I used this video with their parts to repair my phone - a few notes: 1. The video tells you to completely remove the motherboard and then test the screen, but you need the motherboard in to test the screen (I had to put it back in which is annoying) 2. The fingerprint scanner is glued in very tightly. I had to gently heat the scanner and wiggle it loose with some force. 3. Battery is also stuck in good. I used their little black tool to carefully pry it off. 4. The final signal board on the video is also quite stuck (4:06) - I actually broke circuit board around the mounting hole trying to pry it off like he did - maybe try a little more gentle wiggling? 5. Was not able to replicate the ease with which they took off the insulating tape to install the new wires on the board - mine ended up as a scrunchy mess (hopefully not too much EMI in the long-run) 6. I'm pretty sure that the part which they reinstall at 6:37 (NFC or some other antenna?) is missing from the removal process. This part was quite tricky to get out, as the connectors are glued in and the ribbon cable is quite fragile. Be incredibly careful with this part. Overall, the installation seems to be successful - everything seems to work for now. I have a degree in electronic engineering, and I would not recommend this process to anyone who hasn't done a lot of practical electronic work and to anyone who doesn't have a lot of patience. All up it took me about 2 hours to complete and test.
Yeah, I deleted the old fingerprint and put a new one in. I'd say it normally takes two tries (scans) to unlock now, when it used to unlock the first time - this is probably because the scanner is not seated 100% correctly. It might also be because my new calibration isn't as good as my old one. I haven't tried recalibrating it again anyway because it doesn't bother me that much (~1 second difference between opening first or second time).
My one plus 7 display completely broken.. i want to replace it. from the video it shows whole the parts gets disconnected is it necessary for change the display
Having one doubt , you just removed only one connecter for display that is available near to speaker , then why did you removed battery and motherboard 🤷
If the screen doesn't work , how can I turn if off ? Can I unplug the battery connector or is it dangerous ? pretty sure my actual screen (which has been replaced in a shop) had a connector not connected well and I just did the beginning process from 0:00 to 2:08 but if the screen stays black but the phone turn on I don't really know what to do to turn if off

Does the fingerprint work?
@@syahirrahim Mine does, all I had to do was recalibrate it by removing the old fingerprint and adding a new one on the phone settings.
Mean that just delete the old fingerprint
The fingerprint still work like before or become slower?

do you have to take everything off if you're just changing the screen and not the frame?
You can buy a screen with the frame. That's safer. It's so hard to take down the screen without tearing it, at least I can't do it.
Did you heated screen before opening ? What's is the best temperature for opening screen back cover ? Can I use dryer ?
Thanks. Great instruction. I broke the sound switch (do not ask how)))), now i need to change the frame.
