Fax, the exfiltration theme always ruins the mood in Hitman
Hitman hasn;t been the same since Absolution....massive left turn and the kids playing the games now have absolutely no clue what the series really was.....also i think IO's original dev team who invented Hitman all left or were fired so that explains a lot too....
to put it simply old hitman was about being given targets that deserved to die, being given reasons and having those reasons reinforced on site meaning it's one thing to be told oh drug dealer 10,001 deserves to die and being shown in game the depth's of his evil that he wasn't just a dealer but the prime maker and tortured people as well, offing that guy makes the world a little better not by much but a little, but it's quite another to be told kill dealer 10,001 cus who cares, kill the bastard! and just doing as you're told, there's no point then it;s just a task... and the whole point was to go in unseen kill 1 target and get out unseen
the new games are go here kill this rinse repeat, it's all a murder simulation with no soul or reason behind it, the story is minimal and get's too wordy and pointless eh
look I kill lots of NPC's in countless games if I wanted straight up sneak and kill I'd do that in those other games, I liked Hitman cus it was smarter once and had awesome music that created an atmosphere, the new music has no life no soul to it, it's just there
and Kyd wasn't there to do the score for Absolution either, that game really shoulda been the mark of what's to come lol and you gotta love how they name the new games Hitman 1, 2 and 3 MAO!
If you want some more Jesper Kyd music done for IO, you could listen to Kane and Lynch Dead Men soundtrack. The ost just oozes with going all out. Dead Men suffers on many fronts but ost is not one of them.

Vermintide, especially 2, had an outstanding and superfitting score. It's so noticeable when the composer really knew the style and feel of the setting.
No doubt Darktide will be brilliant as well.
Turns out you were more right than you knew. The few tracks from the beta I heard were absolutely amazing. Even better than Vermintide 2, if you can believe it.

Watching this after playing the darktide beta... he hit the mark. It's amazing.
Jesper in my eyes is now John Warhammer simply for that fact that he captures the industrial and zealotous vibe of the Imperium so well its become its main theme
jesper is one of the top composers his work on blood money is some of the most fitting intriguing playful and even at times emotional as we methodically live the life of an assassin now as we see a more scifi setting its really amazing to see the range in his capabilities and im really liking this direction. bravo

My favorite works from him are definitely all the way back on the days of the 16-bit Mega Drive/Genesis. Batman and Robin has some of the most unbelievably amazing sounds from the console

Jesper Kyd nailed the OST for Darktide, what a legend.
This man creates the best atmospheric sounds for AC games. I dont think he felt overwhelmed with w40k even though its a huge universe. This dude literally makes games GREATER
