It's very enjoyable to watch you because you get jokes other lesplayers didn't get/appreciate to their full extent, like at 56:08 where Ralsei just says "Okay" is one of my favorite gags, it's actually something he does in chapter 1 too if I remember correctly.
That final shot of the smile on the TV looks a whole lot like Asriel's smile in Undertale when in his final form... And I think you're definitely on to something regarding Ralsei's involvement and how his name is just Asriel jumbled. Just thinking about the backstory of Undertale, and drawing parallels between the two games...THRILLING!
So, some clarifications, the running theory is that Kris isn't happy about having their soul and body hijacked by someone else (AKA you) and making them say and do things they wouldn't normally do, but also they clearly need you for some reason, which is why they keep putting the soul back in despite losing control when that happens. Most likely it seems like they don't have a lot of energy without the soul and may even not be able to survive very long without it. They mostly just take out the soul when they wanna do sneaky things without the player knowing about them. Kris being the night is definitely what the game wants you to think with that ending, however, Kris more than likely could not have created the dark fountain in the computer lab. Berdly and Noelle sitting in the middle of the room implies they had already sat down in the computer lab when the fountain was opened, and we see Noelle before entering Castle town, and Kris is fully accounted for both up until that point and when the fountain is most likely to have been created, but of course, Kris is meant to be seen as a candidate because of making the fountain at the end of this chapter. As for why they made the fountain, there are theories, but we generally don't know what Kris's mostivations are beyond mildly spoiler-y speculation. Also on the chapter select, there are 7 chapter...slots? at the moment, but there are also files for fonts for chapters going all the way up to chapter 10 and it's mostly believed that there could be less or more than 7 chapters, and Toby is just planning ahead and making sure he has these graphics ready if he ever needs them, though it seems to me like we will be getting at least 7 chapters, possibly more.
Spamton, in one of his dialogue options when you visit his shop, mentioned someone named "Mike" and told Kris not to trust what he sees on the TV. At the end of Chapter 2, right before the credits, it looks like the next chapter will take place in a TV world. Perhaps this Mike guy is going to be the final boss of Chapter 3, or maybe a secret boss like Spamton himself
A detail to help you theorizing: you control the soul, not Kris (in the ending of chapter 1 you can move in the cage). & you might like doing the "Weird Route" to learn more, but since you haven't done Undertale's Genocide Route it might not be your kind of thing, if you want to do it I recommend doing Genocide first.
After the end of chapter one bamboozled everyone making it look like Kris was Chara only for them to just be getting pie, I'm expecting the ending of chapter two to be doing something similar with making it look like Kris is the knight. The theory I'm hitching my wagon to is that this is Kris trying to make the police aware of the dark worlds. In both chapters you can talk to Undyne and try to warn her about the dark worlds, but she just thinks you're messing with her and laughs it off. So now Kris slashes Toriel's tires so she'll call the police and cracks open the front door so it'll look like someone's entered the building. Undyne'll show up, rush in thinking there's been a break in, and end up in the dark world.
You already know what I'm here to say.. heh.. Do the weird route!! Its so different trust me (if youve already seen my comments about it disregard, im just making sure you read at least one of them somewhere)

I'd like to say one thing. You're the soul, you're not Kris. Kris is their own person. For example, the "who would you like to take the the festival" question, if you answer Ralsei or Noelle, Kris will sound confused. They won't sound confused if you choose Susie, meaning they would like to go with her instead.

It was great to see your first experiences with this game! To update you on chapter 3: it’s actually coming out alongside chapter 4 and will signal the game leaving its demo phase with its first paid release. Chapter 3 and 4 are content complete at this point for pc but they are currently in the process of being translated to Japanese and ported to all the major consoles. So they are close but not too close. I’d personally guess that we are less than a year away but Toby fox has purposely not given a release window so who knows

Toby Fox puts out Deltarune newsletters every season, last one was a bit earlier this month, Chapter 3 and 4 are gonna be the next upcoming chapters and they're basically complete aside from bugtesting, japanese translations, and console ports.

You could replay Chapter 1 for the secret boss, who is pretty spectacular and/or replay Chapter 2 and do the Snowgrave Route, which heavily alters some scenes and the whole mood of Chapter 2.
If you like Toby Fox games you should try the Mother/Earthbound games that inspired them. You don't have to worry about playing all of them either, they're only loosely connected with a different cast of characters each game.
damn, now that you finished, theres a lot to talk about Kris, the Knight, Ralsei, Noelle, her family... man i love this game, lets lore and theory dump. So, whats going on with Kris? There are many theories about what and why does they do when they remove their soul, but first comes first, are they the ones removing it or is another entity? of course we still dont know, for many dialogues the game has, it obvious we, the Player, "exists" on that world and we are definitely NOT Kris. Whenever we make a choice that goes against their will, its reflected on the textbox. As some examples you did see on this playthrough, when you picked up the 5 dollars from Asriels drawers the description was "you reluctantly "borrow" 5 dollars". When Alphys asked if Kris has had troubles sleeping due to being partner with Susie, and you make Kris say they did, Alphys then responses "You say so with no negative connotation", and there are a few more details like this. Also whenever we make a choice Kris DO like, its also reflected, they were exited about finding moss and they said enthuciastically they wanted to perish (when Queen asked to join their side). That aside, is Kris controlled by another entity too? Well we dont know for sure, and in case it was confirmed, we dont know who is or what their intentions are. So that being said, to the juicy theories: in case it is Kris the one doing it by their will. why? well, there are many possible explanation. First of, Kris kinda surely hate us, we literally appeared out of nowhere and started controlling their life, they want some privacy and regain their freedom (the whole thing with Spamton litterally talking about having lost the control of their life and Kris being really freaked out adds up), So they at least eaten the pie cz they wanted to enjoy that for themselves, without us in the middle. Was Kris the one who opened a fountain in the library and are they the Knight? well it could be, at least we know that wasnt the last they opened, but we dont know how dark worlds work, if they did so, then upon opening the fountain it takes a while to "materialize" cz they did so in the middle of the night and Berdly and Noelle went AND studied for a while there before falling on the dark world, so its either that or another person who made the fountain. But they did it on their house, that confirms they are the knight, right? well they couldve just learned (as we did) from Queen, she literally said every lightner can. Okey then why do it? It could be to make Susie happy and/ot to hang up with her. She said even if it was dangerous its cool and fun and before entering the dark world in the closet she asked if they would be still being friends even if all that was false. So Kris, being someone who struggled making friends, could be scared of losing her friendship. Another good theory that i really like is Kris crying for help, not only they suddenly losed control of their life, but they tried to warn the police about the dark world (twice) and Undyne literally laughed at their face. If kris slayed the tires from Toriels car so she would call the police so they come and when they do they fall in the dark world, theyre forced to believe Kris. Also if we try to put on the shoes of a teenager thats really scared of something they dont understand, who better for help than a parent figure (Toriel in this case) and the police. And last, a theory i dont like but its really good anyway. What if Kris is the knight, theyre a super-smart mastermind who eaten all the pie, plugged on the TV (in ch1 it was unplugged) and opened the fountain at the computer lab predicting Berdly and Noelle would go there, shed invite Susie there, after closing the fountain shed offer Kris to accompany them to their house, Toriel would bake a pie later on the day than the day before, shed also invite Susie to saying over, slaying the tires car so Torield call the poilce to open a fountain with all them there for an unknown reason. Holly shit thats a lot of text and i didnt even started talking about Ralsei or Dess, im sorry 😭 Who is Ralsei? he is clearly similar to Asriel, the have the same letters in their name, they are goat-like beings, both of them were princes of a kingdom (Asriel in Undertale tho) and so on. Is Ralsei Asriel? i dont think so, first off, Ralsei its 99.9% a darkner, while Asriel is a lightner, how do we know that? well Asriel is a lightner cz darkners are objects in the light world, but how do we know Ralsei is a darkner? well, whenever we closed a fountain, all lightners returned to the light world, which Ralsei didnt, although he did travelled from both dark world to his dark world without someone carrying him over so you could assume he wakes up before everyone and rushed to the closet... or he can travel between dark world somehow, you see, all lighteners has black and white text boxes sprites while all darkners have a colored one, and Ralseis textbox sprites are colored, so that makes him a darkner 99.9% sure. But then, why does they are so alike as Asriel? maybe its because they existence is more linked to Kris rather than to Asriel. We know Kris hates the idea of being a human, not only being the only on the town makes them THE freak (Susie even mocked them for that before being friends) but also, when they see the others humans on that book, they shut it quickly, like afraid or reluctantly of them being human. Furthermore, as Toriel says in ch1, when Kris was little, they wondered when their horns will grow, at the end of the day its normal that children want to be like their family, but as their hornsll never grow, their family bought some red horns that Kris wore for months but its now lost, probably Toriel being super religious dumped it, and being Toriel the one, maybe she did it on the closet and now Ralsei is that hornsband. But not only that, not only we know Kris wants to be physically like their family, which Ralsei is, but they want to learn magic, which we know due to the search history on Queens personalized room and a dialogue with Catti saying how they studied occultism. And guess who can make magic, yes Ralsei. So hes probably what Kris wants to be, think what they should be, thinks what people expect from them or something like that. Which it adds up to Ralsei being so attached to Kris and he not knowing what "Ralsei-like" even is. Now is Dess's turn. Who is she? Dess (December) Holiday is Noelles older sister, she likes Wiffle ball (a sport similar to baseball i think, which explains why the moon was a baseball) cz in ch1, Noelles tell us she threaten Kris with beaten them up if they dont stop lying about Ice-e being a children eating monster (which is why Noelle searched "Is Ice e real cryptid?"), aside from that we know close to nothing. Something happened with her and Asgore could be related with that. A very important dialogue that you saldy skipped (its okay there are many that its impossible to have everything, i also missed a lot AND that specific dialogue the first time) it's on the police station, there are like newspaper on the board and one says something like "new police chief Undynes explosive debut, passionate young rookie becomes the new police chief. Though energetic, it may be hard to live up to the legacy after Asgore Dreemurr was removed from the force" which Kris stops reading. So something happened that made Asgore removed from the force and probably its the cause Toriel divorced him and why the Holidays and the Dreemurr grew apart with time, and it could all have something to do with dess disparition. But is she dead or just missing? well unless Noelle cant deal with the loss and shes coping really hard, shes missing since what you'd get from searching "December Holiday" will be christmas, and the calendar on her room was full of pages with December 25th. Theres SO many more i could talk but i think its enough xd Once again, enjoyed a lot your playthrough and hope you doing well
Warning: Long rant incoming, including some spoilers for Snowgrave (this warning is half for you, half for Amber) I don't think there's any reason to believe there's another entity controlling Kris. There's not really any evidence pointing to it, and it just confuses things that needn't be confusing. As for Asgore's removal from the force, yes it could be Dess related, but I just don't get that vibe for some reason. I feel like Dess's disappearance must be a mystery of some sort, and I don't think Asgore's reason for being fired would be so mysterious. That said, Asgore paying rent to "C" still intrigues me. That initial wouldn't be there if it weren't hinting towards something for later. Some think it could be the mayor, perhaps Christmas (unlikely) or Christine/Christina (likelier) Holiday? Putting that together makes links to Dess more likely for sure. Especially since Dess and the Holiday's mother are the 2 members of the family being kept in the dark, pardon the pun. Small nitpick, Undyne only laughs about the Dark World if you actually visit, but Kris gets Toriel to call anyways. I agree that wanting Toriel and a police officer to be there has to be some attempt to let others know. But I also think that Kris isn't some insane mastermind. Importantly, I don't think Kris quite has the strength to have done everything that would be needed to be the Knight. It would be a beyond Herculean task, and even then there are a bunch of odd inconsistencies. So I'm not personally a fan of Kris Knight. What I mean by Kris not having strength is that they seem very reliant on the SOUL. My evidence for that is solely in the fact that we never see Kris remove their SOUL for an extended period of time. But conversely, if they're very used to how much time they have, they could be making use of every single second and performing some next level speedrunning tactics to create fountains for some goal, probably freedom. Side note and question: Is it confirmed that Undyne is/would be the officer on their way? I mean this obviously makes the most sense, but if there's any chance it's Napstablook, I am dead set on believing it. Also, thinking further ahead, I'm trying to find ways for Kris to fail at spreading the secret of Dark Worlds. And one of the easiest ways would be if Toriel is the only one who enters, Napstablook being excluded on account of him being a ghost and all. I know it's a reach, but I also feel like if Undyne and Toriel both join the Dark World, then once they're out, their stories will align well enough that it'd be hard to just dismiss things as a dream. But given Noelle and Berdly's failure to compare stories, the only thing going for my guess is my reliance on Undyne to really scrutinize things rather than dismiss everything. Also, yes, the secret might just become an open one, but that seems so chaotic to me for some reason that I can't imagine it's the case. Another point to bring up is that Spamton on the Weird Route implies that it's the route that gives Kris the best chance at freedom, so this is another reason I feel like Kris wouldn't otherwise have as much control. Most importantly, it's just super weird to have Kris make the fountains and then "Kris" seal them, over and over. Ralsei horns is a theory I kinda like, but I also feel like Ralsei knows far too much independent of Kris, so can't only be a manifestation of Kris's desire to be like other monsters (metaphorical of course, but still). Ralsei's the one with all the knowledge about the Legend, the Roaring and the principles governing fountains. That said, if you go with the idea that Darkners inherently know things about their own Dark World, and the closet fountain, made of "pure darkness" being the first one, I suppose it would make sense for him to know things. Also, I'm just personally super suspicious of Ralsei, so any take I have regarding him is inherently biased. You make a point of Toriel being religious and therefore dumping the red horns, but honestly, I think religion is a sufficiently large theme in the game that *if* you're gonna accept that, you'd need to accept the existence of a Devil in the religion. Which is fine, of course, just pointing it out. I mean, there's also an Angel, and of course there's "Angel's Heaven" we need to banish, and just generally so much talk of Angels that it's impossible to not make those links. That's probably part of the reason many think Alvin's the knight. As for the Angel, there's plenty of hints to that being Noelle, as I'm sure you know. But given that, I can't work out what the Angel's Heaven would be, and why we'd need to banish it. Also... whether we'd need to? Noelle will probably get more focus in future chapters regardless, but this seems especially true if on the Weird Route. Alright I should cut this short or else I'll rant for ages. Didn't even get to speculate on whether or not frozen chicken's really frozen, or any details from the Sweepstakes, in particular the journal.

He could be evil (pls Toby dont, i need Ralsei to be alive) but yeh, if we close the options to "hes the hornsband" the only thing i can think of to explain why he knows so much is being born from "pure darkness" makes him know everything or something like that. And i can feel you, i also could keep goin on and on talking more about Ralsei, Dess, Gaster, how dark worlds and darkness work, the sweepstakes, the music and motives etc. But being honest im surprised someone took their time to read all that, i for sure wouldnt and its my own comment xD pd: I only answered the things i could contribute something so everything you pointed out but i didnt just take as "rather than repeating what you said, i dont think there anything to add"
you should totally react to the video explaining who Gaster was in Undertale and that relation to Deltarune! it adds a big amount of context to the games that can essily be missed due to random chance!
I am so disappointed that you never used *Duck Mode* in the Giga Queen fight. 😭 1:22:25 The Glass is a Shadow Crystal you got from defeating Spamton. You can also get one from defeating Jevil in chapter 1. Nobody knows what they do yet. It will most likely be revealed in a later chapter. 2:03:10 Yeah you did miss a weird thing on the beach in Chapter 1. It's probably not super important, but you can go back and play the chapter over again any time to find things you missed. I recommend you do that because you did actually miss a lot of little things. 2:09:45 *YOU* didn't go anywhere. Kris on the other hand...
not sure if that's your thing but i'd really recommend doing the "weird route" or "snowgrave route" as called by fans in a different save since it changes the second half of chapter 2 a lot. if you ever decide to do it you'll have to search up a guide for it and, of course, ready yourself emotionally. anywayyy, loved the playthrough!
Deltarune is very cute, I can't wait for the next chapters to come out. Also yeah lol, it might take a few years for the game to be finished, but Chapter 3 and 4 are releasing together, so I imagine they will release more frequently later on, hopefully? Also also, I think it's likely that there are more than 1 knights, but we won't know for sure until next chapter. (Mostly cause Queen doesn't recognize Kris as the knight, which is odd!)

Also on the chapter select, there are 7 chapter...slots? at the moment, but there are also files for fonts for chapters going all the way up to chapter 10 and it's mostly believed that there could be less or more than 7 chapters, and Toby is just planning ahead and making sure he has these graphics ready if he ever needs them, though it seems to me like we will be getting at least 7 chapters, possibly more.

Spamton, in one of his dialogue options when you visit his shop, mentioned someone named "Mike" and told Kris not to trust what he sees on the TV. At the end of Chapter 2, right before the credits, it looks like the next chapter will take place in a TV world. Perhaps this Mike guy is going to be the final boss of Chapter 3, or maybe a secret boss like Spamton himself

A detail to help you theorizing: you control the soul, not Kris (in the ending of chapter 1 you can move in the cage). & you might like doing the "Weird Route" to learn more, but since you haven't done Undertale's Genocide Route it might not be your kind of thing, if you want to do it I recommend doing Genocide first.
Genocide iis so much more of a commitment though. It's way longer, more grindy, and the battles are much harder than the weird route.
its better to just watch video of genocide than playing it yourself for people who doesn't have determination to do it
After the end of chapter one bamboozled everyone making it look like Kris was Chara only for them to just be getting pie, I'm expecting the ending of chapter two to be doing something similar with making it look like Kris is the knight. The theory I'm hitching my wagon to is that this is Kris trying to make the police aware of the dark worlds. In both chapters you can talk to Undyne and try to warn her about the dark worlds, but she just thinks you're messing with her and laughs it off. So now Kris slashes Toriel's tires so she'll call the police and cracks open the front door so it'll look like someone's entered the building. Undyne'll show up, rush in thinking there's been a break in, and end up in the dark world.

I'd like to say one thing. You're the soul, you're not Kris. Kris is their own person. For example, the "who would you like to take the the festival" question, if you answer Ralsei or Noelle, Kris will sound confused. They won't sound confused if you choose Susie, meaning they would like to go with her instead.

It was great to see your first experiences with this game! To update you on chapter 3: it’s actually coming out alongside chapter 4 and will signal the game leaving its demo phase with its first paid release. Chapter 3 and 4 are content complete at this point for pc but they are currently in the process of being translated to Japanese and ported to all the major consoles. So they are close but not too close. I’d personally guess that we are less than a year away but Toby fox has purposely not given a release window so who knows

Toby Fox puts out Deltarune newsletters every season, last one was a bit earlier this month, Chapter 3 and 4 are gonna be the next upcoming chapters and they're basically complete aside from bugtesting, japanese translations, and console ports.

You know what really makes this playthrough is the fact that you can actually read lmao, surprising how many people who play this literally cant keep up reading things out loud for the first time
You could replay Chapter 1 for the secret boss, who is pretty spectacular and/or replay Chapter 2 and do the Snowgrave Route, which heavily alters some scenes and the whole mood of Chapter 2.
If you like Toby Fox games you should try the Mother/Earthbound games that inspired them. You don't have to worry about playing all of them either, they're only loosely connected with a different cast of characters each game.

damn, now that you finished, theres a lot to talk about Kris, the Knight, Ralsei, Noelle, her family... man i love this game, lets lore and theory dump.
So, whats going on with Kris? There are many theories about what and why does they do when they remove their soul, but first comes first, are they the ones removing it or is another entity? of course we still dont know, for many dialogues the game has, it obvious we, the Player, "exists" on that world and we are definitely NOT Kris. Whenever we make a choice that goes against their will, its reflected on the textbox. As some examples you did see on this playthrough, when you picked up the 5 dollars from Asriels drawers the description was "you reluctantly "borrow" 5 dollars". When Alphys asked if Kris has had troubles sleeping due to being partner with Susie, and you make Kris say they did, Alphys then responses "You say so with no negative connotation", and there are a few more details like this. Also whenever we make a choice Kris DO like, its also reflected, they were exited about finding moss and they said enthuciastically they wanted to perish (when Queen asked to join their side).
That aside, is Kris controlled by another entity too? Well we dont know for sure, and in case it was confirmed, we dont know who is or what their intentions are. So that being said, to the juicy theories: in case it is Kris the one doing it by their will. why? well, there are many possible explanation. First of, Kris kinda surely hate us, we literally appeared out of nowhere and started controlling their life, they want some privacy and regain their freedom (the whole thing with Spamton litterally talking about having lost the control of their life and Kris being really freaked out adds up), So they at least eaten the pie cz they wanted to enjoy that for themselves, without us in the middle. Was Kris the one who opened a fountain in the library and are they the Knight? well it could be, at least we know that wasnt the last they opened, but we dont know how dark worlds work, if they did so, then upon opening the fountain it takes a while to "materialize" cz they did so in the middle of the night and Berdly and Noelle went AND studied for a while there before falling on the dark world, so its either that or another person who made the fountain.
But they did it on their house, that confirms they are the knight, right? well they couldve just learned (as we did) from Queen, she literally said every lightner can. Okey then why do it? It could be to make Susie happy and/ot to hang up with her. She said even if it was dangerous its cool and fun and before entering the dark world in the closet she asked if they would be still being friends even if all that was false. So Kris, being someone who struggled making friends, could be scared of losing her friendship.
Another good theory that i really like is Kris crying for help, not only they suddenly losed control of their life, but they tried to warn the police about the dark world (twice) and Undyne literally laughed at their face. If kris slayed the tires from Toriels car so she would call the police so they come and when they do they fall in the dark world, theyre forced to believe Kris. Also if we try to put on the shoes of a teenager thats really scared of something they dont understand, who better for help than a parent figure (Toriel in this case) and the police.
And last, a theory i dont like but its really good anyway. What if Kris is the knight, theyre a super-smart mastermind who eaten all the pie, plugged on the TV (in ch1 it was unplugged) and opened the fountain at the computer lab predicting Berdly and Noelle would go there, shed invite Susie there, after closing the fountain shed offer Kris to accompany them to their house, Toriel would bake a pie later on the day than the day before, shed also invite Susie to saying over, slaying the tires car so Torield call the poilce to open a fountain with all them there for an unknown reason.

Who is Ralsei? he is clearly similar to Asriel, the have the same letters in their name, they are goat-like beings, both of them were princes of a kingdom (Asriel in Undertale tho) and so on. Is Ralsei Asriel? i dont think so, first off, Ralsei its 99.9% a darkner, while Asriel is a lightner, how do we know that? well Asriel is a lightner cz darkners are objects in the light world, but how do we know Ralsei is a darkner? well, whenever we closed a fountain, all lightners returned to the light world, which Ralsei didnt, although he did travelled from both dark world to his dark world without someone carrying him over so you could assume he wakes up before everyone and rushed to the closet... or he can travel between dark world somehow, you see, all lighteners has black and white text boxes sprites while all darkners have a colored one, and Ralseis textbox sprites are colored, so that makes him a darkner 99.9% sure.
But then, why does they are so alike as Asriel? maybe its because they existence is more linked to Kris rather than to Asriel. We know Kris hates the idea of being a human, not only being the only on the town makes them THE freak (Susie even mocked them for that before being friends) but also, when they see the others humans on that book, they shut it quickly, like afraid or reluctantly of them being human. Furthermore, as Toriel says in ch1, when Kris was little, they wondered when their horns will grow, at the end of the day its normal that children want to be like their family, but as their hornsll never grow, their family bought some red horns that Kris wore for months but its now lost, probably Toriel being super religious dumped it, and being Toriel the one, maybe she did it on the closet and now Ralsei is that hornsband.
But not only that, not only we know Kris wants to be physically like their family, which Ralsei is, but they want to learn magic, which we know due to the search history on Queens personalized room and a dialogue with Catti saying how they studied occultism. And guess who can make magic, yes Ralsei. So hes probably what Kris wants to be, think what they should be, thinks what people expect from them or something like that. Which it adds up to Ralsei being so attached to Kris and he not knowing what "Ralsei-like" even is.
Now is Dess's turn. Who is she? Dess (December) Holiday is Noelles older sister, she likes Wiffle ball (a sport similar to baseball i think, which explains why the moon was a baseball) cz in ch1, Noelles tell us she threaten Kris with beaten them up if they dont stop lying about Ice-e being a children eating monster (which is why Noelle searched "Is Ice e real cryptid?"), aside from that we know close to nothing. Something happened with her and Asgore could be related with that. A very important dialogue that you saldy skipped (its okay there are many that its impossible to have everything, i also missed a lot AND that specific dialogue the first time) it's on the police station, there are like newspaper on the board and one says something like "new police chief Undynes explosive debut, passionate young rookie becomes the new police chief. Though energetic, it may be hard to live up to the legacy after Asgore Dreemurr was removed from the force" which Kris stops reading. So something happened that made Asgore removed from the force and probably its the cause Toriel divorced him and why the Holidays and the Dreemurr grew apart with time, and it could all have something to do with dess disparition.
But is she dead or just missing? well unless Noelle cant deal with the loss and shes coping really hard, shes missing since what you'd get from searching "December Holiday" will be christmas, and the calendar on her room was full of pages with December 25th.

Warning: Long rant incoming, including some spoilers for Snowgrave (this warning is half for you, half for Amber)
I don't think there's any reason to believe there's another entity controlling Kris. There's not really any evidence pointing to it, and it just confuses things that needn't be confusing.
As for Asgore's removal from the force, yes it could be Dess related, but I just don't get that vibe for some reason. I feel like Dess's disappearance must be a mystery of some sort, and I don't think Asgore's reason for being fired would be so mysterious.
That said, Asgore paying rent to "C" still intrigues me. That initial wouldn't be there if it weren't hinting towards something for later. Some think it could be the mayor, perhaps Christmas (unlikely) or Christine/Christina (likelier) Holiday?
Putting that together makes links to Dess more likely for sure. Especially since Dess and the Holiday's mother are the 2 members of the family being kept in the dark, pardon the pun.
Small nitpick, Undyne only laughs about the Dark World if you actually visit, but Kris gets Toriel to call anyways. I agree that wanting Toriel and a police officer to be there has to be some attempt to let others know.
But I also think that Kris isn't some insane mastermind. Importantly, I don't think Kris quite has the strength to have done everything that would be needed to be the Knight. It would be a beyond Herculean task, and even then there are a bunch of odd inconsistencies. So I'm not personally a fan of Kris Knight. What I mean by Kris not having strength is that they seem very reliant on the SOUL. My evidence for that is solely in the fact that we never see Kris remove their SOUL for an extended period of time.
But conversely, if they're very used to how much time they have, they could be making use of every single second and performing some next level speedrunning tactics to create fountains for some goal, probably freedom.
Side note and question: Is it confirmed that Undyne is/would be the officer on their way? I mean this obviously makes the most sense, but if there's any chance it's Napstablook, I am dead set on believing it. Also, thinking further ahead, I'm trying to find ways for Kris to fail at spreading the secret of Dark Worlds. And one of the easiest ways would be if Toriel is the only one who enters, Napstablook being excluded on account of him being a ghost and all. I know it's a reach, but I also feel like if Undyne and Toriel both join the Dark World, then once they're out, their stories will align well enough that it'd be hard to just dismiss things as a dream. But given Noelle and Berdly's failure to compare stories, the only thing going for my guess is my reliance on Undyne to really scrutinize things rather than dismiss everything. Also, yes, the secret might just become an open one, but that seems so chaotic to me for some reason that I can't imagine it's the case.
Another point to bring up is that Spamton on the Weird Route implies that it's the route that gives Kris the best chance at freedom, so this is another reason I feel like Kris wouldn't otherwise have as much control.
Most importantly, it's just super weird to have Kris make the fountains and then "Kris" seal them, over and over.
Ralsei horns is a theory I kinda like, but I also feel like Ralsei knows far too much independent of Kris, so can't only be a manifestation of Kris's desire to be like other monsters (metaphorical of course, but still). Ralsei's the one with all the knowledge about the Legend, the Roaring and the principles governing fountains. That said, if you go with the idea that Darkners inherently know things about their own Dark World, and the closet fountain, made of "pure darkness" being the first one, I suppose it would make sense for him to know things.
Also, I'm just personally super suspicious of Ralsei, so any take I have regarding him is inherently biased.
You make a point of Toriel being religious and therefore dumping the red horns, but honestly, I think religion is a sufficiently large theme in the game that *if* you're gonna accept that, you'd need to accept the existence of a Devil in the religion. Which is fine, of course, just pointing it out. I mean, there's also an Angel, and of course there's "Angel's Heaven" we need to banish, and just generally so much talk of Angels that it's impossible to not make those links.
That's probably part of the reason many think Alvin's the knight.
As for the Angel, there's plenty of hints to that being Noelle, as I'm sure you know. But given that, I can't work out what the Angel's Heaven would be, and why we'd need to banish it. Also... whether we'd need to? Noelle will probably get more focus in future chapters regardless, but this seems especially true if on the Weird Route.
Alright I should cut this short or else I'll rant for ages. Didn't even get to speculate on whether or not frozen chicken's really frozen, or any details from the Sweepstakes, in particular the journal.

And so i dont think Kris is the knight nor a mastermind, BUT saying only the thing i believe its kinda like gatekeeping theories, and the fun part of theoring is how a single things can be view from different angles.

As far as i know, nope, Undyne is not confirmed to be there on the 3rd chapter but ive never said she was either, i think Kris need some adult wholl believe their problems are real and tell other adults, so any police officer will help i guess.
About Ralsei... well we know close to nothing about why he knows what he knows, his form in the light world, heck, even his true colors. He could be evil (pls Toby dont, i need Ralsei to be alive) but yeh, if we close the options to "hes the hornsband" the only thing i can think of to explain why he knows so much is being born from "pure darkness" makes him know everything or something like that. Other than that, working with Gaster maybe?
And i can feel you, i also could keep goin on and on talking more about Ralsei, Dess, Gaster, how dark worlds and darkness work, the sweepstakes, the music and motives etc. But being honest im surprised someone took their time to read all that, i for sure wouldnt and its my own comment xD

you should totally react to the video explaining who Gaster was in Undertale and that relation to Deltarune! it adds a big amount of context to the games that can essily be missed due to random chance!

1:22:25 The Glass is a Shadow Crystal you got from defeating Spamton. You can also get one from defeating Jevil in chapter 1. Nobody knows what they do yet. It will most likely be revealed in a later chapter.
2:03:10 Yeah you did miss a weird thing on the beach in Chapter 1. It's probably not super important, but you can go back and play the chapter over again any time to find things you missed. I recommend you do that because you did actually miss a lot of little things.

not sure if that's your thing but i'd really recommend doing the "weird route" or "snowgrave route" as called by fans in a different save since it changes the second half of chapter 2 a lot. if you ever decide to do it you'll have to search up a guide for it and, of course, ready yourself emotionally. anywayyy, loved the playthrough!
Deltarune is very cute, I can't wait for the next chapters to come out. Also yeah lol, it might take a few years for the game to be finished, but Chapter 3 and 4 are releasing together, so I imagine they will release more frequently later on, hopefully?
Also also, I think it's likely that there are more than 1 knights, but we won't know for sure until next chapter. (Mostly cause Queen doesn't recognize Kris as the knight, which is odd!)
