For anyone wondering, this is technically the third season I've been on this server and the community is GREAT and very helpful, so if you've been on the fence about joining I highly recommend it!
Is it primary US or EU players on the server? Kinda wanna join but not if only US players and I gona be online when everyone is sleeping 😊

I made my own new world where everything is 1.5x damage and 1.2x as big and fast and it’s been a perfect challenge, ashlands is gonna kick my ass once I make it there but I’m excited

On the Burial Chambers raised stone, You can place a campire or a cooking station to block the section the skeleton can use to climb up the raised stone.

Hey Kysen, I finally showed Kiddo your video and she was super proud of being mentioned and featured. She was grinning the entire time 😊😊
We encourage kids to play with us, but want to remind parents that they are responsible for their kids' behaviour at all times. Kiddo only plays when I'm online, though, and she isn't in the discord.

Many aspects of the game have been covered to death ... but there are hardly any exploring scarcity of resources .... those that might eventually run out in a stretched out game (or become increasingly hard to find). I believe that fishing is a mechanism to cover some aspects of it (like coral cod dropping chitin post-leviathans), but not sure if it covers all. Silver comes only from silver veins according to wiki for example. Not sure if Flametal has another source other than the Flametal Ore Veins. Might be worth a shot at a video on this subject.
A more specialized variation on this subject can be something like .... which of the arrows can we make the most of. Since Carapace, feathers, wood are technically infinite (drop from creatures or farmable) ... carapace arrows are infinite probably ... while silver arrows might be a lot more finite
of course ... this is relevant only to those who do not want to use mods i guess

Quick question, how do you handle the higher lvl nighttime mobs that spawn after bosses are defeated? Are there rules about when players can go after bosses?
Yeah we have set timelines for those kinds of things as well as safe areas and raid management. If you give the server a go for a few weeks and don't like it I'll give you a full refund 🙂 that way you can try it risk free if you wish
We have a set schedule for the bosses and scripts to prevent people from spawning the ones we are not ready for. Once they open up, we kinda hope people are ready for what they bring.
We turn on Player Based Raids after defeating the Elder, so the troll raids won't destroy the bases of beginners.
We also have removed all the mob spawners from public areas like Spawn and the villages

Is there a specific method to make trees fall the way you want?
not that I've found
Face the direction you want it to fall, and think of it like a real tree, the way it leans naturally will have an effect in the way it falls, such as the trees around it. That's what I've noticed in my playing.

How do you reset the dungeons?
You need to use devcommands. In the console type "locations_reset Crypt2,Crypt3,Crypt4,TrollCave02 force". These particular ones reset the black forest burial chambers and troll caves. To reset others, just insert the correct names.
I have some very clever staff members that do that using mods haha. But the mods aren't needed by any of the players to join and play :)
We use the WorldEditCommands mod and the UpgradeWorld mod on the server. Players do not need these to play. Admins can then use the command locations_reset and some extra parameters to reset all the things we want

@@Kysen thanks but, maybe a few hints? It's not like I own a server or anything, sometimes I invite a few friends and sure we "might" build a bit too much and it starts to become a slideshow so I was curious
@@m4djoker890 it's mainly about reducing instances by clearing floor objects and having people build in different areas 🙂
@@m4djoker890When you invite people to join your game, you are the host of the server. That means all the rendering and whatever they see is processed on your pc. You'd need a very strong pc and internet connection to handle that.
We pay for a dedicated server through G-portal, which enables us to have that many people online and we use the mod MaxPlayerCount to allow for more than 10 players online at the same time.
It does get laggy when the first person in an area have a slower pc, it has something to do with how Valheim is built.
Is the only way to access the server by paying?
Yes, and we have several reasons for that but I understand it's not for everyone and that's fine too :)
@@Kysen I'm sure there are reasons, but I can't be bothered paying a monthly sub that's higher than the price of a RuneScape membership for a game like Valheim.

Those are super small places. Not far enough for advanced stuff...
They're just optional free starter plots. People's main bases can be any size they like
