Playing this quest for the first time was such an experience, the lore tidbits were like secretly seeing your parents hiding you birthday gifts, you can only speculate but don't know what will happen, but it hypes you up for how the lore breadcrumbs will turn out when all is said and done
I'm not used to Sorush without the Twin Horned Chaplet, I felt like something was off while seeing this quest again and I realized it was because of that. She really gains a regal look when she has it.
BEST AREA LET'S GO The thing I love about Sumeru is how the three desert expansions are distinct both in looks and in vibes. And this one in particular is my favorite because they nailed the vibe of "a horrible disaster happened here in the past and you can still feel the echoes of pain and sadness, but the past is gone, and now more than that you can feel the healing and rebirth". The oasis in particular feels so calming, sometimes I just go there to sit nearby and listen to the music (tfw the areas with favorite osts have spots to sit down ☺).
1:02:00 the swamp area's OST reminded me so much of the swamp planet that Yoda trained Luke on during Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Brought me back to memories of playing the Lego Star Wars level as well!
You have been on a role with these uploads. Keep it up. Love listening to you while I'm working even though I miss out on the cinematic experience, but you are the only one I get the lore and story from an audio perspective because you take the time to read the written lore, which even I passed up on doing when I used to play this game ( gave up due to getting stuck on a part, and realizing I was not going to make it far without paying, since it is a gatcha game, which I refuse to do)
1:05:15 Since you can only have the vocal versions for the teapot, teleport to Romaritime Harbour before going to Vourukasha Oasis in case you miss hearing these instrumental versions again. The Caress of Three Mothers (1:07:20) is my favorite. I cried for no reason when I heard it for the first time. It's beautiful.
@@aethernity8270 somehow I feel a strong nostalgia for something that doesn't even exist in the first place. I don't know, it's kinda hard to describe.
Time for the dank lore desert! Love this area and quest, and getting some hints of Khaenri’ah and the trials Jakob and Rene went through in their early lives.
I like this area more and more as time goes by. At the time I think I was still a little burned out on desert, so I didn't see how good it was. I especially grew to love the OST more as time went on. I mean, obviously the oasis music was amazing and swept me away with beauty the moment I heard it. But the swamp music and the desert music for this region took me awhile before I could appreciate it. It's so good, though. Oh, and my GOD, the cave music is just creepy, fills me with dread. It's absolutely perfect considering what we find hiding deep inside...
@@whistlegirl5726 Its not exactly the same song. The one in fontaine is Passage of era. But the vocals just hits the same. U can hear it underwater. Idk if its true or just my headcanon but i think the song represents the previous Hydro Archon.
finally it's here! I went on a genshin hiatus in the middle of doing this world quest so I couldn't remember much of the lore of the first half.. thank you as always arnold! (also best ost is here in the oasis imo!!)
Kinda unrelated to the quest but I thought after finishing their journey abyss twin found out something and found that to do what twin want to do it's like a coin with two side so she joined dark side (abyss) and left light side (celestia) to the traveller and teyvat is just a middle stage process for prepration before a big fight
This was actually the first of the big desert world quests that I completed, kickstarting my love for the desert lore and stories, all because of Sorush and my curiosity behind the hole in the sky. Hyped to see this and be reminded why I loved this quest. Edit: I forgot about the petrified Wenut, that visual is still hype as ever, oh my god
It is really unfortunate for those who missed the Pari event. It has a continuation of the lore between Dain and Zurvan, The Skeptics and Sorush-which for me is very important to have a full idea what is going on with this world quest. But don't worry! This is why Arnold and his playthrough is here. And I can't thank Arnold enough for his let's play. Love revisiting everything via his playthrough.
Bro is playing since Day 1 AR 60 Has all the characters fully leveled and built with friendship 10 and still dies every stream to a random hillichurl 💀
Thank you for your videos....i stop playing, but still enjoy your time capsule...cant wait for your first impression on Fontaine....keep feed me those lore and theory from your side of view👍👍
I remember going into the oasis the first time and hearing the track and I was like "best music yet" until I finished the quest... it was then I was convinced Hoyo is just a music company that makes gacha games.
All the lore and theories forming in my head throughout the quest genuinely I don’t think I’ve experienced something like that with another quest in this game so far. I personally don’t fully understand the complaints I saw of “too much sand” back then bc that’s like saying too much grass with literally any region. And this area specifically just felt so different to me gameplaywise (which I really liked) and vibes were just different
So excited to watch u play thru this world quest and experience it all over again! It’s probably still one of my favourite world quests in Genshin so far!! It was so well done omg!! Hyped !!
@16:40 Yeah, started collecting Trishiraite in 3.6, just in case a new character in 3.7 needed them, or new weapon blueprints. Spent weeks farming the area for Hilichurl Rouges, Mourning Flowers, and Trishiraite. Fast forward to 4.7, Sethos comes out, me with almost 1,000 Trishiraite, my friends: "Hey, can I come in and mine the New Red Rocks for Sethos?", me: "Sure, fine, I guess..."
- I was wondering where I saw Nagar_______ recently- I really completely forgot about Nagarjunites :'D An Ode to Soul-Light turning to An Ode to Khvarena. It looked cool but it does look very pretty after 😩 - THE PARI ARE SO CUTE TOO -NAH WAIT. THE NIGHT TIME MUSIC AROUND THE PARI PLACE SOUNDS LIKE A RENDITION OF ETERNAL OASIS' - the chocolate milk xD

If anyone noticed idk if its that much important but everytime Aether is with lumine or vice versa paimon isn't there with the traveler. Like in caribert quest back in sumeru and in bedtime story quest and also in xianyun story quest cutscene. Paimon was not with us.
Hey Arnold! Unrelated to Genshin tho, but are you planning on replaying Kingdom Hearts on stream now that's arrived on Steam? Ofc, i assume you wouldn't do BbS and 3 since it's already on your channel, but maybe 1 and 2?
This questline took me 13 hours across 4 streams to complete, and that's from a content creator perspective as I read out all of the dialogue and read all of the notes and artifact lore we came across. It would take the average player, who doesn't read or verbally read out the dialogue half of that time to complete or less. Depends on how well you navigate fist-time exploration and complete puzzles. But no, it doesn't take THAT long.
@@MurderofBirdsImpact oh…. Ok I’m suddenly motivated after heading that The Yoimiya Story quest is the only other thing motivating me to finish this quest T_T Thanks for the input. Should be done in a 2 weeks at earliest of that’s the case
Only when it comes to a new area releasing since I tend to wait a few days for my community to play the content before I stream it. So if there’s a new character released with a new area, I still want to use those characters at their highest level, otherwise they’d be underleveled and unable to be used effectively. But like I said, this is only for when a new region or area unlocks.

I really miss Sorush. Her character development and personality is so cute.
I even equipped her outside Sumeru just to take her on adventures.
Sameee !!!
She's grown so much at the end of the quest. I love it!!
I just went back to equip her since my icon of choice was Sorush
