Probably overcrowding, possibly infection, or lack of food available to feed these huge number of babies? The temperature doesn’t seem to be the only problem.
@@Silver.. Would be unusual for the father to abandon them unless a predator bird is nesting in the same immediate vicinity. Far more likely he met his end by some fashion. This feels very much like some kind of illness...
@@Silver.. the chances of him abandoning them is very low actually and i mean very low. the fact you even made this comment just shows how butt hurt you are that facts were laid out to you

Possibly a disease, made worse by the terrible weather?
Very sad...
Very possible 😢
4:28 You can see the beak of a third dead chick below the obvious two dead chicks (7 o'clock).
The same happened for me. The last chick died last night :(
The father was gone before hatching, so the mother did not manage to feed all 8 of them.
Sorry to hear you had the same problem 😢
They started dying after the drop in temperature and the rain fall. Cold temperatures plus moisture definitely contributed to their failure to fledge
The stupid mother should have kept the babies warm with her body, but she didn't! An unfit mother!
To się zdarza tak samo jak atak dzięcioła lub sikory bogatki.
Poison bug I think,
what happened to these chicks?
must be the temperature, or maybe the rain made gathering enough food too difficult
Yeah probably... The Springwstch guys said the heavy rain may have washed all the catarpillars off the trees!
Such a shame, nature is very cruel!
And the mother was unfit! She could have kept the chicks warm with her body! Instead she chose not to!
👍👍👍👍
just too many to raise for a big bird
terrible father abandoned them as well on top of cold weather for lack luster food gathering
@@Silver.. You never know what happened to him. A predator like a hawk or a cat could have taken his life.
that may be true but guess what you also dont know so the chances of him abandoning before the eggs even hatched it also probable
