeling like his mind was fuzzy. so when he sees rem, he does what he did previous loop, something in his dialogue convinces her to do what she did in canon and snap him out of his funk (this time subaru realizing with horror he is stuck no matter what and he really wants to die).
sutff proceeds to go as it did in canon but subaru being more affectionate towards rem, and people from the outside basically thinking "he is on the rebound". especiallt because this would make it sting even harder when rem falls into a coma. even worse if what you said of rem somehow beyond the impossible being able to briefly recall her own life from that other timeline somehow.

We sadly live in a society so things are done by companies with cash in mind. But i do think that ur approach would really slow down the continuation of the full story, it would waste too much time, and i think it would translate pretty badly on screen, it is best as an extra chapter.

I know Emilia is the main heroine and she deserved happiness, but I just can't help but feel bad with Rem (yes, I know she killed Subaru before, but her loyalty after that just paid it off). So yeah, now I love re zero even more because of your videos.
The Sloth ( Rem ) IF is amazing, cute and beautiful. Yet it has a really depressing context as he had to abandon everything.

Personally I believe that many more individuals like Subaru came to the world, most of which probably met a bad end due to their unfamiliar and unfriendly surroundings, and not having an ability like Subaru’s RBD, nor a purpose to save someone like him. Those who did survive most likely sought out, or perhaps even came together to help build up Kararagi, in order to try and rebuild what they lost in the transition, and make an accepting environment for otherworlders like themselves. Over time they passed on their traditions and inventions, and ideals, helping to build up a landscape similar to a more traditional Japanese landscape. I assume this, only because I find it unlikely that Subaru is the first, and beyond that, coming to this world, they lacked an understanding of its practices, lacked an ability to read or write the language, had no money to their name, and no one to support them.

In reality, it is because he is a metaphor for the life of people who do little for themselves or think little of themselves, the hikikimori, the depressed, the people who dont want to deal with life and how they must be willing to find drive and purpose through their hardships, there will be struggles and its OK to struggle. They must be OK with their weaknesses, you are weak and you can become strong but you are not useless. We have faults, and other people have faults, It is OK we do not need to be perfect. A metaphor for Relationships and how some are not what they seem. A metaphor for trust, trust in ourselves and others/
The story of how virtue and sin leads us down different paths in life. That is what Nagatsuki wants us to see through the eyes of subaru.

If you really think about it this and all the IF stories are basically canon. Think about it, if Subaru’s return by death has no limit then that means he is technically immortal and every time he dies the world he died on moves on without him and he basically goes to a different reality, and if that is true then that means he can do anything he wants to and since he is basically immortal then he technically did all of this in a different reality so this is technically canon. But that’s without the limitations of the checkpoint system which he can’t control so he would have to choose from the start what he wanted to do. But Hey THATS JUST A THEORY
Interesting thing to think about but when you see the other what if story lines at the end when he dies he stays dead but it could be the fact whenever Subaru dies he could always end up in another reality with return by death but what I'm trying to say is rember how one of the openings how you see the dead body's it could be all of his pasts and future fails each time he dies so the other what if's could be Cannon if that was the case
