One of my favorite movie sequences of all time is not even an actual movie sequence, it's this edit you did. And believe it or not I haven't even seen the actual movie. Yet this edit is so so powerful, so cinematic, so lively, so dramatic, so telling about the human condition, it gives me watery eyes every time. If an alien came and asked what cinema is and I had only 3 minutes to show them, I'd show them this sequence.

@@moviesinmovement535 I have a feeling I won't enjoy the movie as much as this, here the music is on par with the visuals and contributes so much. The original has an average soundtrack, I'd say even bad in some portions, kinda the norm in those times, and doesn't do justice to the ahead of times visuals, based on some sequences I checked

This movie skocked me with its amazing and artistic shots. It feels like they lived in future and we are living in the past.
Thank you for your great edit👌

It takes a moment to realize that this film ratio, like early television allowed real wide angle lenses to be used without drawing attention to the lens because the sides are cropped. Otherwise all these moving camera and subject shots would be never be able to follow focus. It does make you wonder what the ISO of the film stock was
    (or ASA back then...)

This is absolutely mesmerising, the dynamics and techniques are otherworldly, so different from Western cinema! I've been ignoring Soviet films thinking they're boring communist propaganda, but I might have kept myself from experiencing some really unique gems, this one is now high on my watchlist!

This edit that you have constructed to music from the Digital Remaster of this feature film is a work of absolute genius. You should be very proud of how you've melded together this progressive narrative-montage of this one of the greatest films of Soviet Cinema. I might add I've shared this with a lot of of film makers and producers. You deserve a truly great future in this biz. Especially in these very hellish times of 2022. I wish you every success and thank you for this inspiring trailer distilling the very essence of The Cranes Are Flying.
