I remember when I was a Tribal Elected Official in the late 90’s and I traveled to DC to speak in front of Congress on behalf of my Tribe…during that week it was announced on the radio that the IRS was unable to complete their Annual Audits.
This story grind my gears because the IRS rejected my clean vehicle tax credit for 7,500 and hit me with late fees. They couldn’t tell me why my credit got rejected after hours on the phone, and to think they’re just cutting check to scammers in this amount with no oversight but chasing me for 7500 which I’m eligible for. This whole system needs to be fixed. Ridiculous
Yeah, I qualified for the unemployment relief but didn’t jump through enough hoops I guess because they sent paper saying I owe them for the little bit of money they gave me. I literally know of tons of people who never worked didn’t qualify at all and received $10,000 or more and haven’t been asked to pay back anything. The system is completely effed in its hairy buuuuthoooole

You bet. I know a handful of people who don't live in CA who did it and got a debit with 25000 on it. The 1 I know personally died in later 2020. So he won't be accountable to anything. But that money is still sitting on that card. If they ever get their shit together and go take it back that is. Otherwise the state not California will absorb it into their coffers eventually Biggest shit show I have ever seen the whole pandemic. And this. Just throw open the door and shovel money at everyone.
