Nissan Frontier running hot, mechanical fan issues.

- The frontier was starting to creep up in temperature at stoplights. Upon further investigating I narrowed it down to the mechanical fan. This is an easy job most anyone can do.

Just bought a used 2018, dealer replaced radiator but it’s running hot on stoplight, will try this repair. Thanks

Hey, good video. I have the same problem with my Nissan frontier 2011 crew cab, 4.0 motor. We replaced fan clutch, radiator, thermostat and water pump and still have the issue. Any idea what else could be?
Be sure when burping it you have it on an incline. I just backed into a ditch so the front end was elevated to get all the air bubbles out. Some people claim you can just jack up the front end to achieve the same result, but I have not tried it.
try replace the sensor temperature
Did you notice your ac blowing warm air
Mine is losing coolant from reservoir I believe fan clutch is failing now overheating would the fan clutch be the culprit sluggish acceleration as well
Be sure to pressure test the cap on the reservoir, It may just be failing. If it is, its a dirt cheap fix. Remember temperature and pressure are relative. Water boils at 212 degrees at sea level. The higher the pressure the higher the temperature can go without boiling. If the spring in the cap is failing, then the system wont hold proper pressure thus causing it to boil and blow out of the tank at a lower temperature.
@@rndlife My caps got switched around not sure how that happened but i did replace thermonstat for safe measures & I have a new fan clutch believe mine is failing sounds like a schoolbus when accelerating from drive
just get the top fan shroud out of there completely and you won't need to crawl underneath.
The fan was still working went u got it off?
Mine lost power steering battery light came on and truck turned off serpentine belt and alternator good though what could it be?
A pulley might be getting to a point where it's not turning freely. Belts and alt. can be fine but if pulleys are grabbing or hesitating -- just not turning well -- it will cause issues like not being able to charge your battery. When the vehicle shuts down so does the steering. I don't know Nissans well but I'm a former Honda Class A tech. Good luck.
why do people speed thru the parts most needed to be seen-- ie where connectors are, etc.
well... I dont want you to get it confused and I can assure you that its because im actually terrible at making videos.... LOL actually its a bitter battle of covering all the details (for detail oriented people like yourself that want to use it as a "how to") and the other end of the spectrum of hoping people get the jist of whats going on but need something faster moving to keep their attention and keep them interested and watching.
